Story
Bowser is 20-pound pup who is ready to find an active family to call his own. Whether it's a morning walk, a hike, or a weekend adventure, he'll happily be by your side. After the fun is over, he's just as content to curl up on the couch for some well-earned cuddles. His foster mom describes him as smart, eager to learn, and highly food motivated, making training both fun and rewarding. He enjoys working with his people and loves having a job to do. Bowser will thrive in a calm home in a quiet neighborhood with experienced adopters who can provide structure, consistency, and continued positive reinforcement. He is looking for an adult-only home, or one with older, dog-savvy teens, where his boundaries will be respected. If you're looking for a loyal companion to share both your adventures and your downtime, Bowser may be the perfect match.

Story
Feather or Gus. We are neutered, chipped & vaccinated. We are Pug Schnauzer mix. Mom is 100% Pug & dad is Schnauzer/mini Poodle. We are 4 months old & our days consist of playing & taking naps. We are doing awesome with potty-training. Being 50% pug means we will shed. Even if you think maybe we won't because of our Schnauzer genes, it's better to assume that we will, because pugs shed a lot, so we won't be good in a home w/someone w/allergies. We are very playful. We are not crate-trained, although we do sleep in a playpen w/each other. We’ve never been alone before, so we will probably need to get used to it, or maybe someone will adopt who has a pup friend already. Tell us about yourself. Your location, your current pets, your work schedule & any info about your household. Adopt one... or maybe both!

Story
Hi, I’m Feather. I am a 4 month old pug schnauzer mix. I love playing with toys and doing zoomies. I am looking for a forever home with a family that will be home with me often because I really love the companionship of my humans. I’ve grown up with my littermates so I love other dogs. I’m not sure about cats. Please reply with a bit of information about yourself: your general location, current pets, work schedule, and a quick overview of your household. My humans want to ensure that I go to the best possible match for the both of us

Story
Pug / Dachshund Mix Age: ≈ 4 years old Female, spayed 15 lbs Adoption Fee: $125 (includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations) Cheerio came to the Sacramento County Shelter underweight and with an embedded foxtail in her neck. It was removed surgically, but post-op they had trouble stopping the bleeding. She tested negative for any blood clotting disorder - perhaps the surgery nicked an artery? Eventually, the bleeding stopped, but it left her anemic. The shelter needed a rescue group that specializes in medical cases to continue addressing her veterinary needs. Over time in foster care, her anemia improved and she gained her weight back. She is a very friendly, sweet dog. She likes attention and affection from her foster parents and volunteers. She likes roughhousing with the younger, larger dogs in her foster home. She doesn’t like being confined or kept away from the activities of the home. Crate training would be pretty difficult - lots of barking. Apartment living may not be the best option for her. We have no experience with her as an only dog. We would recommend that she go to a home with other playful, friendly dogs. Please note that we don’t adopt any of our dogs out to homes with children under the age of 13. Story
Johnny Cash is a classic Bulldog through and through—easygoing, loyal, and happiest when he’s close to his people. This handsome guy is house-trained, walks nicely on leash, rides great in the car, and has mastered the art of relaxing. Johnny Cash is the definition of a companion dog. Whether you're watching TV, reading a book, or enjoying a quiet afternoon at home, he's more than happy to be right by your side—and preferably in your lap if you'll allow it. After a stroll around the neighborhood or a car ride adventure, he's content to settle in and enjoy the comforts of home. Like many Bulldogs, Johnny Cash can have a stubborn streak and sometimes likes to do things on his own timetable, but his charming personality makes it easy to forgive. He's a low-key guy who isn't looking for a busy lifestyle—just a family to love and a comfy place to lounge. When meeting other dogs, Johnny Cash can be a little socially enthusiastic. He tends to march right up and introduce himself without much concern for canine etiquette, so any dog friends should be comfortable with his forward approach. Slow, thoughtful introductions will help set him up for success. If you're looking for a calm, affectionate companion who enjoys walks, car rides, and plenty of quality couch time, Johnny Cash may be the perfect match. (CT)

Story
Tyson is about 4 years old. He's extremely playful and loves to get close with people. We recently had a baby and tried to keep him with us for a year, but in our home is too small and we don't have time for him like we used to. He is an indoor dog. Like most bulldogs he has his share of medical problems. He has a cherry eye and severe heart murmur. He also has a severe case of seperation anxiety. he is also intact (not neutured). The only problem we've ever had wity him was potty training. He lets you know when he wants to go outside but if you miss the cues he'll pee inside. He will also pee or poop if he feels anxious (usually only triggered when left alone inside). All in all, a very good dog and it pains us to part ways with him. Be aware that bulldogs are maintanence heavy.
