Story
Meet Penny! Poor Penny was left behind when her owner went to prison. We hope to find her a wonderful family that will give her the love and security that she didn't have before. Penny is a 2-year-old, 30 lb, fully grown Heeler mix with the sweetest, most loving personality! She is unsure/shy at first, but once she realizes you're a friend, her sweet personality comes out. She prefers female humans around her, as it seems much easier for her to trust them. She doesn't growl or bark if she doesn't feel comfortable with someone; she just steps aside or hides. Penny is very gentle and affectionate. She will bark at cats, but has never shown any aggression toward them—just a little bark to let them know she sees them! She's an easy girl to love and would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a sweet dog. 2 years old 30 lbs Heeler mix Spayed Dog-friendly Affectionate Walks nicely on leash A little unsure of new people at first, but warms up. A patient owner with lots of love will be the best home. Penny is ready to find her people and show them just how lovable she is! Location: Currently in a foster home in NJ. Story
Meet Moby Moby is a 2 year, 8 month old Australian Cattle Dog weighing about 50 lbs. He is a neutered male who is both crate trained, leash trained and house trained, and he knows basic commands like sit and down and comes when called. Moby is a friendly, affectionate dog with new people. He enjoys attention, belly rubs, and is comfortable being pet by neighbors. For this reason, Moby will need an experienced adopter or foster who understands herding breeds and is comfortable continuing behavior work and setting clear boundaries. His breed does best with a fenced yard so his home will need to have one. Dogs: Selective depending on size Cats: Unknown Children: Unknown Moby would likely thrive in a structured, adult-only home with consistent leadership, breed experience, and a commitment to helping him succeed. With the right environment and guidance, Moby will be a loyal, loving companion.  He desperately needs a foster. He is not doing well in boarding, he has been there for months.    To adopt Moby, please apply at www.peace4paws.org/adoption-application using a laptop or computer. Not able to adopt right now? You can still make a difference in Moby's life! Fostering is another wonderful way to help, or you can donate toward Moby’s care while he waits for his forever family. Every bit of support helps us give sweet dogs like Moby the love and care they deserve. Meet Zeeke! Arriving 10/25 in NJ Zeeke is a handsome 1-year-old Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler mix weighing about 26 pounds. This sweet boy showed up at a woman’s house one day, and after she started feeding him, he decided he had found a safe place to stay. Unfortunately, she is unable to keep him, so Zeeke is now looking for a family of his own. Zeeke has puppy energy and loves being around people. He enjoys attention and will happily try to climb into your lap for some loving and pets. He does well with other people coming into the house and was good around the other dogs he encountered at the vet’s office. Zeeke has not yet been tested with children or cats, so those introductions are still unknown. He would love an active family who will give him plenty of attention, exercise, and guidance as he continues to grow into the wonderful young dog he is meant to be. Story
Hi! This is Ben, our sweet family dog who has been a very loved part of my mom’s and my life for over 5 years. ❤️Ben is super friendly, gentle, loving, and affectionate. He is a mix of Australian Cattle Dog and German Shepherd. He is up to date on his vaccinations and had a checkup and received two updated vaccines at the vet last month. He loves going on walks, being around people, and getting lots of attention. We recently had him stay at a doggy daycare for a weekend, and he had a great time! He was very friendly and adjusted wonderfully.Unfortunately, we are struggling to provide Ben with the care he deserves. This is a very difficult decision because we love him so much, but we want to find him a loving forever home where he will be happy and well cared for.If you or someone you know may be interested, please reach out. We would love to find our sweet Ben the perfect family. ❤️🐾

Story
Our old, perfect, classy lady Daisy. Daisy is a 7-year-old mix who weighs approximately 40 lbs and is the sweetest girl. You wouldn’t know she was 7 years old, as she is a puppy by heart. With Daisy you get a cuddling, loving older dog demeanor with the playfulness and happiness of a puppy. And almost no training necessary! Daisy is house and crate trained. Daisy gets along great with other dogs and would do wonderful in a home with another dog to keep her company. She absolutely loves people and is the first one to greet anyone that is coming through the door or gate. Daisy was found roaming the streets of south Texas by Mexico; She was super skinny and you could just see the defeated look in her face. Thankfully, a good Samaritan saw her and couldn’t just turn away from her. She has been in the care of a sanctuary for 6 months now. She is a very relaxed dog. She just wants to lay out in the sun, play a little bit, relax and just hang out. Daisy would do great in a home that is a bit more relaxed and wants a dog that is very casual but VERY loving. She does great on car rides! Her favorite thing to eat are hot dogs. The foster says one of her favorite things about Daisy is that she doesn’t destroy toys, so all toys survive around Daisy, SO FAR. She doesn’t really know commands, but she loves to follow you around, and just wants to find her perfect humans. Please consider giving old lady Daisy a chance at her forever home. Daisy is fixed (spayed/neutered), heart worm positive (they have received the 30-day course of antibiotics and need to stay on heart worm prevention for 12-16 months and be retested then), current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport. PLEASE READ BELOW: To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. Story
Meet Athena 💕🐾 Athena is an 18-month-old, 59-pound bundle of sweetness, energy, and adventure looking for her forever home. Athena’s Story Athena was found wandering alone in a shopping mall parking lot. A foster’s daughter began feeding her and sharing posts about her, hoping someone would step up to help. Sadly, nobody did — so Athena was given the chance she deserved, and she has been safe with her foster family since August 23, 2026. Now, she’s ready to find a family of her own. What She’s Like: Athena is sweet, smart, playful, and incredibly entertaining. She absolutely loves having fun and is happiest when she has people, dogs, toys, and adventures around her. She is an active girl who loves to play with other dogs. In fact, she loves them so much that we strongly recommend a home with another active, energetic dog or regular access to doggy daycare or playtime with canine friends. Athena also loves her toys and is a very smart girl who enjoys staying busy. She is very much a water dog and would love a family who enjoys exploring — especially oceans, lakes, and anywhere she can experience a new adventure. 🌊 She also loves riding in the car, making her an excellent potential companion for long drives, road trips, and exploring new places together. 🚗🐾 Athena’s Home Skills • 🏡 House-trained: Yes • 🐾 Crate-trained: Yes — she sleeps comfortably in a 42-inch crate • 🚗 Car-trained: Yes, and she loves riding in the car • 🐶 Dogs: Absolutely loves other dogs • 👧 Children: Yes, she loves kids • 🐱 Cats: Curious about cats and would need appropriate introductions and supervision • ⚡ Energy level: Active Her Ideal Home Athena would thrive with active owners who want a dog to be part of their adventures. A home with another energetic, playful dog would be ideal for her, or a family able to provide regular opportunities for her to socialize and play with other dogs. She would be a wonderful match for someone who enjoys being outdoors, taking road trips, exploring new places, playing with their dog, and making plenty of memories together. Athena has already had a difficult start, but you would never know it from the joyful, loving dog she is today. She is ready for someone to finally choose her — and give her the forever home she deserves. ❤️ Athena is ready for her next adventure. Could that adventure be with you? Athena is spayed, heart worm negative, current on age-appropriate vaccinations (bordatella, rabies and parvo distemper), current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer and will receive a clean bill of health from a veterinarian prior to adoption. Story
Georgey (or in Spanish, Gorge) is an 11-month-old pup that weighs approximately 32 lbs. While we do not know who his parents are, we believe he is Australian kelpie mixed with lab or catahoula. Either way, he is definitely adorable and very petite. We do think he is full grown as he has not grown since we got him. He has been in foster care since March 2025 - He was born on a ranch in south Texas, where a stray dog had puppies at. Only Gorge and his brother, Johnny, were surrendered though. We don’t know what happened to the other puppies or the parents. This awesome boy absolutely loves other dogs; big and small. He is currently being fostered in a sanctuary in south Texas, along the Texas/Mexico border. This amazing sanctuary is only a short term stop for this fur-baby until their forever home is found. Gorge is a goofy boy – he is always willing to try something first and would be considered the “class clown” of the group. He is a pleaser and loves being accepted by the other dogs. He is more submissive than most. Gorge loves his toys and playing around the yard. There is nothing he does not like doing. He is all around a very relaxed and easy going boy that would fit almost all types of households. He loves being around his people and will follow you around, trying to please you too. Gorge gets a little jealous when other dogs are out playing and he is in kennel. He will make very sad whimpering sounds in hopes to get let out, and usually it works! Gorge loves his toys so much that he decides it’s much better to have 20 pieces of one toy than just one toy! Tough toys are definitely a must for young Gorgey. He has met kitties and he has no issues with them! He would live very happy with other dogs and kitties in the home. Gorge is so friendly that he loves kids, strangers and really, any human! Gorge would love a home that has another dog or dogs, where he can play, have a kiddo pool full of water to lay in and go on walks around the neighborhood to explore and see new things. He would be truly great for most types of households. This animal is fixed (spayed/neutered), heart worm positive (they have received the 30-day course of antibiotics and need to stay on heart worm prevention for 12-16 months and be retested then), current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport.
