Ellie started out with us as a young pup. She was adopted out, only to be dumped at the shelter at another state. From what we have gathered from the shelter accompanied with our own experience with her, it's because she needs a home without other dogs. She is 35 lbs and otherwise friendly with all humans and hopes you accept her terms and conditions because she is sooooo worth it! Summer was born approximately on July 7th 2021. She was found as a stray with open wounds on her legs and feet. Her owners were never found. She spent some time healing at a foster home and she did great. Friendly with people and children. Loved spending time with the family and snuggling and playing with them. She has been at the facility for some time now all healed and working on manners. She is improving her leash training and learning not to jump. She knows sit and understands the command NO. I love doing zoomies in the yard and spending time outdoors. She has made some friends at the facility. Slow introductions would be recommended. Sweet Chewie was adopted as a puppy. As time passed, he started showing some guarding signs that made his owners nervous and they returned him. After a few days of being nervous at the facility he has warmed up and is doing amazing. He is four years old but he is an energetic guy and seems younger. Chewie is house trained, and we are working with leash walking and playing fetch. He has not shown guarding with any of the staff. We are still testing different situations to make sure we adopt him to the best family. We would recommend older kids. He has been very friendly with dogs and new people he's met but would need to be fed separately from other dogs. Please read the bio & email the address listed in the bio.   Additionally for CATS you  may email  JShelton@eulesstx.gov and for DOGS, email trinitygapclub@gmail.com       Meet our newest Luke.  This Rhodesian Ridgeback/Blackmouth Cur mix is a big boy who found himself at the shelter when his owner passed away.   There was no family to step up for Luke, so he is stuck at the pound.  This is so sad and unfair for a dog who does not understand why he is now homeless or where his beloved owner has gone. Luke loves people and always has a big smile on his face.   He has shown no aggression to other dogs and appears to be very genial to others. Luke walks well on a leash and we think he is potty trained. Luke is a good looking dog, but at 95 pounds, could use to lose about 10 pounds.   He would be a great dog for someone wants a dog who is already trained to be a great companion.   He is neutered and up to date on shots. **Located in Fort Worth, Texas** Sonny is beautiful and smart, trusting and has proven to be loyal and fun to be around. He's kind to his pack mates large and small, and is especially careful around the smallest dogs. He doesn't bother the house cats, either. Sonny's active and loves to run outside with the other big dogs, but settles down quickly inside. He also loves to go for runs and walks with you, or just sit next to you on the couch. He is bright and alert, and loves to eat, and has a permanent smile on his face, too! Sonny arrived 15 lbs lighter, but he's now a healthy muscular 50 lbs, hw negative, fully vetted, neutered and ready to live his best life with his forever hüman. ❤️ Sonny does well with his foster pack but would do best with one or 2 other dogs, or another dog and a cat, so he doesn't get lost in the crowd. He learns quickly and his new trick is eating a spoonful of dog food off of a spoon and sits patiently waiting his turn. Sonny knows "sit" and "off", and is working on learning the other basic commands. Open your heart and home to Sonny and it will be blue skies every day for you and your new best friend!
