Story
Meet Max, a charming 7-year-old cattle dog mix with a beautiful brindle coat. Max is an absolute sweetheart who adores people and is known for his snuggling skills. He's the perfect companion for cozy evenings on the couch or long walks in the park. Max has received all his vaccines and is in excellent health with no known medical issues. He is fully house-trained, making him an easy addition to any home. While we're uncertain about his experience with children, his gentle and affectionate nature suggests he could be a great fit for a family. Max may require a slow introduction to other dogs, but with time and patience, he could potentially become friends with a fur sibling. If you're looking to adopt two furry companions, Max's fur sibling, Junior, is also in need of a loving home. However, they can be adopted separately if that better suits your situation. These wonderful dogs are currently seeking a new home due to their owner's illness and hospitalization.

Story
Smokey is a 1 year old neutered, up to date on shots, male blue heeler, around 45lbs, he’s good with kids and other dogs, he’s not mean or aggressive with cats he just hasn’t been around many. He needs a home with someone that’s willing to take the time and train him, he’s currently living in a pen and has so much built up energy, so when anyone goes in to feed him he jumps on them. He just wants a family to call his own and throw his ball for him and let him be part of a family, in the house with them. He’s very sweet and loving and very very smart , which without a active family to help entertain him, can get him in trouble, he’s all puppy and playfulness. Story
My name is Tatum. I am a Red Heeler/ American Shepard/ Boxer mix. I am between 1 and 2 years old. I am very young and sweet. I am very loving but also skittish of strangers at first. I like other animals but they don't like me because I'm very hyper and I have a lot of energy. I think I'm a lap dog. I don't understand that I'm big. I need a big place to run and be walked regularly so I can run off my energy and be your buddy in the house. I am kennel trained mostly. And potty trained somewhat. But I will need you to keep working on that with me. I would say I'm probably better with older kids and adults just because I'm so hyper. As I get older and get room to run I will get better with that. I am very lovable and sweet. I am a people pleaser. I want to do whatever you want me too. I just need you to help me understand whatever it is you want me to do. If you are interested in adopting me contact contact bakerbridgerescue@aol.com. I look forward to seeing and meeting you, my adopter, soon.

Story
Hi, I'm Doris! In Greek, my name means "gift and I like to think of myself as a gift to those who are lucky enough to be my friend. I am the total package - beautiful, smart, confident, and independent. Some may say I'm a little sassy, but that's just because I have strong opinions and I'm not shy about letting you know how I feel. I take my time choosing my friends, but I am affectionate and playful with those who have earned my trust. My favorite activity is splashing around in my pool when it's hot outside, but I also love going for walks, playing with stuffed toys, and cuddling up in cozy blankets. You don't have to worry about keeping me entertained at every moment, though, as I enjoy having plenty of time and space to do my own thing. An important thing to know about me is that I like to be in charge of my environment and belongings, especially my food, but I am working on getting better at that with people I trust. Because I am still a work-in-progress, however, my ideal home would be with adults only and no other pets. I would also prefer a home without a lot of visitors, since it takes me time to build my relationships. If you are an experienced and patient owner, and are willing to go at my pace with introductions and trust building, I might be just the gift you need in your life. Ask to meet me - we might be the perfect match! Doris is sponsored by: Laura Dove - I hope you find your forever home soon. Story
Hello there! My name is Happy, and I'm looking for my forever home filled with love and belly rubs! I'm a very happy dog with a zest for life, and I can't wait to bring joy and happiness to a special family. One of my favorite things to do is going on walks. I'm fantastic on a leash and enjoy exploring the world with my human companions. The sights, sounds, and smells of the great outdoors never fail to spark my curiosity and keep my tail wagging with excitement. I'm a smart pup who already knows some tricks like sitting and laying down. Learning new things is fun for me, and I'm eager to please. If you're patient and willing to teach me more, I'll be the star of the training class in no time! Now, let's talk about treats-oh boy, do I love them! Treats make me go crazy with happiness, and I'm always ready to show off my tricks for a tasty reward. If you have a stash of treats and a willingness to teach me new tricks, we'll make an unbeatable team! Affection is something I can't get enough of. I absolutely adore head and belly rubs! It's pure bliss to feel your gentle touch and know that I'm loved. Whenever you're ready to shower me with affection, I'll be right by your side, wagging my tail and giving you sweet, grateful looks. I must admit that I'm a bit shy around other dogs. It's not that I don't like them; I just prefer the company of my human friends. I may hide or keep my distance when encountering other furry pals, but with a patient and understanding family, I might gain more confidence over time. If you're searching for a furry companion who radiates happiness and brings endless love and joy to your life, look no further-I'm your perfect match! Let's create a lifetime of memories filled with walks, tricks, treats, and plenty of belly rubs. Come meet me today, and let's embark on this wonderful journey together!

FOSTER HOME OR ADOPTIVE HOME NEEDED! Ask About Our Foster To Adopt Program! CandKRescue.org Hope is about 1 year old we guess she is a Cattle Dog/Terrier mix who weighs about 40 pounds. She's the perfect medium sized pup! Hope loves ALL people and would be happy in a home where she can be the queen and be the only dog. Hopes favorite activity is watching animal videos on YouTube. We aren't kidding. She LOVES IT! Hope is housetrained and has nice house manners. She one of the friendliest pups we've ever met! She is great with the 5-year-old child in her foster home. She would make the perfect family dog! Hope is spayed, up to date on vaccines, she is heartworm negative and microchipped. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** ***We do not place dogs in homes with children under the age of 5 unless they currently live with a dog or have lived with a dog in their home*** The adoption fee for this dog is $375, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. **Adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs and/or all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So, adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** **If you're viewing this on Petfinder, please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**
