You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Myles — a happy, lovable Maltipoo who’s ready to find his forever family! Born around March 12, 2025, Myles weighs 17.6 pounds and is full of personality. He came to us as part of a 29-dog seizure where, although the dogs were cared for, they didn’t get the individual attention and socialization they needed. Despite that, Myles has proven to be incredibly friendly and people-loving. He thrives on attention and is always excited to be around his humans. Myles would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time, as he truly enjoys companionship and being part of daily life. Myles has also been seen by an ophthalmologist and has cataracts in one eye. He is currently on special eye drops, and we are hopeful for improvement with continued treatment. He also has a playful side—he absolutely loves toys and is always up for some fun. Whether it’s a game of toss or just carrying his favorite toy around, he knows how to enjoy life. He’s currently learning how to walk on a leash and will benefit from a patient adopter who can continue helping him build confidence and skills. With his sweet nature and eagerness to connect, Myles is sure to make a wonderful companion. Myles’ adoption fee is $400. Priscilla is currently in a foster home. If you would like to meet her, please start by visiting www.sccrescue.org and completing an application.Priscilla may not live at Graceland, but she absolutely carries herself like royalty. This approx. five-year-old Maltese mix arrived a little unsure of the spotlight, easily startled by new sounds and quick movements, often retreating to her “cubby” crate like a starlet escaping the flashing cameras. But just like her famous namesake, once she realized she was safe and adored, her true personality began to shine. These days, she happily lounges beside her people on the couch, soaking up pets and brushing sessions while keeping a watchful eye on her kingdom. She’s sweet, affectionate, and devoted — the kind of companion who quickly becomes your little shadow — though she still keeps a touch of sass worthy of a Presley.Priscilla has mastered the art of house training and politely lets you know when she needs to go out by pacing or heading for the back door. She enjoys the finer things in life: cozy dog beds, relaxing in her crate, tasty meals with softened kibble and canned food mixed in, and the occasional treat she may attempt to “borrow” from another dog if given the opportunity. While she’s cautious around other pups at first, she’s beginning to discover her playful side, recently initiating games with toys and joining the fun for short bursts before returning to her composed diva demeanor. She knows “sit,” responds to directions to go into her cubby, and only barks when there’s truly something worth announcing.Outdoors is where Priscilla channels her inner rock-and-roll energy. She loves strutting ahead on walks like she’s leading her own tour, though she’s still working on leash manners. She adores running around outside and will happily follow the excitement if another dog spots a squirrel or bird. Though she can occasionally get a little mouthy during play, she’s otherwise respectful in the home and doesn’t chew things she shouldn’t. Beneath her glamorous straight coat hides soft curly fur that requires regular brushing to keep her looking stage-ready and mat-free. Priscilla is searching for a patient, loving home where she can continue building confidence, stealing hearts, and living like the beloved queen she was always meant to be.We love our dogs. Monty is a sweet, affectionate little boy with a lot of love to give! Although we don’t know his exact breed, he is a curly haired pup and doesn’t bother his foster mom’s allergies. He walks with a slightly wide gait between his hind legs and he has a crooked tail, but this doesn’t seem to bother him or slow him down! He can run and go on long walks just like any little dog. He likes to jump up on his hind legs to say hello to people and loves to give people little kisses. He will need regular grooming, especially near his butt, since poop does tend to stick to his fur there due to his crooked tail swinging lower. Monty is quiet most of the time and he gets along well with dogs when off leash but is working on greeting dogs on leash. He will sometimes bark at other dogs when they are out of his reach (e.g., when he’s on the leash and they are farther away, when separated by a fence) but has not shown any aggression whatsoever toward his foster dog siblings, even when he’s on leash and they aren’t. He doesn’t bark when the doorbell rings, when he sees his foster parents get home, or when his foster dog siblings are barking at something outside. When he’s excited, he will spin in a circle and sit nicely. Monty enjoys following his foster parents around the house, sitting on their laps, getting held on his back like a baby, and exploring outside on walks. He is not a picky eater and cleans his bowl at each meal. He is crate trained and keeps his crate clean overnight and when his foster parents aren't home. He is still working on being fully house trained but he is making excellent progress in his first week being at his foster home! If you are looking for a sweet boy to be your new buddy and love you unconditionally from day 1, look no further! He is more than ready to find his forever home and meet the people who will treat him like the little prince he is!
