Story
Hiya friends, my name is Gadget! I'm a 1 year old, 19 lbs., neutered male Pug mix! I'm a happy go lucky, energetic little firecracker! I'm a playful guy who tends to have a more rough and tumble play style that not all dogs appreciate, I also love to run zoomies and play with toys. Due to my rambunctious nature, I would do best in a home with kits 10+. As you can see from my description, I'm a Pug mix. I have a lot of Pug characteristics but who knows, I am not really sure what I actually am. I could honestly be a little bit of everything and that way you get the best of everything in one dynamic little package!  Gadget ID#A975521Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Drop-In hours for Same Day Adoptions are 11 am – 5 pm, 7 days a week (closed major holidays). We do our best to update our listings regularly, but we can’t guarantee every animal you see is still available. It’s also typical for us to have animals who haven’t had their photos taken yet, so you are welcome to visit our adoption center and have a look around! To check on an animal's adoption status, please call 650-340-7022 during normal business hours to speak with an adoption counselor. Emails will be returned as soon as possible, but please allow up to 48 hours during busy adoption periods like weekends.November 22, 2025, 2:34 pm

Story
We love Grin's crooked smile  and his super-soft fur. Grin is about 8 years old and currently a bit over 16 pounds. He loves people and is super affectionate with his person; he loves to cuddle and would like a home where he is allowed in the family bed. That said, he is not needy and he is crate trained and will sleep quietly all night in his crate. &#226&#128&#139Grin seems like a cross between a Puggle (Pug/Beagle) and   another breed. He has some of the looks of a Puggle, but not all. Grin lives with 3 other dogs and is great with them. He plays well with his foster sisters and respects the senior dog in the house. He would do fine with other dogs, or as an only dog. He is house trained and knows how to use a dog door. Grin walks well on leash and is great on neighborhood walks where other dogs are also on leash. He will bark at off-leash dogs that run towards him, his foster is working on this and he is doing very well, but he would not at this time do well in off-leash dog parks. He is fine meeting new dogs in his home or their home, and has made friends with some dogs he has met on walks (the key is when their people give him treats). Grin would be fine in a home with older, dog-savvy kids. He is fine with visiting children. If you are looking for love,  Grin may be the guy you are looking for.   Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation for each adoption. The suggested donation for Grin is $200. If you are interested in adopting Grin, please complete our online adoption application at https://www.gratefuldogsrescue.org/adoption-process/ . One of our volunteers will get back to you. Adoptions are local, confined to the SF Bay Area. See our other available dogs at  https://www.gratefuldogsrescue.org/available-dogs/ November 7, 2025, 8:47 pm

Story
Pug / Dachshund Mix Age: ≈ 4 years old Female, spayed 15 lbs Adoption Fee: $125 (includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations) Cheerio came to the Sacramento County Shelter underweight and with an embedded foxtail in her neck. It was removed surgically, but post-op they had trouble stopping the bleeding. She tested negative for any blood clotting disorder - perhaps the surgery nicked an artery? Eventually, the bleeding stopped, but it left her anemic. The shelter needed a rescue group that specializes in medical cases to continue addressing her veterinary needs. Over time in foster care, her anemia improved and she gained her weight back. She is a very friendly, sweet dog. She likes attention and affection from her foster parents and volunteers. She likes roughhousing with the younger, larger dogs in her foster home. She doesn’t like being confined or kept away from the activities of the home. Crate training would be pretty difficult - lots of barking. Apartment living may not be the best option for her. We have no experience with her as an only dog. We would recommend that she go to a home with other playful, friendly dogs. Please note that we don’t adopt any of our dogs out to homes with children under the age of 13. For more information about Cheerio, contact nobodysperfektdogs@gmail.com

🐾 Meet Vader — The Social Butterfly Pug 🐾 Vader is a charming little pug with a big personality and an even bigger heart. As a true social butterfly, he adores meeting new people and pups alike. Whether he's greeting guests at the door or making canine friends at the park, Vader’s friendly nature shines wherever he goes. This handsome boy is also delightfully vocal—he’s never shy about expressing himself with cute grumbles, snorts, and happy barks. His chatty nature only adds to his endearing character.
