Story
Biscuit is a sweet, intelligent, and adventurous 3-year-old Australian Shepherd. We brought him home from a breeder as a puppy, and he loves swimming, exploring the yard, long walks, and all things outdoors. Due to a major life change, I am looking to rehome him through no fault of his own. Biscuit needs a child-free home with a couple or single adult, ideally a male, who can give him structure, patience, and continued training. He struggles with pretty severe anxiety and can get overwhelmed in new situations or on walks, so he needs someone dedicated on training and working with him in new environments and help him feel safe. The ideal adopter would have a yard and does not live in an apartment. He can live with another dog after a slow introduction, but dog parks are not a good fit. Biscuit is very loved, and I want the best match for him. He will be ready for adoption after January 1st.

Story
Luna is very energetic as most Aussies. She jumps and from Time to time can become food aggressive with my other dog. when off eating schedule. She is a sweet girl, affectionate loves treats and needs more leash testing. Ideally needs space to run. She loves to be brushed. Pictures are for her summer cut. Aussies shed. She is protective of her pet parents. Lovey kids but needs to be with bigger ones because she’s still young and jumps, but after initial contact she lays down so my / year old grandson can pet her. She’s good at vet and grooming appts. She’s a happy girl.

Story
Ernie is a 41-pound, one-year-old Aussie Shepherd mix who was picked up as a stray by a shelter. Even though he got around just fine, they noticed his feet were deformed, making him look as if he were wearing UGG boots. Turns out his personality was just as cute, and he became a shelter favorite, and they lobbied hard to get him out. Our foster has him now and gives him a glowing report. He was immediately best friends with her younger dog and respectfully ignored their older dog, which was not a fan. He is housetrained and good in a crate. Loves people and would make a wonderful companion. If he sounds like the dog for you, please go to www.atlantalabrescue.com and apply. ##2600954##

Story
Meet handsome Dakota! He was surrendered to the shelter on 10/29 because he was being destructive and someone in the family wasn't being very kind to him. It was noted that Dakota is dog-friendly, but he needs work on his house-training skills. The volunteers describe Dakota as very energetic and athletic. He is a herding dog breed who will do best in a family who can keep him physically and mentally stimulated. A destructive dog is often a bored dog with no structure. Crate training and lots of activity will do wonders for Dakota. He will sit briefly when asked, and is very jumpy when excited. He'll need someone patient and kind to work with him on basic manners. If you can meet Dakota's needs, please come meet him! With a little refinement, he'll make a wonderful BFF!! Dakota is approximately 10 months old, and weighs 51 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, and did test negative for heartworms. He will be neutered and microchipped upon adoption. Dakota is waiting in run 809; his ID # is 14720.
