Story
Dooley Gordon was found by a kind soul in rural Alabama, and thanks to her dedication and generosity, he's an Angel Among Us now! We call him Doron, which means a Gift in Hebrew, because he is such a golden boy, in and out.    Doron is very well socialized and loves people, big and small, as well as dogs (cats are unknown, but there are no signs he should be bad with them, either). He is a loving, velcro dog who would follow you around the house and be beyond himself with joy when you come home back to him. He loves going on hikes, riding in a car, playing with toys, and other dogs, but most of all, interacting with his human.    Doron is fully house trained, neutered, up to date on his vaccines and probably very young. He loves his food, which is great, because right now at 37 pounds, he’s slightly underweight. We expect his ideal weight to be around 40-42 pounds. His coat is medium and he does shed in all shades of brown!    Doron must have a big yard where he can run! Right now, he walks on a leash for over 1.5 miles twice a day, and it's not enough, he still enjoys a good run in the backyard. Even though he is crate trained, he isn't great with staying alone for long periods of time and would be vocal about it. Therefore, we don't think he would be good for a condo or an apartment.    Doron is extremely smart and fast. He would be a great companion for an active family, with or without children, who can play with him, spend a lot of time with him and love him. In return, they would get the most loving, loyal and cute companion they could have ever dreamt about!   More pictures of Doron can be found here:  https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjBqiYz An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. We verify rental policies and adhere to any regulations. Please ensure you understand those restrictions before choosing a dog.          May 22, 2024, 5:17 pm

Story
We’ve had Casey for 5 years. We rescued her from a shelter in Chattanooga when she was approximately 1-2 years old. She is a smart Aussie, but highly anxious. She needed socialization and training when we adopted her - for both people and other dogs. While her socialization has improved, she remains high energy and extremely needy. For years, my husband trail ran with her, but he can no loner do that. We live in a small townhouse with no fenced in yard. Casey needs plenty of exercise and freedom, as her herding breed requires. We just can’t give that to her. She is highly devoted and loyal, but her anxiety causes turmoil with our other dog and in our family.

Story
Huxlee is a well mannered 45 lbs mix breed 1 year old boy. He would do best in a home with children over 12. Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.
