To apply for a dog from All Dog Rescue, please fill out our online application at www.AllDogMN.org.  All Dog Rescue only adopts to homes within 60-miles of the Twin Cities. Visit our FAQ page to learn why. Hey, it's me, Penny! I'm a 4-year-old, 60-pound Shepherd mix, and if you're looking for a loyal, independent companion with a side of sass, well... you found her. My foster mom says it's time I share my story, so let's get to it.First off, baths and nail trims? Ugh, not my jam, but I'll grin and bear it (mostly). I'm 99% house-trained (accidents happen, okay?) and I'll mosey over to the door when nature calls. I get along with other dogs if there are no toys or treats involved, but if you want me to be the star of the show, I'm cool with that too. Very cool. I mean, who wouldn't want me as their one and only?Kids and cats? Eh, let's not. I live with a cat right now, but honestly, I'm more interested in keeping the yard squirrel-free&#194&#151which I do quite well, thank you very much.I'm a little shy at first and need some time to warm up to new humans, but once I trust you, we'll be best friends for life. I'm not big on shared walls - aka apartments - because I do have some opinions I like to voice. I'm also a bit of a Houdini when it comes to harnesses, but my foster mom found a collar I can't escape from. Challenge accepted, I guess!I love walks, backyard time, and car rides. I'll need a fenced yard, though, because my brain loves puzzles, and sometimes those puzzles involve digging under fences for a bit of solo exploring. Supervision is key here, people.I'm smart, I'm independent, and yes, I can be stubborn, but I promise once I'm in your circle, I'm a total lovebug. Just add pizza crusts and a little patience, and we'll be golden.October 25, 2024, 12:26 pm

To apply for a dog from All Dog Rescue, please fill out our online application at www.AllDogMN.org.  All Dog Rescue only adopts to homes within 60-miles of the Twin Cities. Visit our FAQ page to learn why. Nala is posted on Petfinder! Here's her bio for iShelters:Do you have a lot of tennis balls sitting around the house and you don't know what to do with them?Meet Nala! Nala is a 2 year old lab mix who would love to play fetch with you as long as you would like. Bonus - when you are done throwing, Nala is fine to hang out on the couch with you. She would like you to know that around 8pm is when she is done for the day and she'll get ready for bedtime then.Nala's goals in life: Fitting as many tennis balls in her mouth at one time (her current record is two), finding someone with a fenced in backyard for maximum tennis ball fetching safety, making as many human friends as possible.Nala prefers other dogs who are low-key, as she is still working through how to control her energy when meeting new dogs. If you have zero dogs in your home right now, Nala would be a great fit to fill your family! Nala loves people but may be too excited for a little kid, or kids who have not been around dogs before. She is hard at work with a trainer who is patiently showing her how to be a proper lady around other dogs, and helping her be the best Nala she can be!To apply for a dog from All Dog Rescue, please fill out our online application at: alldogmn.org/Adopt.htmlAll Dog Rescue adopts out to homes within 60-miles of the Twin Cities due to post-adoption services and volunteer commitment. Story
Luna was rescued from the Humane Society as a puppy (less than a year old). She is adorable, snuggly, full of energy, and loves to give kisses! We love her dearly. Luna is now 6 and can be a pretty anxious pup and struggles especially with vet visits, fireworks, and busy settings. She also has a strong prey drive. Luna is super smart, and responds super well to praise and treats. She can sit, stay, lay down, come, heel, give you her paw and her recall is pretty good. We are combining households, and Luna's prey drive is just too strong for the other pets to safely live. Luna would thrive where there are other big dogs to run and play with and acreage to sniff and explore with her humans...and perhaps a place where she can live her best hunter life. She does great with other big dogs and big kids, but she hasn't spent a ton of time around small children. We hope to find her a place where she can thrive and run!

Story
NOODIN PLANS TO COME TO A MEET AND GREET/ADOPTION EVENT ON SATURDAY APRIL 18 AT FLEET FARM 5635 HADLEY, OAKDALE 11 - 2:00. COME FOR SOME CUDDLES. MAYBE GO HOME WITH YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND. Noodin (Ojibewe for wind) is a black and white pup with speckled feet who was born in his PUP foster home on January 15. This little boy has never had a bad day in his life. He was one of 6 pups born to a beautiful and athletic 30# husky/shepherd/Australian Cattle dog/Chihuaha mommy. Size wise, Noodin is in the middle of litter. Mommy was an abandoned dog in a remote rural area. A concerned citizens asked if we could take her into rescue as pooch was homeless, pregnant and it was very cold. Mommy (pictured) is a beautiful girl who has been a devoted mommy but is ready to pass on the responsibility to someone else. Puppies are mostly using newspapers but are learning to do stairs and go outside. We had DNA testing done on one pup from the litter. They are quite the mix and daddy must have been quite the character. There are a total of 27 breeds: in double digits are German Shepherd 21%, Chihuahua 12% and Australian Cattle Dog at 11%. There is 7% pug, 6% Catahoula Leopard Dog and the rest are under 4%: Border Collie, Great Pyrenees, Australian Shepherd, Miniature American Shepherd, Dachshund, Pekingese, Pomeranian, Bichon, Toy Poodle, Siberian Husky, Chow, Malamute, Samoyed, Shar-Pei, Akita, Bull Mastiff, American Bulldog, Pit Bull Terrier, Neapolitan Masstiff, Labrador Retriever, Goden Retriever and Greyhound. We call it hybrid vigor. You can call it pretty much any breed you want. There is no possibility of inbreeding here!! We think puppy will be in the upper end of mid-size when an adult based on current weight and age. The early months are when puppy learns the social skills needed to be a skilled dog in dealing with other dogs and a good citizen in the human world. Adopters should be committed to getting puppy into lots of new and different human social situations, hearing vacuums, trucks, and rattling garbage cans, meeting people who are clapping, laughing, with hats, tools, bikes and skate boards. AND puppy needs many opportunities to meet and greet dogs of all shapes, sizes and dispositions. Just sharing a home with another dog is not as much doggie socializing as puppy needs. If good canine social skills are not learned and maintained during these early months, it will be very difficult to ever master them. Puppy play dates, trips to the pet store, puppy socialization classes and later, obedience classes are particularly important. If all this doggie time and involvement seems like a good idea, you are up for a puppy! As always, a tired dog is a good dog. Puppy has been vet checked, is vaccinated, and de-wormed. He will need two additional puppy vaccinations plus rabies at the adopter’s expense. We do place puppies outside the metro area if a firm plan for the alter surgery is in place; we do not ship. His required alter surgery is covered by the adoption fee if it is done by 6 months at the PUP clinic. We require that he be altered by 6 months. If you are at least 21 years old and everyone in your household is on board with adopting a puppy, CALL 651-645-4370 between 7:00 am and 9:30 pm and we will return your call within 24 hours. We are pretty slow at responding to e-mail. Renters must provide proof that you are allowed to have a puppy. If you currently have a companion dog or cat please be prepared to provide a vet reference prior to adoption if requested. https://youtube.com/shorts/Pms7qyE6Qvo

Story
Eddie is a 1-year-old Black Lab who is sweet, strong, and incredibly loyal! Weighing in at around 55 pounds, he’ll stick by your side like it’s his full-time job. This young pup is house-trained and crate-trained. He does well in his crate for extended periods, settling in after a few minutes. Eddie loves standing on his hind legs to watch the world through the window or gently grabbing your hand with his paw just to keep you close. He loves chew toys, tug-of-war, and most of all, your attention. He usually has at least two walks a day and some active play like tug-of-war or zoomies around the yard. His leash manners are still a work in progress, so his future family should give some extra training to help guide him.He would prefer a home where someone is around often. Loud noises and unfamiliar people can spook him, but with patience and routine, he’s learning to feel more confident. Eddie is not able to live in a home with other dogs because he becomes very overstimulated when he sees them. He hasn’t lived with cats or children.Eddie is looking for a home to grow up in and give love in return! Are you ready for Eddie? If you are interested in this dog, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $250. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.

Story
Victoria Mae (“Vicky”) is an 11-week-old Lab/Pit mix who loves to snuggle. At 12 lbs, Vicky’s main goals in life are simple: cozy up to as many people as possible and squeeze in plenty of naps along the way. This sweet girl is already off to a great start: she’s crate-trained and improving every day with house training. When taken outside, she does her business right away and is learning how to let her humans know when it’s time to go. She settles nicely in her crate with minimal fuss and is becoming more independent with short periods alone. So far, she tends to just watch other dogs from afar but is happy to play too! She currently lives with a cat and knows how to respect her boundaries. As far as human kids go, she has experience with ages 3-10 and absolutely loves the attention and fun they have. When she's ready to play, Victoria Mae LOVES tug-of-war! She has a medium energy level so just a short walk is perfect for her. Then she snuggles up close, and quietly watches the world from the deck. When she wants to say hello, she'll find you on the couch and give you a "boop" on the head!Vicky would thrive in a home where she can get plenty of love and companionship, as she truly adores being around her people. If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly, and well-mannered puppy to grow with your family, Victoria Mae might just be your perfect match! If you are interested in Victoria Mae, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $550.
