Story
Rose unfortunately found herself in a high-kill shelter through no fault of her own. She was adopted from the same shelter 2 years ago and then was abandoned at her owner's apartment and their roommates returned her to the shelter once again. She was brought up to Wisconsin on 10/26 with Mutt Life Dog Rescue of Wisconsin and is doing amazing in her foster home. About 𝓡𝓞𝓢𝓔: This girl loves life and is SO easy to love. ❤️ - she's housebroken (zero accidents so far) - great energy level. She loves to play but is also content to lay around and sleep. - she's learning our house rules quickly - she knows a few commands like sit and down - shes AMAZING with kids. Not at all scared of their loudness or quick movements. - She is working in her leash manners 😄. - she's just the sweetest love bug and anyone would be so lucky to have her. Rose has been doing amazing with her foster family. She was recently adopted and was a little too pesty with their cats so had to be returned. She is still looking for her forever family and is hoping to spend the holidays with them! 🌹𝓡𝓞𝓢𝓔 🌹🐾 Age: 3 years, 8 months old Breed: Labrador Retriever/Cattle dog mix Gender: Female Current Weight: 42 lbs Good with kids: Yes Good with dogs: Yes Good with cats: no cats please Current on vaccinations: ✔️ Spay/neuter: Yes Adoption Fee: $500 If you are interested in adopting, please check out our website and fill out an application: www.muttlife.org

Story
Yes, my name’s Peter, but no, I do NOT pick any pickled peppers! I do love me a good belly rub, though! I also love playing fetch, and if you’re not going to throw the toy for me, I’ll throw it for myself! After some lifestyle changes, my family decided I wasn’t a good fit and dropped me off at a shelter. Man, was that scary! Thankfully, a kind lady came and got me out of there! I’m now decompressing with two big furry friends in my foster home. I loved that my foster mom took time to introduce me to my furry foster siblings instead of just throwing me to the wolves! They’re very respectful of my space and I really like that. I don’t really like when they get in my face when it’s not on my terms. Wanna know what’s cool? I’m crate trained, potty trained, and even know how to sit! Cold outside? No problem! I can snuggle and keep you warm! And don’t worry, I’ll give you a gentle nudge with my nose to remind you to keep petting me! I LOVE to run and play and because of this, I think I’d do best in an active home willing to give me the exercise I need. Because I don’t have experience with cats or small animals, I think I might be too interested to coexist with them. I do promise to be your loyal friend, however! We can go on walks together, play together, and snuggle together!! Doesn’t that sound wonderful?! Go ahead, go fill out that application at SandiPaws.org! I’ll be waiting for you!!Thank you for your interest in a Sandi Paws Rescue, Inc. Please visit our site at sandipaws.org for more information on our organization or to fill out an application to adopt one of our pets. You can find information for volunteering on our site as well.

Story
*** A generous donor has paid Porthos` adoption fee!Intake Reason: Surrendered due to aggression towards cats and lambsWeight: 77 lbsKnown with: ·Cats: Not good ·Dogs: Lived with brother, plays rough ·Kids: Did well, lived with ages 2 - 9 yrs old Hi there, my name is Porthos, the same as the character in The Three Musketeers. Just like him I try to be sincere and sweet and like to have a good time. The musketeer adds comic relief to the novel and I promise to make you smile every day. And, like him I will be extremely dedicated and loyal to my people. I lived with my brother, D’Arthgnan, and a family my whole life and I was happy and content. Unfortunately, I have a thing for cats and young sheep; they drive me crazy and I like to chase and torment them. My family frowned upon that behavior, so I came to WCHS to find a new family. In my previous home I spent time both indoors and outdoors, but since my hips are a little bit achy, I am thinking I much prefer the comforts of indoor living with comfy blankets and orthopedic beds. I do enjoy communing with nature, so it might be lovely to have a fenced yard where I can occasionally spend time outdoors by myself and be safe and secure. I am I am not a couch potato but I also am not a marathon runner; I enjoy a nice easy-pace walk each day to discover all the wonders of the great outdoors. Although I am past my puppy chewing phase, I have been known to chew on unacceptable items when I am alone, so I was not allowed to freely roam around the house. I am comfortable in a crate when I am alone and that way I can stay out of mischief and relax because I do not have to manage the whole house by myself. In my home, I had learned to go to the door to ask to be let outside to use the facilities. Since everything will be new when I first get adopted, it would be wise to give me plenty of opportunities for potty breaks until we learn each other’s signals and routines. I am good with kids and think little humans are loads of fun; they will need to be careful with my hips so they do not accidentally hurt me. I like canine buddies and played with my brother and some neighbor dogs; it has been fun participating in playgroups at the shelter with dogs that are my size or larger. I have a very high prey drive so small dogs may not be good playmates and any wildlife critter would also be fair game. If I live with another pooch I would appreciate if we could be fed separately because I prefer t
