Chimichanga is a grumpy-looking 18 lb guy, but don't let his frown fool you! This guy has lots of energy and is always happy to see you. We think Chimichanga is a pug mix, but we're not really sure. We do know that he has an unmatched zest for life and will surely add some fun to any household lucky enough to adopt him!

Mouse is an unbelievable adorable 8.5 lb senior girl. With a perpetually stuck-out tongue, the cutest little waddle, and a carefree attitude, Mouse has it all! She is easygoing with all people and other dogs, and appear to be potty trained.

Peony is a 3 year old 17 lb mama dog. Her puppies found placement with another rescue, and Peony became a Rocket Dog. Peony is super sweet and affectionate with people and does great with other dogs!

Bowser is 20-pound pup who is ready to find an active family to call his own. Whether it's a morning walk, a hike, or a weekend adventure, he'll happily be by your side. After the fun is over, he's just as content to curl up on the couch for some well-earned cuddles. His foster mom describes him as smart, eager to learn, and highly food motivated, making training both fun and rewarding. He enjoys working with his people and loves having a job to do. Bowser will thrive in a calm home in a quiet neighborhood with experienced adopters who can provide structure, consistency, and continued positive reinforcement. He is looking for an adult-only home, or one with older, dog-savvy teens, where his boundaries will be respected. If you're looking for a loyal companion to share both your adventures and your downtime, Bowser may be the perfect match.

Meet Starfruit, the professional nap enthusiast who believes life’s greatest joys are belly rubs, leisurely walks, and sleeping approximately 18 hours a day. At 6–7 years old, this adorable little Chug has perfected the art of cozy living and is searching for a loving home where she can continue her career as a full-time cuddle companion.   Daily Routine   Starfruit keeps life simple and sweet. Her mornings begin around 10 AM with a potty break followed by breakfast. After that? Back to bed, naturally. She spends most of her day lounging comfortably in her favorite bed in the living room, though she insists on following her person from room to room like the world’s cutest little shadow.   She heads out again for potty breaks around 4 PM and 8 PM, with dinner served between 7–8 PM. By bedtime, Starfruit is happily curled up beside her human, ready for another peaceful night of snoring softly and conducting her adorable overnight “security checks.”   Every so often during the night, she’ll briefly wake up to make sure everyone is still present and accounted for. One reassuring arm stretch from her person, and she immediately settles back into dreamland. It’s both hilarious and ridiculously endearing.   Personality   Starfruit may be a sleepy couch potato, but underneath all those naps is an incredibly loving, sensitive, and devoted little dog. When she first arrived at her foster home, she was extremely timid. She spent her first day trembling quietly in her crate, unsure of her surroundings and hesitant to trust anyone.   With patience, gentleness, and plenty of comfort, Starfruit slowly began to open up. Now, she has completely blossomed into a cuddly, affectionate velcro dog who wants nothing more than to be near her favorite humans. She follows her foster everywhere, eagerly asks for pets throughout the day, and sleeps happily snuggled right beside them.   She’s also surprisingly smart and learns commands quickly—often after hearing them only a couple of times. She’s sensitive, attentive, and very in tune with her people. Correct her gently, and she immediately understands.   Starfruit’s only tiny diva moment? She refuses to eat plain kibble without a tasty topper. Honestly, she has standards.   Around Other Dogs & New Experiences   Though Starfruit was initially nervous around other dogs, she has grown much more confident over time. These days, she may cautiously greet other pups or give a brave little bark while simultaneously keeping one paw ready for a speedy retreat if necessary. It’s a very “I’m tough… but also maybe not” kind of energy.   She’s not particularly playful and would much rather lounge on the couch than chase toys around the house. However, mention the word “walk,” and suddenly Starfruit transforms into a happy-dancing social butterfly. Walks are absolutely the highlight of her day.   She walks nicely on leash and rarely pulls, except when approaching elevators or large trash cans, which she finds deeply suspicious and mildly terrifying.   Training & Manners   Starfruit is house trained, crate trained, and comfortable relaxing in a play pen. She’s quiet overall and only tends to bark when unfamiliar people appear at the front door.   She doesn’t chew, dig, or get destructive, and she has wonderfully calm house manners. She truly thrives in a peaceful, predictable environment.   Ideal Home   Starfruit would love a calm, loving home with people who appreciate a quieter, lower-energy companion. She doesn’t need endless adventures or constant activity—she just wants closeness, affection, soft beds, and someone to adore.   Because she’s a clingy little shadow, her future family should be prepared to have a permanent tiny assistant following closely behind them at all times. Personal space? Not really her thing.   She also sheds a little, but her foster says she more than makes up for it with her sweetness.   Why You’ll Fall in Love   Starfruit is the kind of dog who quietly sneaks into your heart and never leaves. She’s gentle, disciplined, affectionate, and incredibly easy to love. Her foster describes her as the ultimate stress reliever—especially when she’s curled up in their arms, snoring peacefully without a care in the world.   All Starfruit wants is love, cuddles, belly rubs, and someone who will cherish her exactly as she is. Dad’s identity remains a mystery, but whoever he was, he clearly contributed to Cubey’s impressive combination of comedy, confidence, and squishy potato proportions.   A Potato with Play-Doh Legs   Cubey is absolutely hilarious. He is a chonky little puppy who is still figuring out how all four legs are supposed to work together. When he runs, his journey generally includes several tumbles, slides, and near misses. His depth perception is equally optimistic: Cubey regularly believes he can climb onto a cushion, only to discover midway through the attempt that he may have miscalculated. His favorite game is hide-and-seek with his foster mom. When she hides and calls his name, Cubey comes charging toward her with complete determination—and a spectacular number of slips, slides, and somersaults along the way. Cubey also comes equipped with a special reverse gear. When he finds himself in a predicament or decides he would like to leave a situation, he simply begins backing away, often while carrying a toy in his mouth.   The Chairman of Quality Control   Cubey resembles a tiny, disgruntled old man who has been placed in charge of customer satisfaction. He has opinions, standards, and absolutely no hesitation about sharing them.  If his food is not served quickly enough, his favorite toy is unavailable, or his couch transportation service is running behind schedule, Cubey will lodge a formal complaint. He doesn’t bark constantly; he communicates through an assortment of grumbles, grunts, little barks, and backtalk. His perpetually judgmental expression suggests that he is carefully documenting every infraction. Even when he is being demanding, Cubey is irresistibly funny. He may be only eight weeks old, but he already has the personality of someone who would like to speak with management. Play Hard, Nap Harder   Cubey is playful without being wildly energetic. He generally has about 45 minutes of activity in him before his battery runs out. When that happens, he finds a corner, curls up, and goes to sleep—whether or not an actual bed is available.   In fact, Cubey seems to prefer the least comfortable sleeping arrangements possible. He can often be found underneath his bed or smooshed dramatically against the side of his pen. His foster family has tried relocating him to softer accommodations, but Cubey promptly returns to his chosen position. He sleeps like a potato with Play-Doh limbs and has the photographs to prove it.   Cubey typically wakes around 6:30 a.m. for a potty break and playtime. His days follow a puppy-friendly rhythm of meals, backyard adventures, play sessions, potty breaks, and frequent naps. He eats breakfast around 7:30 a.m., lunch around 1 p.m., and dinner around 7:30 p.m. By approximately 8:45 or 9 p.m., he is usually sound asleep. Waking him for his final potty trip may require kisses, treats, and considerable negotiation. Sometimes he simply curls up on the grass and resumes sleeping.   Because Cubey is still so young, he may need one additional potty break around 11 p.m. After that, he sleeps through the night in his crate without making a peep.   Independent—but Never Far Away   Cubey is a wonderful blend of independent explorer and affectionate companion. He enjoys being near his people, climbing on them, playing with them, and chewing his favorite toys. He is also confident enough to wander away and investigate something interesting before returning to check in.   Dogs, Wildlife, and Sling Adventures   Cubey lives with 10-pound and 30-pound older dogs. He loves sniffing them, hanging out near them, and repeatedly inviting them to play. His efforts have largely been ignored, though he has received a few appropriate corrections when his puppy play-biting became too enthusiastic. He is learning to respect their boundaries.   Because he is too young to explore public spaces on foot, Cubey rides in a sling during walks. He loves observing everything around him and is especially excited to see other dogs. In the backyard, he enjoys watching birds and squirrels.   Cubey has not yet lived with children, but his foster family believes his playful, social personality could make him a wonderful family companion with appropriate supervision and guidance. He could be equally happy as an only dog or as part of a pack.   Crate and Potty Training   Cubey is making excellent progress with crate training. He naps in his crate during the day and sleeps there overnight. Chicken breast is currently his preferred crate-training currency; when he sees the chicken, he knows exactly where to go. He may occasionally whine for five to ten minutes before settling down, but then he falls asleep. When his nap is over, he makes a distinctive mooing sound to announce that he is awake and ready for service.   His potty training is also going very well for such a young puppy. He no longer relies on potty pads, can currently hold his bladder for about an hour, and understands the phrase “go potty.” Successful trips are rewarded with a liquid treat from a pouch while he continues trying to understand the concept of solid treats.   Cubey is teething and assumes that nearly anything could potentially be a toy, but he is easily redirected to something appropriate to chew.   Cubey’s Forever Home   Ice Cube is a funny, resilient, affectionate puppy with a wonderfully oversized personality. He would thrive with a family ready to continue his crate training, potty training, socialization, and general puppy education. At only eight weeks old, he still needs frequent potty breaks, plenty of supervision, appropriate chew toys, and patient humans who understand that puppy skills take time to develop.   In return, Cubey promises endless entertainment, enthusiastic backtalk, unconventional sleeping positions, surprise reverse maneuvers, and the privilege of being silently judged by one of the cutest little faces around. September 7, 2026, 1:13 pm
