Story
HI - I'M SHIRLEY, and I'm a very special girl. I was clearly loved by someone once because I'm pretty chubby - I weigh about 93 pounds! I was impounded at a scary California shelter and while there, I rested patiently, just waiting for someone to notice me. I'm a 7-year-old Lab-Pit mix, so I figured it may take awhile, and sure enough I ended up being the shelter's longest resident. They kept me around for months because I am such a great, easygoing girl. I'm very quiet, mellow and I love human attention and affection. I'd make a great movie-watching buddy or snuggler. I truly need a foster or forever home. If you can open your home and heart to be, I would be so grateful. I'm currently in California, but can be transported to you in Minnesota. Please email for an application.

Story
To apply for a dog from All Dog Rescue, please fill out our online application at www.AllDogMN.org.  All Dog Rescue only adopts to homes within 60-miles of the Twin Cities. Visit our FAQ page to learn why. Hey, it's me, Penny! I'm a 4-year-old, 60-pound Shepherd mix, and if you're looking for a loyal, independent companion with a side of sass, well... you found her. My foster mom says it's time I share my story, so let's get to it.First off, baths and nail trims? Ugh, not my jam, but I'll grin and bear it (mostly). I'm 99% house-trained (accidents happen, okay?) and I'll mosey over to the door when nature calls. I get along with other dogs if there are no toys or treats involved, but if you want me to be the star of the show, I'm cool with that too. Very cool. I mean, who wouldn't want me as their one and only?Kids and cats? Eh, let's not. I live with a cat right now, but honestly, I'm more interested in keeping the yard squirrel-free&#194&#151which I do quite well, thank you very much.I'm a little shy at first and need some time to warm up to new humans, but once I trust you, we'll be best friends for life. I'm not big on shared walls - aka apartments - because I do have some opinions I like to voice. I'm also a bit of a Houdini when it comes to harnesses, but my foster mom found a collar I can't escape from. Challenge accepted, I guess!I love walks, backyard time, and car rides. I'll need a fenced yard, though, because my brain loves puzzles, and sometimes those puzzles involve digging under fences for a bit of solo exploring. Supervision is key here, people.I'm smart, I'm independent, and yes, I can be stubborn, but I promise once I'm in your circle, I'm a total lovebug. Just add pizza crusts and a little patience, and we'll be golden.October 25, 2024, 12:26 pm

To apply for a dog from All Dog Rescue, please fill out our online application at www.AllDogMN.org.  All Dog Rescue only adopts to homes within 60-miles of the Twin Cities. Visit our FAQ page to learn why. Nala is posted on Petfinder! Here's her bio for iShelters:Do you have a lot of tennis balls sitting around the house and you don't know what to do with them?Meet Nala! Nala is a 2 year old lab mix who would love to play fetch with you as long as you would like. Bonus - when you are done throwing, Nala is fine to hang out on the couch with you. She would like you to know that around 8pm is when she is done for the day and she'll get ready for bedtime then.Nala's goals in life: Fitting as many tennis balls in her mouth at one time (her current record is two), finding someone with a fenced in backyard for maximum tennis ball fetching safety, making as many human friends as possible.Nala prefers other dogs who are low-key, as she is still working through how to control her energy when meeting new dogs. If you have zero dogs in your home right now, Nala would be a great fit to fill your family! Nala loves people but may be too excited for a little kid, or kids who have not been around dogs before. She is hard at work with a trainer who is patiently showing her how to be a proper lady around other dogs, and helping her be the best Nala she can be!To apply for a dog from All Dog Rescue, please fill out our online application at: alldogmn.org/Adopt.htmlAll Dog Rescue adopts out to homes within 60-miles of the Twin Cities due to post-adoption services and volunteer commitment. Story
Nala is a very sweet girl. She loves her brother Jeno! We would love them to go together but willing to split to the right people that understand there will be some anxiety for awhile. They are 4 years old and were adopted at the tail end of covid so very much home bodies. They need a back yard to play in and are not very good on a leash. But they are super smart and could easily be trained. Nala is obsessed with tennis balls. She will play roll it or fetch with you all day if she could. Jeno likes a ball too but is more interested in chasing bunnies and irritating his sister by taking what is hers. Typical siblings behaviors. I moved to Hawaii in September for work and my daughter thought she could handle having them at her apartment. That is not the case. They are unhappy not having more room to run and play. She also works odd hours and they are just alone too much and we both feel it would be better if they could find a home with more space and people that have more home time.

Story
Skye is a one-year-old black Doodle who is bursting with energy! At about 50 pounds, she is whip-smart and always has the cutest full-body wiggles when she’s happy. This pup thrives on exercise and engagement. She loves the mental challenge of learning new tricks and is eager to please, picking up commands quickly. Whether it’s chasing a ball, tossing a rope toy in the air, or running alongside you, Skye is always ready for action! She will require a fenced yard in her future home to meet her energy needs.Skye is house-trained and great at signaling when she needs to go outside. She does well with her crate, including naps and bedtime.. Because of her history, Skye sometimes struggles to relax and may feel fearful of new situations or people, so patience is key when she's adjusting to a new home. Once she's comfortable, she loves being near her people and taking all the belly rubs she can get. When making new friends, her foster family recommends slow introductions. She does not have experience with cats, and her reactions to meeting new dogs are mixed. Sometimes she's interested, and other times she's afraid. With her humans, she will require a home without young children (no kids under 13) because of her mouthy behavior when excited.Skye is looking for an active home with people who enjoy having a smart, loyal companion by their side. With some patience, she’ll grow into the wonderful, devoted dog she’s meant to be!If you are interested in this dog, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.

Story
Meet Vince — the sweet boy whose tail starts wagging the second you glance his way! This loving pup adores snacks, hunting bugs, and chewing on sticks or bones. He’s also a big fan of splashing around and playing in the water. Out of all his siblings, Vince is the best listener, already knowing basic commands like sit, down, and come. Vince is great with kids, walks well on a leash, and is housebroken. If he ever picks up something he’s not supposed to have, he’ll drop it the moment you call his name. He’s the last one to run out the door, always turning back to make sure you’re coming with him — because for Vince, adventures are better together. 🥰 Want a sidekick to follow you everywhere? Vince is your guy! Local adoption fee is $250(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)
