Story
Toby was rescued off the Urgent list from being euthanized! He is the friendliest boy! He is a year old, and we believe he's a Heeler X Husky mix. Toby enjoys giving kisses and giving you his paw, and will occasionally jump up to give you a hug but he is very gentle. He listens well to No and we think he'd be an easily trainable dog. He doesn't make much noise and doesn't howl. He does amazing with everyone, even kids. Toby is potty trained as long as he goes out two-three times a day. He walks well on a harness/will pull with just the collar. He was animal tested at the shelter, and did well with other dogs. Toby doesn't like being crated but gets destructive when being left alone, when being alone he started to tear up our carpet. Unfortunately, being in a rented townhome this isn't the best situation for him. We love him and think he is probably bored, he may need another dog (or more active person). A fenced in yard/somewhere for him to run/or a playmate would be great for him!

Story
Hello! My name is Autumn, and I am the ultimate people-lover. I am incredibly affectionate and focused on my human friends, ready to be both your engaging activity partner and your most dedicated cuddle buddy. I love everyone I meet, and making new human friends is my favorite pastime! I have a wonderful, balanced energy level. I am always happy to go for a long sniff-ari walk, where I enjoy spying on squirrels and other critters—my curiosity is endless! I am already well-trained, boasting excellent leash manners and impeccable food manners. When the adventure is over, I transition instantly into a "super cuddly" mode, ready for deep snuggles on the couch. I am very attentive and focused on people, which makes me a joy to live with. I'd be a wonderful fit for an active family looking for a loving companion. While I adore humans, I can be anxious around new dogs and need patient, very slow introductions. I currently live with cats and am curious but not aggressive towards them; I return easily to my person if a cat seems uncomfortable. A patient, loving home that is ready for endless affection is my dream! Apply on the MACS Friends website!November 17, 2025, 9:23 pm

Story
Please contact ADOPTION (adopt@doggieharmony.org) for more information about this pet. Kathrine would do really well in a fenced in yard where she got to spend time at home or went to areas that were not densely populated with dogs because of the leash reactivity towards dogs.   With proper introduction she would be ok with her own dog. She will go to her crate, but she has spent so much time in a crate, she feels safer with the door open. She has spent the last 2 years in foster home so she just needs a consistent home where she can. blossom.  https://www.instagram.com/reel/DLH8a6Fxi9q/ Age:  5 years Weight: 40 lbs Temperament: Gets along with, kids, dogs with proper intro.  Has some leash reactivity Training: Housetrained, crate-trained but prefers open door, has basic training Vetting: Spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative Email for questions:     lizannbach@gmail.com To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Story
Meet Odie! Odie is one of many dogs we have saved from rural Upson County lately. Being a very small, rural shelter the dogs are only held for a very short stray hold before they are at risk of euthanasia. Thankfully they have a very dedicated group of volunteers who work tirelessly to try to get the dogs to safety before their time runs out Odie is about a year and a half old and not even 35 lbs - what a great age and size! It's hard to know for sure what breed he is given that he was a stray but those tell tale spots could mean there is some heeler or maybe even bird dog in there. We prefer to think of him as 100% purebred Rescue Mutt - the best kid of dog there is! Odie is great with other dogs and has learned to really love his crate as well. He's a super social guy who was a big hit at one of our adoption events recently - stopping to greet all of the new people he came upon. This well rounded lovebug will make an amazing addition to one lucky family! Interested in adopting?
