Story
Vader is between 1 to 2 years old and was found stray in Philly. He waited patiently for his owner but no one showed up. While waiting at the shelter, volunteers and vet staff commented that he was a very sweet dog. After his stray hold, off he came to Kodi's Club! Vader enjoys his humans and is overall a cooperative boy. Vader does not automatically bond with his human. There is a hint of a very strict prior life that looks like a weary affect when approached. Patience, space, and an environment that promotes a sense of security and safety are the tools to bring out the real Vader. Vader hasn't had much Obedience work so needs some leash work, as he will pull toward tempting scents of interest and has the strength to pull his handler. On leash walks, he has pretty much not shown interest in other dogs. Free to play in a group at the shelter, he also didn't present as interested in other dogs, but more so in scents in the yard. Vader will require a physically fenced yard. Learning not to jump up as part of his repertoire with new people is on his To Do list. Vader takes treats gently and is very appreciative! Because he's a young boy and needs to be taught to control his excitement, he will require an experienced owner who is also willing to schedule training sessions to fine tune his manners. No children under 12. Cats unknown. Interested in being considered? Head over to our website at www.kodisclub.org/applications and submit our application! PA Dog License #18512 Souderton, PA

Story
We just were contacted by a previous adopter so we will share their words. "My husband and I adopted our beloved Fiona in January 2022 from Kodi’s Club. She has been such a joy and light in our life since we brought her home. She has been a wonderful dog, sweet, enjoys lots of cuddles and long walks daily. However, our world has changed as we just brought home our first baby from the hospital this past weekend. Fiona started demonstrating concerning behavior around him. We have also noticed that she doesn’t prefer children in general, especially when they play. We fear that our child’s safety is at risk, and we don’t want to compromise Fiona’s lifestyle either at this point. We are struggling with the impossible decision to surrender her. We wanted to see if Kodi’s Club would take her back to find her a home with no children that can provide all the love she deserves. She went to day care boarding whenever we were on vacation and always did well with the large dog group. She used a crate when we first got her, but we have not used it in some time now. She is truly just a big, goofy dog. She enjoys her daily walks, loves sitting on us and getting lots of pets. She can be mouthy with unfamiliar people at first. Fiona is very treat motivated" Fiona is now waiting for a new home. We are hoping she doesn't have to wait too long! If you'd like to be considered for her, please go to our website and submit our Kodi's Club adoption application. PA License # 18512 Souderton, PA

Story
This is Bear who was found stray, playing in the streets of Philly, with a black and white dog, for the THIRD time 🙄. They were reclaimed the first 2 times, but not this time. Bear is neutered, friendly, and very very sweet. He solicits pets by nudging your hand and thoroughly enjoys the attention. He always takes treats gently. While somewhat shy at first with strangers, once he's been introduced to new humans, he's a trusting boy, which is nice to find in a rescued dog. His owners must have shown him lots of love despite not coming to the shelter for him. A few treats work wonders in his warm up. Food is definitely one of his motivators but he also equally enjoys attention. His noggin is pure eye candy! Bear pulls somewhat on leash but the pulling is initially out of excitement. He does slow down, but a little training along with steady exercise will address that. He's a big sniffer on walks! He enjoys the company of other dogs, but has not been tested with cats. Children over 10 would be best due to his size and energy. If you'd like be considered for Bear, our application is on www.kodisclub.org/applications!

Story
Two year old Kaya was found as a stray in Philadelphia and taken to the shelter. Volunteers described her as the sweetest, cooperative, quiet girl who minded her own business. Several people thought they might know her owner, but no one came for her. As a result, Kodi's Club was contacted and she came to us. Kaya is fostered in a multi-dog home and has shown herself to be house trained, crate trained, and a quiet guest. She loves meal times and then rests. She enjoys outside time with the others, but loves coming back inside just as much. She's not into toys very much, but does frequently chew on a 'gently-used' marrow bone. Noises outside pique Kaya's interest and result in a couple of minutes of barking but in a reserved way lol. She's just a really nice girl. We do not know how she is with cats. We also have not observed her with children, but older children should be fine with her as long as they are comfortable with large dogs and use doggy etiquette. Kaya would love her own loving family in a relat1vely quiet environment. She is not reactive to noise or movements, but we think she'd be happiest in a home with a more calm level of activity. If you believe you meet Kaya's criteria for adoption, and would like to be considered, just submit the application on our website www.kodisclub.org/applications PA License# 18512 Souderton, PA

Story
Dixie Cup is a young Rottweiler with an extraordinary temperament and a remarkable will to live. After a difficult start, she has fully recovered and is now healthy, pain-free, and ready for her forever home. At just 14 months old, Dixie Cup was struck by a vehicle, suffering a fractured spine and a broken shoulder. Her former owners elected euthanasia, but the attending veterinarian believed she deserved a second chance. When local rescues could not take her, Kodi’s Club stepped in. We pursued every possible treatment to save her leg, including three major surgeries. Ultimately, amputation was the path that gave her the best, most comfortable future. Today, now 20 months old, Dixie Cup has adapted beautifully to three-legged life. She is active, mobile, happy, and unencumbered. A true survivor with an unbreakable spirit, she has come through her recovery stronger than ever. Who is Dixie Cup? • Loyal, deeply bonded with her people • Exceptionally smart, responsive, and easy to train • Energetic, playful, and always ready for fun • Affectionate and people-oriented—she loves companionship • Dog-selective Males work as long as slow intro; Females require even longer • Bright, engaging, and full of joy What She Needs in a Home • A physically fenced yard over 4.5 feet tall • A home with male resident or future dogs (to avoid same-gender pack conflicts) or no other dogs • Children age 10+ • Cats: unknown Dixie Cup will thrive with a family that can provide structure, continued training, and regular activity that matches her cheerful energy. She is ideal for someone looking for a smart, enthusiastic partner who will be deeply devoted to her people. Dixie Cup is a happy, healthy, wonderfully good-natured young Rottweiler who has overcome tremendous hardship with grace. She’s the kind of dog who looks at you like you are her whole world—because to her, you are. If you’re seeking a loyal companion who embodies resilience, joy, courage, and love, this beautiful girl is ready to meet you. If you believe you meet Dixie Cup's criteria for adoption and would like to be considered, please submit our application located on this site. PA License# 18512 Souderton, PA
