Story
Penelope is a sweet soul who shouldn’t be spending her young years in a kennel. She’s currently living in boarding and it’s breaking our hearts. What she needs—and deserves—is a home filled with love, patience, and play. Penelope is one of those dogs who stays with you. She’s loving, loyal, full of goofy energy and just waiting for her person to come along. Right now, she’s in boarding. It’s not where she belongs. She deserves to be curled up on a couch, not behind a gate. Penelope is great with other dogs, especially playful ones. If you have a friendly pup at home who needs a buddy, she could be the perfect fit. With people, she’s shy at first. She needs a little time to feel safe—but once she does? She’s all in. Affectionate, cuddly, and so happy to get your attention. She’ll wiggle her whole body just to say hi, then crash hard when her zoomies are done. It’s honestly the cutest thing. She would do best in a home with older kids who understand that she needs a little space to warm up. And unfortunately, she’s not a match for homes with cats—she just can’t help that prey drive. If you’ve been thinking about fostering or adopting, please consider Penelope. She’s got so much love to give and nowhere to put it right now. She just needs someone to take a chance on her. She doesn’t deserve to spend her youth in a kennel. She deserves a home. Please familiarize yourself with our Adoption Process: https://angelsfurryfriends.org/adoption-process/ If interested to schedule an Appointment to meet, please fill out Adoption application: https://angelsfurryfriends.org/adoption-application-dogs/ We are a small, all Volunteer Foster Based Rescue Group, we do not have a Shelter Location. Story
We adopted Arrow after he was in the local shelter for a year. He is a wonderful, loving 4.5-5 year old pit mix. We have had him for a year and half now and would love to keep him, but need to rehome him for 2 main reasons. 1. We can't give him the attention and activity he needs anymore. He is mostly a couch potato, but when he decides he wants attention or activity, he can get impatient. He likes walks (but is very dog reactive). By far his favorite thing is to go to a field and chase a ball. The problem we have is that Arrow is now competing for time with all the activities that a 6-year kid has on their schedule. That leads to number 2. 2. Arrow has not chilled out around kids (fine with adults) after 18 months. Which is a problem when he is bigger (70 lbs) than most of them. Anytime my son starts dancing or squeaking (as kids do), Arrow gets excited and starts running around the house. This makes us have to split parenting so one is with our son and one with Arrow.
