Story
Layla has been our girl since she was a puppy. Her birthday is December 10, 2019. She is our first baby, so making this decision to rehome her was very difficult, but ultimately we feel it is what is best for her. We do not have the space or fenced-in yard she deserves, and I am about to give birth to our second child. Layla is very laid back, with the occasional zoomies when she gets excited. She is the most loyal and loving pup. She is very good with children, extremely gentle. She doesn't always like when my toddler touches her, but she just gets up and walks away. She loves to give kisses and will lay in your lap if you let her. She knows basic commands, but could use some help with recall as she will run off if given the chance. A fenced-in yard would be best for her. We are hoping that her new family will be able to provide her with the space and love and attention that she deserves.

Story
Meet Lucas, a sweet little guy who's ready to find his forever home! Lucas is a 9lb, 10-month-old pup with the softest, most velvety fur—like a little bundle of cashmere. Not only is he adorable to look at, but he's also full of love just waiting to be shared. This gentle soul is timid when meeting new people, but with just a little patience and kindness, you'll watch him blossom right before your eyes. Once he knows he’s safe, he’ll be your little shadow—loyally following you from room to room, always wanting to be by your side. Whether you're working from home, doing chores, or just lounging on the couch, Lucas will be right there, soaking up your love and attention. He's great on a leash and enjoys going for walks. He also gets along wonderfully with the other dogs in his foster home, so he'd be happy with a furry sibling—but he’d also do well as your one and only, as long as he gets plenty of love and snuggles. Lucas hasn’t been around cats in his foster home, so we’re not sure how he’d react to them. Lucas is looking for a calm, loving home with someone who understands that shy dogs just need a little time to feel secure. Once he settles in, he’s incredibly affectionate, loyal, and devoted. If you’re looking for a sweet companion who will adore you endlessly, Lucas might just be your perfect match. Thank you for your interest in one of our furry kids! Adopting from Releash Atlanta means you will adopt a dog that has been fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped and medically cleared!! While we make our best guesses, we often don’t know what breeds our kiddos are made of. We cannot guarantee our guesses will always be right but CAN guarantee they are 100% good dogs! Our adoption fee is $350. **We only adopt to families in/around Atlanta, Ga (about a 1-2 hour perimeter)** If you are interested in any of our dogs, please visit https://releashatlanta.com/adoptable-dogs.php to either view more of their profile or to apply to adopt! Story
Loyal and loving companionMeet Piper – Sweet, Smart & Ready for Her Forever Home Piper is a loving, 4-year-old mixed-breed girl weighing 50 pounds, and she's looking for her forever family. Rescued after being abandoned at a dog park in poor condition, Piper has come a long way—blossoming into a loyal, affectionate, and incredibly smart companion. Piper has completed basic obedience training and we are now working on leash training. She knows all the essentials: sit, stay, lay down, leave it, and she has excellent recall. She's also fully potty trained and patiently sits while you place her food bowl down waits for a release command before eating—what a good girl! While Piper can be a little shy at first, she warms up quickly to new people in a home setting. Piper is a mix bread girl but with a personality of an Australian Shepherd or Cattle Dog smart, loyal, and full of heart. Piper would do best in a home without cats, she has done well with older kids. If you're looking for a devoted adventure buddy and a snuggle partner who will reward your patience with endless affection, Piper is your girl.  Check out Piper's videos: https://youtu.be/bcT5b2m90ek https://youtu.be/GwoQpSCIRSI For more videos and photos for Piper check out her social media on TikTok, YouTube and instagram @PawsNthegarden Age: 3 years old     Weight: 50 lbs   Temperament: Good with dogs and kids.   Training: Crate-trained, house trained, knows commands Vetting: Spayed, up to date on vaccines, HW negative For questions about Piper, please email: morgan7728@gmail.com  &#226&#128&#139 To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself.   July 11, 2025, 1:35 pm

Story
Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Atlanta, GA Meet Hudson Fox! He is an 2 year old Australian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog mix and weighs between 45-50 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Hudson Fox is nervous around strangers! He hasn’t been tested around kids. He is good with cats! No dogs, due to his reactivity! He is housebroken and crate-trained. Hudson Fox has bitten 3 people. He bit the owner in May 2023 when they attempted to put a muzzle on him while at the vet clinic. He bit the owner’s friend on the hand in May 2024 when meeting him for the first time. Hudson Fox also bit the owner in October 2024 when they attempted to clean his paws after he had an accident in the house. The owner is surrendering him because of his severe anxiety. He also needs an environment with a fenced-in yard, so he can run. He needs to go ASAP! If you think you can provide a great home for Hudson Fox, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $100 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Hudson Fox.
