DISCLOSURE: The adoptable pets in our program are still in the care and custody of owners who wish to re-home their pet. Owners have enlisted Rescue Well to provide marketing and screening of applicants as a service, free of charge. All fees and adoption conditions are determined by the owner. We advise that adopters do not send payment or deposits for pets prior to adopting.  ***** Griselda or, Grizzy, is 1yr & 3 months old, weighs 80lbs, is spayed, is up to date on her vaccines, and is not microchipped.  "Grizzy knows how to sit and wait (sort of).  She knows away or down pretty well too." Griselda's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome her:  " I am unable to provide for her schedule wise and financially the way I think she deserves.  We took her in on more of a foster basis from a family member whose dog had a litter and was slow to sell.  We haven't had luck finding her a forever home by word of mouth so tapping into resources now instead." BITE/SCRATCH INCIDENTS:  More than 10 days ago, Grizzy nibbled when she was excited and scratched her guardian; the skin was not broken; animal control was not involved.  Grizzy's guardian further explains " She nibbles when excited and seeking attention but has done well with redirection to her toys. She has scratched at our feet for attention as well." Griselda's guardian offers a brief medical history:  " She has been itching to the point of breaking skin that then scabs over.  We are bathing her 1-2 times a week which helps for a bit.  I did find 2 ticks on her within the first month or so that were taken off with no issues." Griselda's guardian states the following regarding children:  Grizzy has lived with a 4yo child, so her guardian recommends her living with children, stating " she has been fine and is usually just curious about them. The first night she was in our home she did try to nibble at Wyo when he had a towel on so I think hooded things make her nervous." Griselda's guardian states the following regarding dogs:  Grizzy hasn't lived with dogs, so her guardian doesn't recommend her living with dogs, stating " I am unsure how she would do with another dog in the house.  She has grown to be protective of our space but we haven't had another dog come over.  She's been fine with dogs outside of the house." Griselda's guardian states the following regarding cats:  Grizzy hasn't lived with cats, so her guardian doesn't recommend her living with cats, stating " When we visited a home with a cat, she is very interested and curious about the cat - the cat is not friendly so will run away.  Seems like when Grizzy has gotten close enough she's only looking to smell the cat." Griselda's guardian describes her as: Couch potato Playful Friendly Likes to be touched Affectionate Crate-Trained Likes men Likes women Griselda's guardian describes her ideal future home:  " I think the ideal home for Grizzy would be a young family who has a love for bigger dogs. She is playful and energetic but doesn't take much activity to tire her out -- a few laps around the house or outside is all it takes. She loves getting pet and snuggled with and would I'm sure love a home where she could curl up on the couch with her person. A yard is not necessary but someone who can walk her or have her walked twice a day would be appreciated." Rehoming Fee:  None Location:  Baltimore, MD***** ADOPTION PROCESS  1. Story
I'm sadly looking to rehome my dog, Odin. I'm just not able to care for him with my current health, housing, and financial situations. American Bully Born October 2020 Neutered Has a chip to identify owner I adopted him from a friend when they had to move. He will tell someone when he needs to go outside, and really he's such a good smart dog. He just needs more training, socializing, and attention than we've been able to give. He's not really used to other animals. He's overprotective of kids, too. He's just not been able to socialize enough; he doesn't quite understand how to be friendly with new things so he defaults to barking while wagging his tail. Any issues he does have, some training and exercise should fix. His main issue is that he gets so excited that he cannot contain himself. Training could help redirect that energy into more acceptable behaviors, but I'm unable to provide that.

Story
Oreo (f) - she is an American bulldog/ Cane corso mix. She is two years old, spayed, up-to-date on shots, and chiped. She is house trained. She loves to lay on the couch and chew her toys while cuddling. She is very energetic and needs a dominant male to control her; she definitely needs training. She is in a crate at night and during the day when the current caregiver is not home. She really needs a lot of attention and somewhere that she can run. ##320755##

Story
Hi I'm Blaze! I'm a sweet and energetic dog looking for a home. I can be a bit nervous at first meeting new people, but once I warm up to you we become the best of friends. I am a dog that is housebroken and crate trained. I prefer my crate to be covered when I sleep. I'm also a dog who knows some cue's as well. I know sit and Paw. My favorite toys are balls I could play fetch all day. It is recommended that I go home with older kids due too my high energy. I tend to not look where I'm going and will knock kids over. As well as I am pretty strong. I'm looking for a new home is. Is that you?

Story
Meet Gully, a gentle soul with a heart as big as his dreams of finding a forever home. This timid but sweet guy is on a quest for a family who will cherish him for who he is and understand his need for patience and understanding as he navigates the world around him. Gully's journey began when he was found as a stray, wandering the streets alone. Luckily, fate led him to cross paths with a kind soul who saw beyond his initial shyness and recognized the loving spirit within. What Gully longs for most is a family of his own, a place where he can feel safe and loved unconditionally. He thrives in a calm and supportive environment, where he can take his time to adjust and come out of his shell. That's why he would do best in a home with older kids who can understand his need for space and respect his boundaries. While Gully may be a bit cautious around other dogs at first, with slow introductions and patience, he's sure to make furry friends in no time. However, he does have a playful streak and enjoys romping around with his canine pals once he feels comfortable. As for cats, well, let's just say Gully has a bit of a chasing instinct. For this reason, he would do best in a home without any feline companions. Despite his initial reservations, Gully's heart is full of love just waiting to be shared. With the right family by his side, he's ready to embark on the next chapter of his life, filled with wagging tails, cozy cuddles, and endless adventures. Are you ready to open your heart to this sweet and timid pup?

Story
Charlie is a sweet, smart...maybe too smart lol....pure bred American Bulldog. She was born July 11, 2023. We were beyond excited to bring her home at 6 weeks old thinking that our male American Bulldog and our cat would love a new buddy. We then were hit with the heartbreaking news that Biggie at 3 years old had Lymphoma. 😔Biggie passed last weekend. We think it is in Charlies best interest to be rehomed. We are dealing with a loss and feel she needs more than we can give right now. Charlie comes with papers but still needs a rabies shot and definitely needs work on the lease. She has no idea how to walk with one on. We probably have spoiled her a bit much as well by letting her run in parks. She is crate trained and housebroken...very few accidents. Feel free to reach out with any questions.
