Story
Sif or Siffy as we’ve been calling her at the house is an absolute adorable friendly cat who is now getting ready for life after growing out of being a kitten. She is super affectionate, loving, gentle, and easy to get along with. She will walk up to people (Siffy prefers women over men) and ask for pets and butt scratches as well as chin rubs. She is very vocal about wanting play or pets and when she’s happy her purr is extremely loud. She is uneasy about getting picked up, but she will always find a comfort spot for herself that makes her feel enclosed and safe. Sif needs home that can shower her with love and affection, she will show love 10 times more in return. She loves fish based food, dry or wet and is okay with food sitting out to eat later. Will come with Litterbox, litter, bowls, some of her food, toys and a scratching post.

Story
Mimosa (Mimi) is a cute little gal with some mischief in her. She tends to hide when people are over and loves to hide in silly places. She only wants affection on her terms but can be cuddly occasionally! She will probably do best in a home with out dogs or kids. She’s okay with cats since she tends to just want to be on her own!

Story
We adopted Kitty from Facebook marketplace around six years ago. She came from a family that had lots of dogs. When we adopted her, she was sick and had stones so we had surgery done to remove them. Because of that issue, Kitty is on a special prescription food. It just helps her to prevent getting stones again. Kitty is very loyal to her family and loves to be in the same room as you at all times. She is very good with kids however she is not the cuddly type. She loves to play with all of her toys, her light laser and chase things around the house. She doesn’t however, like to sit on your lap she’s a private territorial is her personality so she would be best in a home without other animals. The ideal adopter for Kitty would be an older adult or perhaps a child that has patience and would not demand too much attention. She is litter box trained, however, needs a higher sided box. Kitty is very healthy and is approximately eight years old. My daughter moved so need to rehome her.

Story
Colby is a super sociable, friendly 6 year old big orange tabby cat. He loves cuddles, toys, and belly scratches, as well as lounging in the window sill. He's fully house trained and also LOVES shoes for some reason. My wife has been his only owner, but sadly he does not get along with our other cat. We think that she never welcomed him fully and therefore he takes medication for anxiety. He has had urine crystals in the past, for which the vet prescribed urinary care food. We have also added a baby to the home which has caused additional anxiety. Colby would do best in a home with few other pets, he is a bundle of joy and active young cat. Colby has not spent much time with dogs but is good with older kids or kids that he has a chance to get used to. A welcoming cat may also be a good fit for Colby as he is extremely social.

Story
About Me Hi, I’m Lima! I’m a beautiful brown tabby with a gentle soul and a quiet personality. When I first arrived, the world felt a little overwhelming, so I preferred to watch from the safety of a cozy hiding spot. But every day, I grow a little braver. Now you’ll often find me stretched out in a sunny window, lounging on a cat tower, or making a beeline for dinner when the wet food comes out—it's definitely one of my favorite times of day! I’m an easygoing girl who gets along well with both people and other cats. I’m never one to stir up trouble, and because I’m not the type to demand attention, I sometimes get overlooked by visitors. But I hope someone sees what the volunteers do—a sweet, loving cat who simply needs a little time to shine. If you're looking for a calm companion who will quietly become a cherished part of your family, I think we'd make a wonderful match. ---------- WHERE IS THIS PET LOCATED? The Rescue Crew is a foster-based rescue, which means most of our animals are cared for in homes throughout Minnesota. Story
Pea | 8-year-old torbie | she/her | reformed grouch My foster mom was trying to work on my bio, but she was struggling to find just the right words to describe me. I told her to step aside — who better to tell you about me than yours truly. My name is Pea. My foster mom calls me Miss Pea, and I like it — I'll thank you to use it. I am an eight-year-old torbie, a lady of distinct taste, and until recently, as dramatic as a Bravo TV housewife. Here are the facts: I was surrendered to a shelter because I despised other cats. I'm not hiding it — it was a known fact about me. I sat in the shelter, miserable; my time was running out. I was exactly twenty-four hours from meeting my maker when (cue music) The Rescue Crew sprang me from the clutches of Hades. You might call it good timing. I call it my second act. Turns out, my legendary attitude had a perfectly good explanation. I was carrying some luxury weight, which put a strain on my bad knees and sore back. When every step hurts, you don't purr. You swat. I'm not making excuses. I'm providing context. There's a difference. Two months ago, I landed with a foster lady, and somewhere between the vet visit and the new food, I am getting back on track. I'm on a prescription diet that's actually working — I haven't been on the scale lately (a lady doesn't discuss numbers), but I feel lighter - and happier. I take a medication called Gabapentin to manage my knee pain until I drop 3–4 lbs. And I exercise — feather cardio (I swat a feather at the end of a plastic stick) and slow, deliberate laps from room to room. Yes, it counts. Do not minimize my effort. I feel better than I have in years. I'm still opinionated, mind you. But I'm a gentler kind of opinionated — a work in progress, if you will. My days now look like this: I have a safe room all to myself, I get to roam the house when my foster mom's cats are "spending the day" in the basement, I do my cardio, I nap, and I accept affection entirely on my own terms. I have actually tolerated encounters with one of the resident cats. It's a good life. I've earned it. I'm looking for a forever home who understands I’m getting better with age. I don't need other cats. I don't need chaos. I need consistency, a good food bowl, and someone who won't take it personally when I just need a minute. In return, I will be somewhat snuggly, quite talkative, and 100% hilarious. I was almost a cautionary tale — now I'm ready to be your most endearing, sometimes dramatic, companion. That's the deal. I promise I'm worth it. Pea is also part of our Respect Our Elders, seniors for seniors adoption program.  WHERE IS THIS PET LOCATED? The Rescue Crew is a foster-based rescue, which means most of our animals are cared for in homes throughout Minnesota.
