Story
Ernie is a 41-pound, one-year-old Aussie Shepherd mix who was picked up as a stray by a shelter. Even though he got around just fine, they noticed his feet were deformed, making him look as if he were wearing UGG boots. Turns out his personality was just as cute, and he became a shelter favorite, and they lobbied hard to get him out. Our foster has him now and gives him a glowing report. He was immediately best friends with her younger dog and respectfully ignored their older dog, which was not a fan. He is housetrained and good in a crate. Loves people and would make a wonderful companion. If he sounds like the dog for you, please go to www.atlantalabrescue.com and apply. ##2600954##

Story
This is Spunky, I took her in from a friend who needed to find a new home for her, her original owner could no longer care for her, I’ve had her for a few months now but she is about 2 years old now. She didn’t have any shots or papers when I took her in, not spayed. She’s had some inside training with me but is more suited to being outside. Been very happy and friendly with me and my younger dogs but not so much with my older dogs, not sure how she feels about cats. You got to meet her to know her. I only ask for $20 because of the listing fee, I have collar and leash for her and other affects if you are interested in this adorable girl.

Story
Loyal and loving companionMeet Piper – Sweet, Smart & Ready for Her Forever Home Piper is a loving, 4-year-old mixed-breed girl weighing 50 pounds, and she's looking for her forever family. Rescued after being abandoned at a dog park in poor condition, Piper has come a long way—blossoming into a loyal, affectionate, and incredibly smart companion. Piper has completed basic obedience training and we are now working on leash training. She knows all the essentials: sit, stay, lay down, leave it, and she has excellent recall. She's also fully potty trained and patiently sits while you place her food bowl down waits for a release command before eating—what a good girl! While Piper can be a little shy at first, she warms up quickly to new people in a home setting. Piper is a mix bread girl but with a personality of an Australian Shepherd or Cattle Dog smart, loyal, and full of heart. Piper would do best in a home without cats, she has done well with older kids. If you're looking for a devoted adventure buddy and a snuggle partner who will reward your patience with endless affection, Piper is your girl.  Check out Piper's videos: https://youtu.be/bcT5b2m90ek https://youtu.be/GwoQpSCIRSI For more videos and photos for Piper check out her social media on TikTok, YouTube and instagram @PawsNthegarden Age: 3 years old     Weight: 50 lbs   Temperament: Good with dogs and kids.   Training: Crate-trained, house trained, knows commands Vetting: Spayed, up to date on vaccines, HW negative For questions about Piper, please email: morgan7728@gmail.com  &#226&#128&#139 To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself.   July 11, 2025, 1:35 pm

Story
Ginger is a sweet mature girl! Her owner could no longer take care of her and her best friend Bella. They arrived to the shelter on 12/3. Ginger is 8 years young and weighs in at 54 pounds. She truly is a lady and is great on a leash. She knows to sit when asked and takes her treats gently. Her and Bella are bonded do not leave each other's side. It is reported that she is dog friendly. Ginger and Bella sure could use a home. Would you give them a chance? Ask for ID# 15446 Run 853. She will not be spayed at the shelter due to her age. She will be micro-chipped upon adoption. She has tested negative for heart worm. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers.
