Meet Bandit: Your Energetic and Playful Yellow Lab MixDescription:Bandit, a two-year-old, neutered male Yellow Lab mix, is a compact and adorable version of the typical Lab. His soft haircoat and an endearing quirk-his right ear points straight out-add to his charm and make him stand out as a uniquely delightful companion.Personality Traits:Outgoing & Playful:Bandit is the life of the party! His outgoing nature shines through as he exudes playfulness and boundless energy. He's always ready for an adventure and a round of fun activities.Loves Butt Scratches:One of Bandit's favorite things? Butt scratches! He'll bend almost in half to show you just how much he enjoys those scratch sessions on his muscular little cheeks. It's one of the many ways he'll steal your heart.Obedient & Playful Learner:Bandit has been working on learning basic obedience commands and has made great progress. He knows 'sit' for a "cookie" and walks nicely on a leash after a bit of playtime. His ability to run perfect figure eights in the exercise pen showcases his intelligence and eagerness to learn.Excitable and Fun-Loving:Bandit's enthusiasm knows no bounds! He's the perfect partner for outdoor activities, particularly enjoying rolling in snowbanks and splashing in puddles. Playing fetch is a favorite pastime, although returning the toy might not always be part of the game.Ideal Home:Bandit is looking for a country home where he can unleash his energy in fun and playful activities. His love for the outdoors and his excitable nature makes him an excellent fit for an environment where he can run, play, and explore. His exuberance suggests that he'd be better suited to a home with older children since he might accidentally knock over young ones, and as he's still learning about other dogs, he might prefer to be your one-and-only furry companion.Bandit is not just a dog; he's a lovable, spirited companion ready to infuse your life with joy and laughter. If you're seeking an energetic and playful partner who will be by your side through all the fun adventures, Bandit is ready to become your loyal and best buddy, bringing endless moments of joy and laughter to your home.

Story
Chester's human did not have time for him anymore so he went from living in the house to being kept in a kennel outside. Of course, he barked a lot and the neighbors started to complain. Our farm sanctuary took this boy to get him out of an unhappy situation and get him a new start with a loving family. He just wants attention and a human to play ball with. He is very active at the age of 5 and will fetch his ball (and delivers it to hand) all day. With all the birds here at the farm....well he is a hunting dog and in his mind, birds are for flushing and fetching. I think he has some hunting experience but don't know for sure. Chester would enjoy a family that has time to give him the attention he is starving for. He does not want to live outside in a kennel. He does not have that personality. He is a "velcro" boy that will follow you everywhere. He is picky about his doggy friends and does like to chase cats but don't hold that against him. He just gets a little jealous.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Say hello to Silvia. She is an energetic puppy equally ready to play and snuggle, her estimated DOB is 6/5/23. She is still working on house training. But is picking up kennel training well. Does great playing and interacting with other dogs. She is food motivated so needs to be kept on eye on when feeding other animals. Until she learns that it is not her food. She’s currently a little underweight. But we are working on that, and she should grow into a big healthy girl. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi, my name is Elsie and I am a Lab X with a DOB of 10/22/22 (approx 50lbs). I am a native to Minnesota where I was found roaming the streets in St Paul. Animal Control was kind enough to give me a lift as I thought it was to my house. But, actually it was to the nearest doggie jail where no one claimed me.   I am a sweet girl but I do have a few quirks I need to mention: I have resource guarding with toys, balls & bones with other animals ONLY and NOT with humans. You just need to take all my toys, hide them and I can play with other dogs in harmony.  I just think the toys are mine and no one else. Lastly, I am NOT a fan of the kennel and am very crafty on escaping the bar like jail that my foster mom puts me in. Because of this I now have my own   “No Break Kennel”. This now keeps me out of trouble when I’m home alone. I do bark at first when my foster mom leaves me but I settle down. Meanwhile, I’m taking a calming chew daily. Therefore, there are no shared walls for this girl.  A girl my age must be in athletic shape to jump / climb gates & fences, which by the way, I’m quite the pro. So, a tall fence or a tie out is recommended. Car rides may be a bit of a challenge as I like to ride a shotgun but then go back and forth.  They make a doggie seat belt as I have been told and I guess that should be used for any car rides in the future. I chew only on approved doggie toys when my foster mom is around such as stuffed animals, bones, and tennis balls. I have been known to chew items that are NOT doggie approved, so close supervision is recommended remember I’m still a puppy.  You may throw a tennis ball or two and perhaps I’ll drop one near your feet. But that may be a 50/ 50 shot and I do think for my age that’s pretty good odds.  I am learning not to dash out the door when it’s open.  I’m just very excited to follow my foster mom wherever she goes.   My Foster mom is teaching me to walk on a leash without pulling her down the block, she bought me a hot pink gentle leader (I'm the prettiest girl on the block now)  and is teaching me basic commands such as heal and stay for starters.  I have to say, so far so good as I do enjoy my walks in the neighborhood. I'm learning not to jump on people or tables. I'm getting better but this will take time as I just get excited and I want to investigate.  Potty training is a hit and miss, I go outside for the most part, but I don't always tell my foster mom  I have to go potty. She has to look for ques and body language. This will take time as well, but slowly, I'm getting it.  My foster mom says I'm a diamond in the rough, just a  few polishes here and there... I will be a good dog for someone.  Don’t underestimate my petite size as I can win you over with my cute wrinkled face. I should mention some of my GOOD qualities:  I just love belly rubs and scratches behind my ears. I do lick your face in pure enjoyment as I know I will be getting a scratch here and there in return.  I love sleeping in bed but only for a short time. I have NO reaction to barking dogs, vacuum cleaner or even the lawn mower. Just mow the lawn and I will follow behind you. I will do well with a family who may want to explore agility classes or even daily running.  I love playing with my foster brother but I do sometimes get the zoomies and do circles around my foster brother.  (He gives me a funny look) I’ve been trained to lay down when there is any human food around, NO begging is allowed in this household. I do require some kind of exercise, either walking or running and I prefer a 5-6’ fenced yard.   NO cats for this girl!  Here is the reason why - If you have a squirrel, bird or rodent issue, NO problem I stalk quietly at first --then chase them away for you.   I get along with dogs of any size and kids. What more can you ask for? I would love a family who can do activities with me (this keeps my mind sharp) and I can chill at the same time.   Are you my forever home?   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fallon is a wise, old soul. He is a Lab/Shepherd X with an approx DOB of 1/20/2022. He’s taking in new experiences as if he’s done all this before! Nothing is too urgent, except for meal time! He loves play time with other dogs and older children. He hasn't had a lot of exposure to children under the age of 10 so slow, controlled intros are advised. He has a nose to hunt and playfully enjoys chasing the chipmunks out of their hiding spots around the yard. He's quite an outdoor explorer, never quite ready to come inside. That being said, he quickly learned the underground fence boundaries and is no longer pushing the limits. He is crate trained, but as he gets older he's more and more comfortable outside of his crate and sometimes needs treat motivation to go in on his own. He loves hugs and snuggles and is always open to curling up in an available lap. Fallon is a medical needs dog. He has urinary incontinence, which requires him to wear belly bands at all times. He is on a strong dose of Proin 2x per day and a monthly testosterone injection, which helps some but he will always be a leaky boy. Changing his pads in his belly band a couple times per day is going to be very important to maintaining his hygiene to avoid urine scalding (burning of the skin due to prolonged exposure to urine). Commands he has learned include “sit”, “down”, “inside”, “outside” and “kennel”. He is making progress with stay, wait, stop and come. He has been with Wags & Whiskers since he was about 10 weeks old but as you can imagine it has taken the rescue a while to figure out what was "wrong" with him. He is now finally ready to find his forever family and we are hoping that his anotomical issues won't deter him from finding a home. He really is a sweet boy that will need a special adopter that is home often and willing to work with his leaky faucet Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal?
