Meet Tiny — who is, in fact, not tiny at all. This big, lovable boy seems to have missed the memo about his size and is fully convinced he’s a lap dog. His favorite move? The full-body lean. Tiny will gently press his himself against you to politely request pets, affection, and more pets. It’s his signature hug, and honestly, it’s hard to say no. Tiny is a sweet, people-loving guy who thrives on attention and connection. He enjoys being near his humans and will happily soak up all the love you’re willing to give. If you stop petting him, don’t worry — he’ll kindly remind you by leaning in a little closer. He’s had a positive dog meet here at the shelter and showed us he can be a friendly social butterfly with other pups. Meet Dog Vader: Dog Vader is estimated to be about 2 years old (as of February 2026) and what looks like a miniature Rottweiler - potentially rottie / kelpie mix (best guess) that weighs 15 pounds. Dog Vader was a frequent visitor at a park in suburban Memphis and it took a team of park goers and Animal Control Officers to catch him and then he was taken into a dog shelter. Dog Vader is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Dog Vader is very affectionate and loves to be near someone. At the dog shelter, Dog Vader was an unwilling resident in some respects. Dog Vader had a tendency to not want to come back inside from the exercise yard once released for a potty break, but if he had a lap available to climb into, he was happy to come in and snuggle up. Dog Vader gets along well with other dogs and is a great companion. Dog Vader is currently house trained to a doggie door and may need some patience while adjusting to a new method. We would love for Dog Vader to have a home with a fenced in yard so he can play freely. Dog Vader is up to date on his shots and neutered. With an approaching winter storm, Good Samaritans stepped up and were able to get her to safety. Now that Lexi is safe and warm in a loving foster home, we have been able to see her true personality shine! This gorgeous girl turns heads wherever she goes. Her personality is just as sweet as she is pretty. Lexi is an active girl that happily entertains herself with toys, but also enjoys playing with her doggy pals. It’s such a joy watching her gallop around, tossing a toy in the air without a care in the world! While she has energy, she is also an expert snuggler and knows how to settle. Training is going well – she is a smart girl who is eager to please. Prior to her rescue, she couldn’t trust anyone to take care of her, so he can be a little shy meeting new people. Meet Rocket. Rocket came to us with over 100 animals from a cruelty case over 3 years ago. After 1,045 days, we FINALLY gained ownership of them in December of 2024! Merry Christmas to us!! After so long of only having our staff every day, they’re extremely timid. They can be nervous & scared when meeting new people, so a few meetings are required. She has so much love to give, she’s just scared of new things. She has a lot of confidence-building that she needs to work on, and she needs someone who’s willing to work with her and has that patience. We know that there is a special someone out there who has the compassion and understanding of the life she’s lived before coming to us.
