Mojo was found as a stray and we made every effort to find his owners but to no avail. He is an Aussie mix and of course with the breed comes high activity. I will say that he loves his down time though! He is NOT an apartment dog. He needs a good sized fenced yard. He is not great in a crowd of dogs but will do well with a sister or brother to play with. He hasn't been tested with cats so we don't know about that. The vet believes his age to be about 6 years. He's neutered, vaccinated, crate trained and heart worm negative. He is more than ready for his forever home! This precious girl came from one of the worst hoarding situations that we have ever dealt with. there were over 100 dogs on the property, none of them spayed or neutered. Finally, the authorities went in and they managed to get ALL of the dogs out of there. Filthy dirty situation, sick puppies, you name it. We choose to take Blossom home to our rescue because her eyes were begging us for love and attention. She was very pregnant and two weeks after arriving, she gave birth to 7 heathy puppies! Every single puppy was different, every singe puppy had a different daddy! We think that Blossom had never been paid any attention to because she was so shy. Once we weaned her babies we took her out of the nursery and into the house where she just blossomed! That's how she got her name! Her puppies have long since been adopted and now it's her turn. We actually did a DNA on her and it came back with 4 different breeds, which we kind of figured from the beginning. Australian Cattle Dog, Labrador Retriever, Pit Bull, Boxer. Yes, she is truly a "Mutt!. She is extremely smart and will do anything for a treat. I want her to have a nice fenced yard with lots of room to run. Cattle dogs are working dogs and they need lots of exercise! She is spayed, crate trained, fully vaccinated, microchipped and house broken, truly a gem! Ready for immediate transport. OUR RESCUE POLICY - It is our rescue policy for all our dogs that we require a home with experienced dog owners only and no children under that age of 8 years. WE REQUIRE AT LEAST TWO YEARS OF VET RECORDS ON YOUR CURRENT OR PAST DOG FOR OUR REVIEW. RECORDS MUST SHOW THE POTENTIAL ADOPTER AS THE OWNER The total adoption fee of $500 ( and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, distemper , and microchip. Roxy would thrive in a home with a solo person or active couple.. She be left alone with absolutely no issues. She is not a barker but is she hears things she will respond. Yes indifferent to dogs.  Recently she’s tried to play with other dogs but doesn’t really know how. So she never has been socialized with dogs. She’s very  affectionate to her people and loves her belly rubbed.  Shy around new people.    She is in Westport CT Roxy is 5-6 year old female cattle dog.  30 pounds.  She appears smaller than she is.  Fully vetted, heathy and spayed. Roxy is the sweetest.  She’s a rescue so it takes a little bit of time for her to open up but when she does, she will love you forever.  She’s smart and listens on command.  I can’t stress this enough.  She is house trained, does well on leash and especially well off leash. She loves walks and hikes in the woods.  She likes a good deal of exercise, so would do well with someone active.  She’s a gentle dog but has some cattle dog instincts and is sensitive to loud noises so would be best not with a young family.  She generally avoids other dogs.   Definitely not aggressive but is submissive if anything.  She has spent an extended period of time with a cat without an issue.  Overall Roxy is a great dog.  I’m a surgical resident in a busy hospital in New York and I don’t have the time, attention or space she needs and deserves.  I’d love to find her a loving owner who can shower her with affection. November 28, 2023, 4:04 pm

Meet Jessie's Girl!  This pretty girl is affectionate, playful, intelligent, and has lots of energy (but also has a "chill" side too).  Jessie absolutely loves attention and would make a great family pet with kids, dogs or cats. She has a submissive and sweet personality that you will fall in love with quickly. She is a bit shy with new people and dogs but very friendly with absolutely no trace of aggression. Jessie would make a great companion for an active family or someone who runs, cycles, and likes to hike.  Jessie loves to play and go for walks - she also loves her toys and if you play with her with a frisbee, ball, tug, or squeak toy she will be your BFF for life! She would love  an active family (maybe someone who jogs or cycles) or living on a large piece of property where she can run. Jessie is 3 years old and weighs about 40 lbs. - she is full grown so she's "right sized" for just about any home situation. She is also housetrained, good on a leash and a very good listener.
