Story
Meet York! This little boy is just over 9 months old and a lab mix. York is a fun loving puppy who would do best in a home who is ready for an active adventurous puppy. He needs a family ready to be the leader and continue to train him good behavior. He loves to run around the back yard and play with toys. He gets along well with other dogs including the resident dog. He is very treat motivated and eager to learn. In his current foster home, he learned to use the doggy door the 1st day and hasn’t had any issues with potty training and hasn’t any accidents in the house. The first day at his current foster home he was a little skittish of new things but he adjusted quickly and he is up to usual puppy antics. He is very curious and will explore his surroundings to see what he can play with. He has a current obsession with sock and has sniffed all the lost missing sock in his current foster home. York loves to play with toys but does need to be monitored with them because he likes to tear of little pieces off and tries to eat them. His current foster is working on drop and leave it which he is catching on to. York is very interested in people food and we have been working on proper manners. He does jump up and counter surf. In his current foster home he has been trained to sit in his “spot” in the kitchen which has helped to deter this behavior. We are also working on wait and a release word for his meals. He is catching on quickly that jumping and being on the counter is not allowed. York is recently going through a phase where he's got some stranger danger. He'll be successful in a home that has the time and patience for him to come out of his shell. He does GREAT once he knows somebody, but it will take some time. When he gets scared his reaction is to turn the other direction. York has some amazing jumping skills and can easily clear a regular height baby gate so he would need a house with a 6ft fence or would need to be taking on leash or be on a tie out. He was happily sleeping in a crate at night, but he grew out of it. He now sleeps on his bed on the floor but will happily sleep in your bed if you let him. York is an active treat motivated puppy who is looking for someone to explore and learn new tricks with. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Regina found herself unwanted and surrendered in West Texas. She is good with other dogs, kids and cats are unknown. All dogs and puppies require supervision and training. Gigi is perfection. Sweet and loving, she can't get enough attention, kisses, or pets. She gets along with other dogs and is good with kids but would do better with older kids. If you're having a lazy day she will cuddle all day long. If you're full of energy, she'll keep right up with you. She will be your best friend and stick to you like glue.  She's shown a little bit of human resource guarding or protective nature. She would do good with an experienced dog owner.  She loves to play with her two foster brothers and she doesn't let them get the better of her. She will entertain herself with toys or play for ages with other dogs. She's feisty, sweet, and full of love to give. She is very treat motivated and eager to learn new things.   She's great on a leash, but she does get distracted by squirrels or other small animals. Simply remind her to 'look at me' and attention goes back to you. If she sounds perfect for you, please submit an application on our website mattysheartandsoulanimalrescue.rescuegroups.org.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 22, 2023, 1:40 pm

She loves to play with toys, dogs and kids. Unfortuately she had a mishap while playing ball when she was just a baby. She jumped up to catch it mid air and landed very wrong breaking her leg. She is fully healed from and is doing great, actually it's as if nothing ever happend. She's kennel trained and potty trained.   She enjoys squeeky and crinkle toys. I bet you guessed, she LOVES balls, chasing butterflys and WATER is a blast for this girl.  She will play in the pool or the sprinkler/hose. A good bone, kong or toy are favorite past times help to keep her occupied while her foster is working from home. She knows sit, laydown and slow, working on leave it and off.  She enjoys going for a walk and has good leash manners. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Howie found himself unwanted at a high kill shelter in West Texas. He is good with other dogs and kids, cats are unknown.   All dogs and puppies require supervision and training.  Hi there, my name is Howie! I am very sweet, affectionate, and a bit of a couch potato.  I was recently rescued from Texas and am currently settling in with my new foster family. They have two other dogs and another foster dog that I enjoy being around and sometimes playing with too. It makes me comfortable to have another dog around to show me the ropes, because new places can be a bit scary.  When I was in Texas, I don’t think I had reliable access to resources like I do now. Because of that I can be a little protective over my food and sometimes my kennel or favorite bed. My foster mom says I am doing really well eating right out of her hand though and that I am a very brave boy.  When I’m not lounging on my bed or playing with my new dog friends, I am keeping my foster parents company! I love to lay right next to (or on) them and be pet. It really comforts me to cuddle and be around people I can trust. I like to stand up and give my foster mom hugs because she makes me feel safe.  I saw two cats on my first day here when I was a bit stressed, and I think I was introduced to them too quickly because I didn’t like them very much. I’m not sure how I would feel about meeting another cat again anytime soon.  There is also a tiny human here and even though she runs fast and yells sometimes, she doesn’t scare me one bit.  My foster parents say that they also love that I am house trained (though I have had a few accidents when my tummy didn’t feel good) and that I don’t cry at all in my kennel overnight. They tell me I am such a good boy all the time.  Although I really like it here there are a lot of dogs and I would love a family to call my own. I need a family that will be patient with me and take things slow as I am learning to trust them and adjust to my new home. If you pick me though I promise to give you endless snuggles and all the love I can for the rest of my life.  Priority will go to applicant who can bring to vet visit in the Twin Cities Metro, MN. Please put in your application on our website mattysheartandsoulanimalrescue.rescuegroups.org.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 22, 2023, 1:40 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Rollick and his two siblings, Taboo and Jenga found themselves unwanted at a high kill shelter in West Texas. They are good with other dogs and kids, cats are unknown.   All dogs and puppies require supervision and training.  Rollick came from Texas to Minnesota in August 2023 with his siblings. He is a Lab mix and it’s estimated that he was born in spring 2023. The name Rollick means “to behave in a carefree, joyous manner” and that names really fits his personality! He is a very happy and loving dog. He absolutely loves to cuddle up with you on the couch and watch a movie or the Vikings game!   Because he is a young dog, he has a lot of energy. He would do well in an active household that can take him out for walks frequently. He likes toys more than treats and is a bit of a picky eater.   Rollick doesn’t like being in his kennel, but with time, training, and showing that you’ll always come back that can be corrected. He is a bit of an escape artist and can easily figure out how to get out of a traditional wire kennel. However, his foster mom has a large metal crate with thick bars that she bought on Amazon and that successfully keeps him contained while she’s at work. He doesn’t bark unless he wants to be let out of his kennel or there’s someone at the door. Rollick is a great watchdog!   Rollick would do great with kids as he is very gentle and will smother you with kisses! He also does well with his foster brothers and the neighbor dogs. Cats are unknown, but his foster mom guesses that he will chase them! So if you have a cat who can stand up for themself, they should be fine and can learn to be great buddies.   Make sure to keep your doors and fence closed with Rollick around, because he sure loves to explore! He wants to go out and see the neighborhood if you’re not careful.   Rollick is a great dog and loves to love. He wants to be your best friend and he hopes that he will find his forever adventure buddy soon!Priority will go to applicant who can bring to vet visit in the Twin Cities Metro, MN. Please put in your application on our website mattysheartandsoulanimalrescue.rescuegroups.org.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 22, 2023, 1:40 pm
