Story
Hello everyone, my name is Rocky! I'm a 4 and a half year old, 53 lbs., neutered male Pitbull mix. I'm a happy, energetic boy who enjoys running zoomies in the yard. I'm the best of both worlds and know how to chill and hang out with my favorite person while we watch the world go by. I am working on my manners and will need my new family's help to become a perfect pup. I would do best with kids 6+ and would love to meet the whole family and of course any resident dog before going home. I recently went on a hike with my favorite volunteer. This is what they had to say about our day together:  'I took Rocky on the hike today.  He had a great time in the yard and loves fetching. He was great in the car. He really enjoyed himself on the hike. No issues with dogs. He did pull quite a bit. He was so happy to be out and about! He thanked me with lots of kisses and drool all over my car :-)' Rocky ID#A875866    Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010. Story
Hi guys, I'm Dino! I am a 4 year old, 76 lbs., neutered male Pitbull mix, who is an energetic, outgoing fella that loves to be outside. All of my friends tell me how handsome I am! I am one rambunctious boy who loves to run, jump and play. I will need to work on my manners to curb that excitement a bit and I'm a boundary tester, but I love treats and can't wait to learn! I've been a rockstar at Nose Work and can sniff out treats like a pro! I love being around people and already know how to sit if you offer me a treat. If you are looking for silly puppy hijinks in a bigger package, then I'm your boy!  FOSTER CARE!   Hello world! My name is Gracie, and I'm an outgoing, playful, silly girl with a great personality. I'm 2 years old and about 42lbs., spayed female Pitbull mix who is just an absolute doll. I love to love and can sometimes be a bit overwhelming with my affection, but I listen really well and love treats so my training is coming right along! Story
Video Available! Hi there!  My name is Hershey and I'm a 1 year old, neutered, pit bull that weighs about 60lbs. I'm a curious and playful young dog that is still working on my manners. Because of this, I prefer to join an adult only household with people that have experience with teaching dogs how to share. I'm a great walker and could be the perfect adventure buddy. I absolutely LOVE treats so training should come easily! I already know that good boys sit before going through a door. I am a very affectionate and playful guy! I love fetch and can jump up high to catch a ball! If I sound like the perfect addition to the family, ask Customer Service about Hershey!  ID# A942461 I recently had some playtime with one of my favorite volunteers! Here is what they had to say: 'Took Hershey out for first time Saturday. There were absolutely no issues with him: he was easy to gear and was a great walker. He was a ball of energy in the yard, jumping high to get his ball and even jumped over the bench to catch one! Hershey seems very affectionate and attentive to you when interacting.'Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010. Story
Meet Lia our strikingly beautiful, approximately 3 yr. old, spayed pittie blend. She has a stunning light brindle coat reminiscent of a caramel sundae and her bright golden eyes, reflect a gentle soul and a curious mind. Lia’s ear to ear infectious grin, her tall, and pointed antennae ears add to her uniqueness. Be prepared for strangers to comment on her incredible features often. She is a stunner with a fan club! Lia is fully vaccinated, microchipped and was a great canine citizen in playgroups at the San José shelter. While in her past life at the shelter she enjoyed supervised romps with other dogs, these days she prefers 1:1 time with humans -what can we say, she is all about the humans. When approached by stranger’s up close and personal, she melts into a 60lb, wiggle worm who may try to slip you a little tongue action but behind a door she’ll sound like a posse of guardian dogs ready to defend their flock. All bark, no action – can be bought with treats or pets. Lia epitomizes the essence of “cannot be bothered” by passing dogs while on leash. She is an expert hiker, or an ideal companion for a leisurely stroll. She firmly supports the “suns out – buns out” lifestyle. PACC seeks an active household that appreciates large, strong, and active dogs, particularly those who enjoy cuddling with the whole family on the couch for Netflix and chill time. Kids in the home should be 10+ because little humans take a lot of time, dogs take time, and most families don't have time for both. Cats are not recommended. If you’re looking for a girl who combines beauty and brain’s, then fill out our application and meet this stunner. If Lia sounds like a good fit with your situation, COPY AND PASTE THE LINK TO OUR APPLICATION BELOW INTO YOUR BROWSER - Adoptapet does not support live links: https://forms.gle/EFEHcajugPWz2wJdA

Story
Hello, this pet is looking for a unique guardian angel to *temporarily* home her until we can forever home her in September. She is currently in a neglectful and toxic situation and has been for years. She has some acute medical issues that I am willing to collaborate on with the temporary foster home parent. She is a senior and this is her last opportunity to end her life in a peaceful situation. She will require lots of love, some ongoing medical care maintenance while she is in recovery and a patient home where she is the only pet. She is incredibly loving, sweet and has very low energy due to her acute infections and the ther issues. I am Hoping for a dog lover who loves a good rescue and has capacity to collaborate with me until I return from my honeymoon and can house her for the rest of her days. The household she is in now belongs to my father who is in a meth addiction. I need some support with this rescue. Thank you kindly for considering

Story
Java is the CUTEST little staffy weighing in at 34 pounds of love - he is about two years old. This precious boy came to us from a very sad situation where he had lived chained up in a shed for a majority of his young life. Because of that, he is very timid and unsure of things in the world. He's most comfortable in his foster home. Java is fostered with other dogs and does fantastic. He is very cat like and loves nothing more than to snuggle up on the couch and sleep for hours. He is crate trained and does well in the house. His ideal home would be with someone who understands why dogs and will give him time to build trust and understand that he's more of a homebody. Pit bull & strong breed adoption criteria - Must be over 25 years of age to adopt a Pit Bull, Pit Bull mix, or strong breed dog. - Written landlord permission or a pet policy allowing the specific breed is required for adoption approval. - A virtual home visit may be required. - Training or breed experience is required as part of the adoption. - Agree to not take the dog to dog parks or dog daycare. Please fill out an application at our website www.gobeyondrescue.org/adopt. Our adoption fee is $450 and includes spay/neuter, microchipping and up to date vaccines. We adopt within 200 miles of San Francisco.

Story
Through no fault of her own, Samantha has been in our shelter for more than a year after being found as a stray. She is nothing if not resilient, living in a kennel week after week, month after month, and we are honored to care for her. But she needs a home. Take a close look at this deserving little pittie. Perhaps you'll see what we do: the best smiling face, the happiest attitude, the bubbliest personality. Can you imagine waking up to this pure doggie joy every day? She's a smiler who seems to revel in life, a dog who sees the glass as half full. The word wigglebutt was invented for Samantha. She's been in a shelter for so long, she has been quite nervous in a couple of her foster homes, barking at noises and people she doesn't know. But she settles down with patience. Samantha's reactivity toward other animals has improved, but she should be your only pet until she receives further training to leave cats and small dogs alone. * 2 years, 4 months old * small for her breed * easy to walk * lots of fun * loves people * Good with kids * should be only fur child Apply on our website, and call (510) 337-8565 to make an appointment. If she is not in a foster home, you may meet Samantha any afternoon except Monday at 1590 Fortmann Way in Alameda, California. Her adoption fee has already been paid for by an admirer, so you owe nothing!
