Levi loves his people deeply, but can feel stressed if he’s cornered or if his boundaries aren’t respected. He thrives in a calm, understanding home where he’s given space to warm up at his own pace. For that reason, he’s looking for an adult-only home (no young kids, please). The great news is, Levi is wonderful about communicating when he’s uncomfortable and is easily called away or redirected. Meet Sugar Plum: All Around Great Dog! This is Sugar Plum! Her smile is genuine, and this happy girl is always smiling! Sugar Plum is approximately 1.5 years old and is a perfect size at roughly 45 pounds. She is potty trained, crate trained, and knows many basic commands including “sit”, “down”, and “stay”. You would never know by her friendly outgoing and happy demeanor that Sugar Plum had a rough start in life. As a puppy she was hit by a car, left untreated and eventually had one leg amputated. Sugar Plum bounced back beautifully, and her disposition is still sweeter and happier than just about any dog you’ll ever meet. Because of the amputation Sugar Plum is a tripod, but don’t let that dampen your enthusiasm because it doesn’t slow her down one bit! She doesn’t notice it, and neither will you when you meet her. She is a wonderful role model for people to see! Sugar Plum would fit right in with an active lifestyle and someone that will appreciate her fun spirit and loving companionship. She does great with people, kids and other dogs, but we do think her youthful puppy energy might be a bit much for smaller children.
