Story
Hero that will steal your heart faster than you can say “fetch”! Hero, the sweet Pittie, is 70 pounds of pure love wrapped in a fur coat. This gentle giant has a PhD in lap-sitting and will convince you that he’s actually a lapdog. Don’t let his size fool you - he’s as peppy and playful as his smaller friends. Here's some notes from Hero's foster: Hero is one of the sweetest, most loving dogs I've fostered. The adjectives I'd use to describe him are affectionate, happy, and friend-to-all. Hero seems to have never met an enemy. Hero came to Muttville after being surrendered by his guardian (and saved by the SFFD when their home burnt down!) Due to his condition and temperament, I believe he was a beloved family pet. Hero loves all people and dogs, big and small. He handles himself like an absolute gentleman. He wants nothing more than to cuddle with you, get pets, and give kisses. He will be your #1 fan, president of your fan club, and talk about how much he loves you to anyone who will listen. He's a handsome boy who is loyal and dedicated to his people (and frankly, anyone who may say hello!) Hero is what they call a stage-five clinger. He LOVES to snuggle against his people. The more cuddling, the better! Hero's mobility is excellent for his age. He jumps on the bed and couch without assistance. He can do stairs but would probably rather not have to do more than 3-4 regularly. Hero would do best in a home with access to a backyard or area, as he likes to take frequent potty breaks. He knows basic commands like sit and shake. We are working on "stay". Hero loves his meals—eating morning and night happily. He has shown no signs of guarding his meals, toys, or people. He's such a lovey! He walks well on a leash and enjoys daily walks for all the smells and possible encounters with new friends. He takes it slow, not because he can't trot along, just because he pauses at noises for a chance encounter with another dog or person. He also loves to linger and smell the air around him. Hero likes other dogs and had another small dog in the home with him before his time at Muttville. He's encountered some wiggly, no-boundaries puppies and loves them instantly! He doesn't care for snappy dogs (who does?) Hero has been around kids who took turns walking him around the park. He's a gentle giant who just wants love and attention. He would be a great kid dog! Hero had some anxiety riding in my car for the first few times, but he gets better with each ride. This weekend, he fell asleep during our drive. He'll be great in the car with a few more trips. He just loves the action! Hero will thrive in a variety of homes with one or more people who want to bring in a 70-lb fan club on four paws. He is low-key and friendly, a true character of a dog!

Story
Energetic, loving, and goofy 9-year-old Ella is super sweet but needs a family with an experienced dog owner. A little under 2ft tall and 40 lbs, she's sleek and muscular. Ella is fully house-trained and very patient with the three cats she lives with. She's never lived with kids but is generally chill with the children in the neighborhood.
She loves her toys, playing fetch, tug of war games, following you around the house, and of course, napping. Ella wants to be involved in whatever you're doing and is alert to someone coming to the door. She is highly food motivated, Ella picks up new tricks quickly but can be stubborn and easily distracted, so she needs lots of consistent positive reinforcement to maintain behavioral changes. She has many opinions and she will let you know about them.
Ella also plays well with other dogs, although sometimes she has issues with dogs larger than she is, but is good at de-escalating potential conflicts. Ella really loves company so if her new people are gone for a full work day she will need a canine companion. She's leash trained and always excited to jump in the car to visit the park. Ella is a great dog looking for a home where she is loved and cherished. Would you be the one for her?" Ella is now being fostered in Oakland, CA and her adoption fee is $275.00 Arrangements to meet our dogs occur after an application has been received. Please contact us at dogzonerescue@yahoo.com for more information about this great gal or for an application to adopt.

Story
Cleo's owner threatened to starve her and her puppies to death when he left them at a high kill shelter. She is currently in foster care and doing wonderfully. Good with other dogs - with proper introduction and kids. We suggest a family with older dog-respective children although she has been around toddlers. runs as fast as a bullet. She loves tossing her stuffies 🧸 in the air. She also loves to just chill on the couch 🛋️ and be with her people. Cleo deserves a home where she can be her silly 🙃 self. She needs a home with a family that will include her in what they do. She’s fabulous in the car 🚗 and would love to go on camping 🏕️ trips, trips to the park or beach. Please get in touch with Reunion Rescue and learn about our holistic program and nutrition. Ask about our foster to adopt process.

Story
Meet Lola the English bulldog!! This cute little lady came to us from an overcrowded shelter - she's finally ready to find her forever home! Lola is around three years old and 32 pounds. She's true to the breed, very lazy, snuggly, never barks, wants to be near her people, and loves to eat food! If you love this breed, this girl will win you over! She's good with other dogs and crate trained too! Lola does have a tendency to want to eat things that are not edible and needs an owner who understands that and keeps non edible items away from her or has her supervised and then crated when unattended. If you are interested in meeting please fill out an application at our website: www.gobeyondrescue.org/adopt Our adoption fee is $450 and includes spay/neuter, microchipping and up to date vaccines.
