********AVAILABLE******* Hi Everyone, My name is Baxter and I am a 6lb 6-7 year old Maltese. I’m hoping that I can find a family who is up for somewhat of a challenge. Maybe a Unicorn family so to speak? I’ve been called “A terrible dog”. Unpredictable and just plain crazy. People just haven’t been able to understand my quirks. I’m nothing but misunderstood!! I do need some time to adjust as something in my past has left me very nervous. My human mom passed away and I was put into the system. I’m used to a quiet and peaceful home. My human foster sister is my most favorite person ever and her mom is pretty nice too. If you have patience and lots of love I’m your guy! Am I a bit of a challenge? Maybe!! Am I cute as cute can be? Definitely!!, Am I worth the effort? You bet I am!! I am an adorable and smart little boy. When I like you….I would do anything for you!! If I don’t, then I’m a bit of a tiny Jerk!! Investing your time and love into me will be so worth it!! I promise!! I am good with other animals. I get along with all sizes and ages of dogs. This sweet 7 yr old Maltese mix recently came to us from a shelter so his history is unknown. But from even his first few days it's obvious he was in a home since he makes himself comfortable on a couch or in your bed and loves to cuddle. He is good with other dogs of a similar size. It will take us a little more time to know more about his personality.   Stop by our weekly adoption events on Saturdays from 12-4 pm at 372 Townline Road in Mundelein, IL 60060 to meet our adoptable animals in person. Delia is a little ray of sunshine! She’s as sweet as they come, loving, happy, and always ready to soak up every bit of affection you’re willing to give. Whether she’s cuddled up next to you, napping in a sunny spot, or heading out for a nice walk, Delia is simply happiest being part of your day. She especially enjoys playing with her foster sister and joining in on daily activities. While baths aren’t exactly her favorite thing, she tolerates them like a champ. Adaptable, affectionate, and full of personality, Delia would thrive in a patient home that respects her boundaries and gives her the love and reassurance she deserves. Spike is a handsome maltipoo mix. He can be a little shy at first, it takes him a minute to trust someone and warm up. But once he does, you have best friend for life! He is a very happy cuddly dog. Spike has the most fun natural blonde Mohawk that just adds to his charm! DOB 5/8/24 and around 25 lbs. Spike prefers a home without cats and, honestly, would do best as the only furry companion. He can be a bit of an attention hog and doesn’t like to share his favorite human! He would also do best in a home with no kids or kids over 12, who will respect his personal space while he adjusts to a new environment. Meet Amber Amber is a 5-year-old Maltese weighing just 10 pounds, looking for a loving forever home through Tiny Paws Small Dog Rescue. Amber came from a puppy mill, so she is still learning that people can be kind and trustworthy. She can be timid at first, but she is making progress every single day with patience, love, and gentle encouragement. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and especially loves her best friend, Betty. The two of them run and play in the fields together and are constant companions indoors and outdoors. Because she loves the companionship and confidence she gains from other dogs, Amber would do best in a home with another friendly companion dog. Amber uses puppy pads, rides nicely in the car without getting sick, and takes treats very gently from your hand. She also enjoys curling up in your lap and being softly petted. Amber is still gaining confidence, so she will need a calm, patient home that understands she needs time to fully blossom after the years she spent in a puppy mill. She is also considered a flight risk, so a physically fenced yard is required for her safety. Invisible/electric fences will not be considered. In return, you’ll get to watch a sweet little soul learn what love truly feels like.
