Story
Sif or Siffy as we’ve been calling her at the house is an absolute adorable friendly cat who is now getting ready for life after growing out of being a kitten. She is super affectionate, loving, gentle, and easy to get along with. She will walk up to people (Siffy prefers women over men) and ask for pets and butt scratches as well as chin rubs. She is very vocal about wanting play or pets and when she’s happy her purr is extremely loud. She is uneasy about getting picked up, but she will always find a comfort spot for herself that makes her feel enclosed and safe. Sif needs home that can shower her with love and affection, she will show love 10 times more in return. She loves fish based food, dry or wet and is okay with food sitting out to eat later. Will come with Litterbox, litter, bowls, some of her food, toys and a scratching post.

Story
Mimosa (Mimi) is a cute little gal with some mischief in her. She tends to hide when people are over and loves to hide in silly places. She only wants affection on her terms but can be cuddly occasionally! She will probably do best in a home with out dogs or kids. She’s okay with cats since she tends to just want to be on her own!

Story
Meet our sweet 5-year-old Taco who is looking for a loving new home. He is playful, curious, social, and full of personality. Although he has always been an indoor cat, he is fascinated by the outdoors and loves watching everything happening around him. He especially enjoys having other cats around and gets along very well with his cat cousins when they come to visit. Having another friendly cat to play with could be a wonderful fit for him. He is also very people-friendly. Rather than disappearing when company arrives, he often welcomes visitors and seeks them out for attention. He loves being part of what is going on in the home and has a wonderfully curious nature. Recently, he developed urinary crystals, which can occur as part of feline lower urinary tract disease (FLUTD). His veterinarian transitioned him to a prescription urinary-health diet, and he has been recovering well. His new family will need to continue his recommended urinary diet and routine veterinary care to hel

Story
We adopted Kitty from Facebook marketplace around six years ago. She came from a family that had lots of dogs. When we adopted her, she was sick and had stones so we had surgery done to remove them. Because of that issue, Kitty is on a special prescription food. It just helps her to prevent getting stones again. Kitty is very loyal to her family and loves to be in the same room as you at all times. She is very good with kids however she is not the cuddly type. She loves to play with all of her toys, her light laser and chase things around the house. She doesn’t however, like to sit on your lap she’s a private territorial is her personality so she would be best in a home without other animals. The ideal adopter for Kitty would be an older adult or perhaps a child that has patience and would not demand too much attention. She is litter box trained, however, needs a higher sided box. Kitty is very healthy and is approximately eight years old. My daughter moved so need to rehome her.

These cats are in Ham Lake, Minnesota too!

Story
Pea | 8-year-old torbie | she/her | reformed grouch My foster mom was trying to work on my bio, but she was struggling to find just the right words to describe me. I told her to step aside — who better to tell you about me than yours truly. My name is Pea. My foster mom calls me Miss Pea, and I like it — I'll thank you to use it. I am an eight-year-old torbie, a lady of distinct taste, and until recently, as dramatic as a Bravo TV housewife. Here are the facts: I was surrendered to a shelter because I despised other cats. I'm not hiding it — it was a known fact about me. I sat in the shelter, miserable; my time was running out. I was exactly twenty-four hours from meeting my maker when (cue music) The Rescue Crew sprang me from the clutches of Hades. You might call it good timing. I call it my second act. Turns out, my legendary attitude had a perfectly good explanation. I was carrying some luxury weight, which put a strain on my bad knees and sore back. When every step hurts, you don't purr. You swat. I'm not making excuses. I'm providing context. There's a difference. Two months ago, I landed with a foster lady, and somewhere between the vet visit and the new food, I am getting back on track. I'm on a prescription diet that's actually working — I haven't been on the scale lately (a lady doesn't discuss numbers), but I feel lighter - and happier. I take a medication called Gabapentin to manage my knee pain until I drop 3–4 lbs. And I exercise — feather cardio (I swat a feather at the end of a plastic stick) and slow, deliberate laps from room to room. Yes, it counts. Do not minimize my effort. I feel better than I have in years. I'm still opinionated, mind you. But I'm a gentler kind of opinionated — a work in progress, if you will. My days now look like this: I have a safe room all to myself, I get to roam the house when my foster mom's cats are "spending the day" in the basement, I do my cardio, I nap, and I accept affection entirely on my own terms. I have actually tolerated encounters with one of the resident cats. It's a good life. I've earned it. I'm looking for a forever home who understands I’m getting better with age. I don't need other cats. I don't need chaos. I need consistency, a good food bowl, and someone who won't take it personally when I just need a minute. In return, I will be somewhat snuggly, quite talkative, and 100% hilarious. I was almost a cautionary tale — now I'm ready to be your most endearing, sometimes dramatic, companion. That's the deal. I promise I'm worth it. Pea is also part of our Respect Our Elders, seniors for seniors adoption program.  WHERE IS THIS PET LOCATED? The Rescue Crew is a foster-based rescue, which means most of our animals are cared for in homes throughout Minnesota. Story
About Me Hello! I'm Ellie, a gentle senior lady who’s mastered the art of relaxation! I have a low-key vibe and a love of cozy naps. In fact, I'm happiest curled up in a soft spot or snuggled close for a cuddle—I'm a true professional when it comes to purring and making you feel loved! My favorite moments are mealtimes—I'm a big fan of soft food—and when I'm getting pampered with gentle brushing. I love brushing so much, I'll rub against the brush if the bristles are left up. I adore catnip toys and will happily lounge while you go about your day. But I'll run to the door when I hear you coming! I have limited sight, so I prefer calm environments and slow introductions to new people. I love humans, even though I hide from new ones. I'm sweet and affectionate with them, but I do like my space when it comes to other pets. I’ll let you know with a hiss if another animal gets too close... but I'm never aggressive! I wouldn't say I need to be an only pet... I just like to have a place to retreat. I've never been around dogs, though. Those are foreign to me. I'm also not a huge fan of young kids... too energetic for me. I am not litter box-trained: I don't remember to cover up after myself, so my litter box needs daily cleaning. I do use my scratching post, though. Also note that I'm managing kidney disease, glaucoma, and arthritis, so I’ll need a little extra care and attention to keep comfortable. If you’re looking for a loving, low-energy companion who will fill your home with warmth and gentle purrs, then I'm ready to be your new best friend! I've captured the hearts of everyone at the shelter with my gentle, affectionate nature.  Apply to meet me and see if I'm the perfect fit for your heart and home! ---------- WHERE IS THIS PET LOCATED? The Rescue Crew is a foster-based rescue, which means most of our animals are cared for in homes throughout Minnesota.
