Story
Rosie Posey has been a wonderful, devoted mom to her six puppies, and now she’s ready to find a forever home of her own. She’s fun, playful, and full of charm, with a personality that will keep you smiling every day. Rosie is super friendly and loves to snuggle. She's potty trained and crate trained, so she's ready to be a polite and well-mannered addition to her forever home. She has good recall, responds well to her name and walks beautifully off-leash where she'll check in with you regularly. She is people-centered and food-motivated. She needs continued training on being on leash and not jumping on people when greeting them. Rosie's foster family reports she’s playful and gentle with kids and other dogs. She's loving and social and will greet you with a hug in the morning. She loves to follow her people everywhere, and will definitely sit in your lap whenever possible. If you're looking for a friendly, playful and loyal companion, Rosie is your girl! Apply today to meet her.

Story
Meet Nellie! She is a playful, sweet-natured pup, who loves having her belly rubbed! She has enough energy for a long walk, but is also quite happy to chill at home with her people. She has been doing well learning her basic commands with the help of her wonderful foster family. She's also made great progress with potty training. If she's on a regular schedule, she chooses to pee outside only, but she hasn't learnt to signal she needs to go out yet, so may have a couple of accidents if she doesn't have regular outside access. Nellie can be a little shy when meeting other dogs and people, but soon warms up, and she gets on fine with children (she currently lives with respectful human foster siblings and they get on great). She can get alarmed by new experiences and loud noises but is learning to cope with them. She is learning to chase and fetch a ball, and her current favorite toys are sheep and bunny! She also loves squeaky toys and, despite not being particularly food motivated, she loves carrot. If this sweet, affectionate girl seems like a great fit for your family, apply today to meet her!

Story
Sweet Lila has known the hardest side of life, but she’s finally getting her chance to start over. When she was found in the shelter, it was clear she had been used for breeding and neglected for years. Her teeth were in terrible shape, her body showed signs of long-term strain, and she struggled to walk comfortably due to moderate lameness. Despite it all, Lila’s gentle heart never gave up. Now that she’s safe, Lila is soaking up every bit of kindness that comes her way. She adores soft beds, belly rubs, and being told she’s a good girl because she truly is. Her favorite moments are the quiet ones, just being near the people who love her. She’s learning that the world can be gentle, and she’s blossoming more each day. Lila doesn’t need much, just a calm, loving home where she can rest, heal, and be treated like the treasured companion she’s always deserved to be. After everything she’s endured, she’s ready for the simple joys: cozy naps, short strolls, and endless affection. If you’ve ever wanted to make a difference in a dog’s life, Lila is the one. She’s waited long enough for someone to show her what love truly feels like.

Story
🐾 Meet Winnie 🐾 If you’re looking for a loyal best friend, professional napper, toy enthusiast, and certified couch companion, Winnie might just be your perfect match. Winnie is the sweetest, funniest bulldog who absolutely adores her people. Whether you’re a family, a couple, or a single person looking for a constant companion, Winnie is happiest when she’s spending time with the people she loves. She follows her humans everywhere and just wants to be included in whatever you’re doing. One of Winnie’s favorite things in the world is her toy basket. Every single day she proudly empties every toy onto the floor, making sure each one gets the attention it deserves. She loves chasing balls and will even bring them back for another throw! Winnie also loves car rides. The second she sees an open car door, she’s ready for her next adventure. She’s a wonderful companion for errands, outdoor dining, and leisurely outings. When her foster family takes her to restaurants, she happily relaxes at their feet, soaking up all the attention and enjoying being part of the family. Because of arthritis, Winnie has some mobility limitations. She can’t manage stairs on her own and doesn’t go on long walks. But don’t let that fool you—she still loves getting outside and exploring the world. Her favorite way to adventure is in her stroller, where she can sniff around, enjoy the fresh air, and cruise in comfort like the queen she is. Winnie is easygoing, loves peanut butter, takes her medications like a champ, and is perfectly content spending her days napping, playing with her toys, and hanging out with her people. Fair warning: she snores like a sailor, but her foster family finds it absolutely adorable. What Winnie needs most is someone who understands that her greatest joy in life is companionship. She would thrive with someone who works from home, is around often, and wants a devoted sidekick to share their days with. After everything she’s been through, Winnie deserves a soft place to land and a family who will love her exactly as she is. Could that be you? ❤️ To apply to adopt Winnie, please visit http://loveslegacyrescue.com. 💕 Winnie isn’t looking for an active lifestyle. She’s looking for her person. Someone to love, nap beside, and spend her golden years with.

Story
Meet Espi. A Gentle Soul Learning That the World Can Be Kind. She is about 5-6 years old. She was found severely starved on an abandoned property, left to fend for herself. Despite everything she’s been through, Espi has shown us that her heart is still open. She is a very sweet girl, she just needs a little time to feel safe with new people. She is shy at first and takes some time to trust. The best way to win her over is actually to give her space and let her come to you. Fast movements toward her face or coming towards her too fast can make her nervous so patience and calm energy goes a long way with this girl. Once she realizes she’s safe, she will ask you for pets by giving you her paw. She is house trained, crate trained and does well with other dogs. While she isn’t necessarily looking for a constant playmate, she enjoys hanging out and coexisting with other dogs. Espi is very food motivated. She hasn’t quite mastered taking treats gently from your hand yet, but she absolutely loves playing catch with treats and will happily participate in a snack toss session. Because Espi is still learning to feel safe in the world, she would do best in a calm, adult only home. Older, respectful environments where people understand that trust takes time will allow her to thrive. She can live with or without other dogs. She just needs someone patient enough to let her unfold at her own pace. If you believe in giving dogs a second chance and understand the time and compassion they deserve, Espi might be the girl you’ve been waiting for.
