Story
We’ve had Casey for 5 years. We rescued her from a shelter in Chattanooga when she was approximately 1-2 years old. She is a smart Aussie, but highly anxious. She needed socialization and training when we adopted her - for both people and other dogs. While her socialization has improved, she remains high energy and extremely needy. For years, my husband trail ran with her, but he can no loner do that. We live in a small townhouse with no fenced in yard. Casey needs plenty of exercise and freedom, as her herding breed requires. We just can’t give that to her. She is highly devoted and loyal, but her anxiety causes turmoil with our other dog and in our family.

Story
Skye is a beautiful mini-aussie with hilarious personality. She just enjoys hanging out all day and being pet these days since she is 11. She can't go on long hikes due to hip arthritis but it's never a problem otherwise. She is a pure bred from a reputable breeder in Michigan. She doesn't care for other dogs and won't play, but she tolerated living with two other dogs now and a cat she loves! She is well behaved and won't even go more than 20ft away from you outside. Doesn't need a leash unless the area requires it. We only looking for a new home because I'm constantly traveling for business and moving a lot. It is expensive and doesn't seem fair to them when dog sitters just occasionally come check on them. We will require you to send some frequent photos and want to know about the home she will be going to.

Story
Samantha is a charming 4-month old bursting with sweetness, sass and smarts! She’s a social butterfly who loves making new friends. She’s crate and potty trained and sleeps in her crate all night. Samantha needs an energetic canine and preferably a secure fenced yard in her new home. As she’s still teething older children would be best. If you’re looking for a new companion that will make you laugh, Samantha is the girl for you! Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.

Story
Hello all potential adopters! I would like you to meet an extremely beautiful and very smart girl named Ziggie Zelda - a Border Collie mix. She is approximately 5 years old and weighs 35 pounds. Ziggie is the perfect medium sized dog for outdoor fun! Her fur is tri colored (mostly black and white with tan “accents”) and luxuriously soft.    Ziggie enjoys the company of other dogs and appears to be ok with cats too! When meeting new humans (adults and children), it takes her a little time to feel comfortable. It also should be mentioned that Ziggie does have anxiety, so exercise is important. A fenced in yard works out well for that purpose and for playing fetch! This lovely girl is fine being left alone for short periods of time, but will bark loudly for awhile initially. So, apartments/condos are not the best fit. Her foster mommy recommends that her new family is home most of the time.   Leash walking is not a problem for this gal. She walks very nicely on a leash. Ziggie is also crate trained. She is currently working hard on her potty training and is almost there.   If you think this amazing and intelligent girl would be a good fit for your family, please fill out an application and Ziggie’s foster mommy will get back to you asap! An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. We verify rental policies and adhere to any regulations. Please ensure you understand those restrictions before choosing a dog.          June 14, 2024, 1:37 pm
