Story
Meet Squirt Squirt is a happy, outgoing pup who brings fun and friendliness wherever he goes! With his “social butterfly” personality, he loves meeting new people and making friends—whether they have two legs or four. He’s great with kids, good with other dogs, and truly thrives in a family environment. With a medium energy level, Squirt is always up for playtime, adventures, or a good romp with friends, but he also knows how to settle in and enjoy some quality cuddle time. He loves leaning in for affection and has a soft, gentle way of interacting that makes him easy to love. Squirt is especially motivated by affection, which helps him build strong bonds and makes training a positive, rewarding experience. He’s eager to connect and happiest when he’s included in the action. If you’re looking for a playful, friendly companion who will fit right into family life and keep everyone smiling, Squirt is ready to jump in and steal your heart.

Story
We love Grin's crooked smile  and his super-soft fur. Grin is about 8 years old and currently a bit over 16 pounds. He loves people and is super affectionate with his person; he loves to cuddle and would like a home where he is allowed on the bed. That said, he is not needy and he is crate trained and will sleep quietly all night in his crate. Grin needs an adult home. &#226&#128&#139Grin seems like a cross between a Puggle (Pug/Beagle) and   another breed. He has some of the looks of a Puggle, but not all. Grin lives with 3 other dogs and is great with them. He plays well with his foster sisters and respects the senior dog in the house. He would do fine with other dogs, or as an only dog. He is house trained and knows how to use a dog door. He does need a home with a private yard or patio. Grin doesn't pull on leash and is great on neighborhood walks where other dogs are also on leash. He will bark at off-leash dogs that run towards him, his foster is working on this and he is doing very well, but he does not do well in off-leash dog parks. He is fine meeting new dogs in his home or their home, and has made friends with some dogs he has met on walks (the key is when their people give him treats). If you are looking for love,  Grin may be the guy you are looking for.    Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation for each adoption. The suggested donation for Grin is $200. If you are interested in adopting Grin, please complete our online adoption application at https://www.gratefuldogsrescue.org/adoption-process/ . One of our volunteers will get back to you. Adoptions are local, confined to the SF Bay Area. See our other available dogs at  https://www.gratefuldogsrescue.org/available-dogs/ March 7, 2026, 12:47 pm

Story
Gruyere is a cheese that becomes more flavorful with age, and the same can be said of our Gruyere, a perfect pug with fur the color of midnight who is sometimes sweet, sometimes salty, but always delicious. Gruyere is perfect for a family looking for a nugget to shower with love in exchange for some pug ASMR: snorts, growls, tiny whines and more. Gruyere has a lot of energy and is always trying to make new friends, so you might see him campaigning for Mayor of Muttville as he stops and says hello to every dog, and the humans too! It won’t be long until your hands are full of pug fur as this dapper gentleman smothers you with kisses. What more could you ask for?
