Story
Meet Clawdine, a super sweet, compact bundle of love! This absolute love bug is the total package - good in any situation, lower energy, super friendly with all humans and dogs. She is quiet and crate trained. Clawdine was a shelter favorite before she landed with us, giving everyone her hugs and attention. She's a smart gal and seems to know "sit". We also suspect that she is house-trained. Clawdine would be a good candidate for apartment or townhouse living. If you need an adoring, velcro doggie, look no further, Clawdine is ready to shower you with attention (and the good kind, we do not see any separation anxiety here, just adoration for all humans!) Hatton Animal Rescue spends significantly more on each dog than the adoption fee covers; please consider making a tax-deductible donation by visiting us at https://www.hattonanimalrescue.org/sponsor. Donations help us offset vetting, boarding costs, and additional medical treatments for dogs who need it. For more information on Hatton Animal Rescue, visit our website at: hattonanimalrescue.org.

DISCLOSURE: The adoptable pets in our program are still in the care and custody of owners who wish to re-home their pet. Owners have enlisted Rescue Well to provide marketing and screening of applicants as a service, free of charge. All fees and adoption conditions are determined by the owner. We advise that adopters do not send payment or deposits for pets prior to adopting.  ***** Lady is 4yo, weighs 55lbs, is spayed, is up to date on her vaccines, and is microchipped.  Lady dislikes her feet being touched or her toe nails being cut.  Lady stays on the main level of the home during the day and sleeps in her crate or in the bed at night.  She loves car rides.  Her guardian adds:   "Lady May is a delightful 4-year-old pup with a heart of gold!!  Lady May's zest for life shines brightest during hikes and sunny days, where she loves to explore the great outdoors.  Yet, don't be fooled by her adverturous spirit; indoors, she transforms into the ultimate couch companion, relishing in snuggles and cozy naps under the covers.  Lady May is not only a sunbather but also a master of relaxation, making her the perfect balance between active and laid-back.  Plus, with her stellar potty and crate training, she's a breeze to care for. The issue [incompatibility with canine housemate] began almost a year ago, and since then, I have taken several steps to resolve it.  In regards to aggression towards my other dog, it was always random.  Lady would just corner Oakley and grab onto his extra skin.  Initially, I took Lady to the vet, who referred me to a trainer.  When this did not help, I sought the advice of a dog behavior specialist, again upon the recommendation of my vet.  Despite these efforts, the situation has not improved.  My vet mentioned that some dogs reach their full maturity at age 4 and may experience personality changes, including becoming dog-aggressive.  To help Lady during this stressful time, the vet recommended Lady be put on anxiety medication.  NOTE:  I have a report from my behavior specialist I will provide upon request to prospective adopter(s)." Lady's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome her:  "Ongoing issues with her no longer getting along with her housemate, my other dog." Lunge/Attack/Bite Incident:  More than 10 days ago in Sykesville, MD Lady bit her canine housemate; the bite didn't break the skin; animal control was not involved. Lady's guardian offers a brief a medical history:  "Lady is currently on anxiety medication." Lady's guardian states the following regarding children:  Since Lady lives with children (ages 7, 10, and 16), her guardian recommends her living with children, stating "She is very laid back around children". Lady's guardian states the following regarding dogs:  Although Lady lives with a dog, her guardian doesn't recommend her living with dogs, stating "She will bark at other dogs.  While on walks, if she sees another dog, she will try to get near the dog and get on her hind legs". Lady's guardian states the following regarding cats:  Since Lady hasn't lived with cats, her guardian doesn't recommend her living with cats, stating "She will bark at cats". Lady's guardian describes her as: Very active Couch potato Playful Friendly Likes to be touched Affectionate Always at your side Indoor Only Pet House-Trained Crate-Trained Likes men Likes women Lady's guardian describes her ideal future home: "Lady's ideal home would have a fenced in backyard, and no other pets in the home.  I would like her to go to an active family that would be able to take her on walks and or hikes." We advise that adopters do not send payment or deposits for pets prior to adopting.  ***** Hattie is 1yo, weighs 30lbs, is spayed, is up to date on her vaccines, but is not microchipped.  Hattie doesn't like sudden loud noises; she's okay during car rides, but lies on the floor.  She is in her crate at home when guardian is not at home; she sleeps in the guardian's bed at night. Hattie's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome her:  Hattie's guardian took her because she was with a family member whose suddenly is experiencing severe health problems. Bite Incident:  In March 2024, Hattie bit her canine sibling because she tried to take Hattie's bone away from her.  The bite didn't break the skin, animal control was not involved, and medical treatment was unwarranted. Story
I’m called Lil’ Dude, but my foster mom likes to call me Iggy, short for Igor. I guess it’s because of my adorable smile. What makes me smile? Cuddling! I love snuggling with my foster mom. She calls me a big giant baby. Ooo, and cheese. Cheese always makes me smile! I’m learning a lot from my foster big sister - I can now sit, come, go bedtime, and sometimes even stay! I’m even 95% potty trained - I can stay home for 5 - 6 hrs without having an accident, but if I can’t hold it, I know how to use a pee pad. My foster uncle says I’ve come a long way and would be the perfect dog for someone who can keep helping me with my manners. Oh, and if they have a fenced-in yard where I can jump and smell?! That would be doggie heaven! I might be open to a new friend, if you have someone you`d like me to meet. I can`t promise we will be best buddies but I would be open to meeting a friend and we can go from there. Check out a video of Lil Dude here: https://youtu.be/zJKJxe1YA0sInterested in adopting me? I am in a foster home so things need to be done a little differently. We recommend submitting a general online adoption application and then calling the shelter to let them know you are interested in meeting me!. Please note: all applications are considered general until the animal has been met. If you have any questions, please contact animalcenter@bmorehumane.org or 410-833-8848 Ext/Opt 2.

Story
Kayla is a super sweet, super smart, 2 year old girl who found herself in need of a new home and family when her person had to move and could not take her. She is gentle and wants nothing more than a family or person to love. Kayla is house broken, leash trained, and follows basic commands. With a slow, proper introduction, she is good with other dogs and cats. As with most breeed of dogs other than toy or very small breeds, Kayla would benefit from a home with a fenced yard where she could get some exercise and play time. She also loves long walks and hiking. If you would like to be Kayla's new family or person. Please reply to her post or by text message to 410-796-7327 ##2396886##
