Hazel is a sweet athletic young lady with a lot of love to give. Hazel was an abandoned dog in a remote rural area. She took up residence under the stairs of a dog loving Elder. The Elder asked if we could take the little dog into rescue as the pooch was homeless, pregnant and it was very cold. The Good Samaritan has stayed in touch with PUP, making regular inquiries about how she is getting along. Very well, thank you. Hazel is a beautiful girl who has been a devoted mommy and is now hoping for her own forever home. She is doing a great job meeting new people but needs a bit of time to warm up to a new dog. We had DNA testing done on one pup from her litter. Based on that testing we got Hazel’s DNA. She is Chihuahua, Siberian Husky, Australian Cattle dog, and German Shepherd. She weighs about 30# and is remarkably agile. If someone is looking for a dog to train in agility, Hazel might be your pooch. Check out the video linked at the end of the bio. If given the option she would love to share the bed with her person. She appropriately alerts to 'stranger danger'. One night she unexpectedly started barking. Morning revealed the foster's truck had been invaded/gone through. Hazel has been vet checked, is vaccinated spayed, and de-wormed. When she was spapyed we found a buckshot pellet suggesting a story we will never hear but can imagine. He, his sister Emeprev, and all of their siblings were found in a tote on the side of the road when they were very young. They were in very poor condition, but the shelter that found them pulled every puppy through. They are now happy, healthy, and ready for new homes. Prednisone is just a baby and is not yet house or crate trained. This is something his new family will need to work on with his. He does not currently live with kids, and we do not know if he’s ever seen a cat. Prednisone is very young and could be properly introduced in a new home. *Each pup is spayed or neutered and current on their vet cares. *We do not hold or reserve dogs. We do not ship or fly. Located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders. Faye is a wonderfully sweet girl found as a stray. She does well with other dogs and seems to be housetrained. She has done well with strangers and kids, not sure about cats. She did well in a crate and in a car. She likes to play but also loves attention. She will be a great companion for any family.

Story
My name is Josie. I am a six month old cattle dog mix. I have enjoyed playing with every dog that I have met so far and it sure takes a lot to tire me out! I love to run and play and chase balls. I also like to play in the water and the kiddie pool. I’m still learning a lot of my manners, but they say I’m very smart and a quick learner. My foster home has a fenced in yard so I know where my boundaries are. I need lots of room to run and play. I do like toys, especially the puzzle kinds that keep me busy! I know lots of commands like sit and shake. I do like go to my kennel most of the time, but when it’s time to get up in the morning, I am ready to go. I would be too best with someone who has experience with cattle dogs, because I have a lot of energy. I am happy and wild and love attention and I need a job and some direction to keep me out of trouble!
