Story
Rosie Posey has been a wonderful, devoted mom to her six puppies, and now she’s ready to find a forever home of her own. She’s fun, playful, and full of charm, with a personality that will keep you smiling every day. Rosie will thrive in a patient, loving home that can continue working on her training. She's nearly mastered potty training, but sometimes likes to pee on soft things indoors, and is still working on her leash training. She's manageable but does pull and will greet people by jumping on them, just because she's so enthusiastic and friendly with everyone! Rosie's foster reports he’s playful and gentle with kids and other dogs. She's loving and social and will greet you with a hug in the morning. She loves to follow her people everywhere, and will definitely sit in your lap whenever possible. If you're looking for a friendly, playful and loyal companion, Rosie is your girl! Apply today to meet her.

Story
Meet Nellie! She is a playful, sweet-natured pup, who loves having her belly rubbed! She has enough energy for a long walk, but is also quite happy to chill at home with her people. She has been doing well learning her basic commands with the help of her wonderful foster family. She's also made great progress with potty training. If she's on a regular schedule, she chooses to pee outside only, but she hasn't learnt to signal she needs to go out yet, so may have a couple of accidents if she doesn't have regular outside access. Nellie can be a little shy when meeting other dogs and people, but soon warms up, and she gets on fine with children (she currently lives with respectful human foster siblings and they get on great). She can get alarmed by new experiences and loud noises but is learning to cope with them. She is learning to chase and fetch a ball, and her current favorite toys are sheep and bunny! She also loves squeaky toys and, despite not being particularly food motivated, she loves carrot. If this sweet, affectionate girl seems like a great fit for your family, apply today to meet her!

Story
Meet Seraphine sweet little Pug-Chihuahua mix! This adorable one-year-old girl has a gentle heart and a loving personality. While she can be a bit shy when meeting new people, she warms up with patience and kindness and quickly becomes a loyal companion. She is friendly, affectionate, and enjoys spending time with her favorite humans. Her playful side comes out once she feels comfortable, and she loves quiet cuddle sessions just as much as exploring her surroundings. With her charming mix of Pug and Chihuahua traits, she brings plenty of personality packed into a small package. This lovely young dog would thrive in a home that can give her the time and reassurance she needs to build confidence. If you're looking for a sweet, devoted companion who will reward your patience with endless love, she may be the perfect match for you.

Story
We love Grin's crooked smile  and his super-soft fur. Grin is about 8 years old and currently a bit over 16 pounds. He loves people and is super affectionate with his person; he loves to cuddle and would like a home where he is allowed on the bed. That said, he is not needy and he is crate trained and will sleep quietly all night in his crate. Grin needs an adult home. &#226&#128&#139Grin seems like a cross between a Puggle (Pug/Beagle) and   another breed. He has some of the looks of a Puggle, but not all. Grin lives with 3 other dogs and is great with them. He plays well with his foster sisters and respects the senior dog in the house. He would do fine with other dogs, or as an only dog. He is house trained and knows how to use a dog door. He does need a home with a private yard or patio. Grin doesn't pull on leash and is great on neighborhood walks where other dogs are also on leash. He will bark at off-leash dogs that run towards him, his foster is working on this and he is doing very well, but he does not do well in off-leash dog parks. He is fine meeting new dogs in his home or their home, and has made friends with some dogs he has met on walks (the key is when their people give him treats). If you are looking for love,  Grin may be the guy you are looking for.    Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation for each adoption. The suggested donation for Grin is $200. If you are interested in adopting Grin, please complete our online adoption application at https://www.gratefuldogsrescue.org/adoption-process/ . One of our volunteers will get back to you. Adoptions are local, confined to the SF Bay Area. See our other available dogs at  https://www.gratefuldogsrescue.org/available-dogs/ March 7, 2026, 12:47 pm
