Story
Meet Nellie, a young pug mix with a sweet and playful spirit. When she first arrived at her foster home, Nellie was shy and uncertain. Patient support from her foster family helped her true personality blossom. Today she is a fun-loving dog who likes making new friends. She loves to run and play with other dogs of all sizes and is just as eager to greet their owners with a happy tail wag or rolling over for belly rubs. Nellie offers a wonderful balance of energy and affection. She has plenty of stamina for trail hikes and loves a good game of fetch in the garden. Once her outdoor adventures are done she is wonderfully adaptable. She is perfectly happy lounging on the couch, snuggling on the big bed, or settling into her own dog bed nearby. Here's what her foster family have to say about her: "Nellie is a sweet and quiet housemate, she loves sofa cuddles and belly rubs anytime, anywhere. She handles household noises like vacuums and hair dryers with ease and only barks to politely alert at the front door or garden gate. While she isn't a fan of the television, she manages this on her own by simply retreating to her bed or crate for a quiet rest whenever it's on. Nellie sleeps reliably through the night in her crate and rests comfortably in it for two to three hours during the day. She's fully house trained and clearly lets you know when it's time to go out by heading straight to the back door. She responds wonderfully to training, knowing "sit," "down," "drop," "stay," and "place," while practicing excellent manners at doorways. She also walks nicely on the leash, and sits patiently at the curb until it is time to cross the road. She has met cats up close and shows no desire to chase them out on walks. Nellie is great in the car, happily hopping into the car and settling into her car seat. Out on walks, she is still building confidence around heavy traffic, particularly large trucks. She's sweet-tempered and completely non-reactive, Nellie warms up quickly to new adults and gentle children. While fast-moving or loud energy can make her feel a little shy, she has a thoroughly gentle nature with zero aggression. She was a lovely guest at a local BBQ and settles in easily when visiting neighboring homes." She is ready for a supportive home where she can feel safe, keep thriving, and share her huge heart. If this sweet girl sounds like a great fit for you apply today to meet her!

Story
Having produced some of the finest consoles in the video game industry, Nintendo is ready to "switch" from rescuing Princess Zelda on the streets of Stanislaus to being your best friend. A handsome brown-eyed fellow not unlike Donkey Kong, Nintendo is a chihuahua mix who qualifies as a Young Senior at only eight-years-old. He is great with other dogs, and loves long walks followed by couch time. Take him to headquarters in Kyoto, or stay home to play video games. As long as Nintendo is receiving your love and affection, he'll be your little Super Mario forever. Here's some notes from his foster: I love how he gets excited when I get home. He gets very playful and it’s fun watching him get the zoomies. Nintendo is great at keeping eye contact, which makes me think he can be trained easily. He follows me everywhere and always wants to be close. He’s just aching to be loved. With each passing day I see so much more out of Nintendo. His personality continually blooms on a daily basis. First of all, he’s smart. He learns tricks on nearly the first try and learns how to follow commands. He’s gaining more confidence with each passing day. I can’t rave enough about this pup. He’s so eager to please! He’s going to make his new owner a very happy person.

Story
When you’re going back to school, few things are as indispensable as manila folders, and, while our Manila may not fit in your backpack, you’ll have trouble envisioning how you lived without her! She’s the perfect thing to keep you organized around her daily walk, meal, and treat schedule, although she’s a lax taskmistress – we hear she can be easily bribed with some chicken. Manila’s sweet frosting face and floppy ears that give the impression of blowing in the wind, combined with her huge doggy grin, indicate that this lovable lady is the life of the party. She has all of the energy of a new school year, with none of the homework! If you’re looking for a puggy princess to take you back to school, Manila is ready and waiting!
