Story
Female, 2 years old, 24lbs Good with: Dogs Not tested with: Cats, kids House trained: Yes Energy level: Moderate Noise level: Quiet Hi there! I'm Millie, a delightful furry friend ready to steal your heart. I'm a canine connoisseur of the great outdoors, always up for a romp in the sunshine and a good game of fetch. Give me a bone, and I'll happily indulge in some satisfying chewing – although, I must admit, I have a bit of a penchant for cables too. Oops! When I'm not busy playing, you'll find me being my cuddly self. I'm as soft as a cloud and love nothing more than burrowing into your lap, showering you with kisses. However, if you're busy working, I'll happily hang in my crate, on a dog bed, or nap at your feet. I'm flexible! I'm also happy sleeping in my crate overnight, but would prefer to be close to my people. Being close to my people is my happy place, and I've got this whole house-trained thing down pat. However, when it comes to leash walking and commands like sit, well, let's just say I'm a work in progress. So far, I’ve been a little cautious of stairs, but I don’t mind being picked up. I might need a bit of guidance and patience in that department. I've got a unique social style. At first, I can be a tad wary of new faces, but once I open up, I'm all in. Consider me your best friend for life. On walks, I can get a little nervous, feeling a bit overwhelmed by the big wide world, but with your reassurance, I'm sure to gain confidence. Similarly, I'm not a huge fan of big, rambunctious dogs - they are too scary for little old me! - but I'd happily befriend a dog of a similar size and temperament. I may even benefit from being in a home with another dog to help build my confidence. So, if you're looking for a loyal companion who loves the outdoors, enjoys a good cuddle, and has a soft spot for balls, look no further – I'm Millie, and I can't wait to be your four-legged bestie! Please note that, since I am a rescue dog, my breed is currently a best guess and can only be verified through a DNA test kit. I can’t wait to find my forever home where I can share all the love I’ve got to give! My foster guardian says: Millie is the sweetest pup with so much love to give, despite starting life in a tough situation. She’d make the perfect addition to any family! Likes: Balls, chew sticks, cuddles, kisses Dislikes : Stairs, overstimulation, big dogs Adoption Application : http://bit.ly/adoptrdr Foster Application :  https://rdr.formstack.com/forms/foster_app My adoption fee includes: Spay/Neuter Surgery (unless I'm too to young!) Story
Willow Whisper is just the sweetest Cattle Dog girl that is a wonderfully well-mannered and easy going 4 year old that weighs 50 pounds.  She lost her home when her owner was turned out of the place he lived and he had to move in with other people that would not allow him to take his dogs.  Willow Whisper has joined a foster mom and her other dog and has fit in like she always has lived there.  She is eager to please and loves to be right next to you. She is not afraid to ask for pets and definitely leans into your hand when you give her little positive affirmation pats on the head.  The Cattle Dog breed is devoted and loving and very smart and this is a curious girl who loves to go on walks and take her time to sniff all the surroundings. She is uber smart and knows basic commands,  is housebroken and happily goes into a crate without a fuss. We loves and is super friendly with other dogs and easily plays with any toys you have laying around.  Willow Whisper’s  bubbly personality is such a positive to be around and she is very moderate with her energy. She is comfy on a couch but can also chase a toy down a hallway. Don’t miss out on this special girl who has nothing but great attributes to bring to your life and family.   Please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested in Willow Whisper. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 24, 2024, 11:06 pm

Story
My name is Xena and I am a pretty little Cattle Dog mix pup that is 5 months old and weighing 33 pounds on the way to being a 50 pound adult.  This pretty girl has had a lot of time with her foster mom teaching her manners, commands and creating a very loving and snuggly pup.  This girl came in as a stray that no one claimed nor seemed to care about.  Critter Cavalry Rescue has watched her gain confidence as a puppy, learn how to be 100% potty trained, crate trained and how to make herself fit in with other dogs and cats in a home lifestyle environment. This pretty girl is a Cattle Dog mix and if you know about the breed you know they are devoted companions to their family and owner and they are wicked SMART!  They don’t miss a trick and they learn at warp speed whatever you care to teach them.  This girl is ready to go NOW…are you ready for her intelligence, love and her being yours for the next 15 years.  These dogs live a long life that leaves you with a warm and deep memory of the good things that you feel when you own this kind of breed.  She would benefit from a fenced yard as she will love hanging out in the yard enjoying and soaking up the great outdoors.  Hiking, outdoor events to attend, jogs or walks will be the lifestyle that this girl will embrace with you.  Take her anywhere…Rides in the car, visits to family and enrolling her in some wonderful agility events or classes.  She would excel at everything.   Please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested in knowing more about her and adopting.

Story
This precious girl came from one of the worst hoarding situations that we have ever dealt with. there were over 100 dogs on the property, none of them spayed or neutered. Finally, the authorities went in and they managed to get ALL of the dogs out of there. Filthy dirty situation, sick puppies, you name it. We choose to take Blossom home to our rescue because her eyes were begging us for love and attention. She was very pregnant and two weeks after arriving, she gave birth to 7 heathy puppies! Every single puppy was different, every singe puppy had a different daddy! We think that Blossom had never been paid any attention to because she was so shy. Once we weaned her babies we took her out of the nursery and into the house where she just blossomed! That's how she got her name! Her puppies have long since been adopted and now it's her turn. We actually did a DNA on her and it came back with 4 different breeds, which we kind of figured from the beginning. Australian Cattle Dog, Labrador Retriever, Pit Bull, Boxer. Yes, she is truly a "Mutt!: She is extremely smart and will do anything for a treat. I want her to have a nice fenced yard with lots of room to run. Cattle dogs are working dogs and they need lots of exercise! She is spayed, crate trained, fully vaccinated, microchipped and house broken, truly a gem! Ready for immediate transport. ADOPTION FEE $400 PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION!
