Story
*Woof* I`m in a foster home. To meet me, reach out to my foster caregiver at adoptabledc@gmail.comFirst, Little Boy is not so little. He is 75 pounds of pure sweetness! We all LOVE this Big Boy and you will too. He is so perfect and handsome! He loves car rides and hanging his head out the window. He’s very cuddly and rolls fully onto his belly for snuggles and also stands up to give hugs. And he has that classic doggie howl which is so endearing. He’s very goofy and loves holding his leash to walk himself but also loves snuggling with a soft toy. He definitely seems smart - he`s potty trained and crate trained in his foster home - and he’ll be easy to train with positive training sessions. So if you love the big pooches who are cuddly and wonderful, then Little Boy is the dog for you!

Story
Tommy came from a high kill shelter in TX, where not many get out of. We saw pictures of him and thought what a stunning dog. Tommy is a typical herding dog and will stay right by your side. He loves to run and play and very smart. He would love a fenced in yard to play with a buddy. He loves walks around the neighborhood with his foster family. He does get a bit scared when cars go by and is learning they are not going to get him. He does not pull on a leash. Very sweet dog. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out as the foster mum would love to tell you more. If you are interested in this handsome fellow please email us at Doginghamrescue@aol.com so we can send you an application. We are based in the Nashville, TN area and have most of our dogs transported up north. The $450 includes the adoption and transport fee (will have a health certificate too). The transport fee is not refundable if things do not work out.

Story
Koda is the kind of dog that makes you stop mid-sentence and say, “Wow.” This 11-month-old chocolate merle Aussie/Border Collie mix is an absolute head-turner with his striking chocolate patches, bright intelligent eyes, and long, silky coat that practically begs to be petted. At 51 pounds, he’s a strong, athletic young guy who is still very much a puppy at heart. Koda recently lost the only home he knew when a young couple separated, and through no fault of his own, he found himself needing a fresh start. Despite the change, his spirit remains happy, playful, and full of life. He’s a funny, endearing boy who even enjoys watching cartoons while his people are away — it keeps him entertained and makes for some pretty adorable stories. He is housebroken and absolutely thrives with other dogs his size who enjoy playing as hard as he does. Koda loves to romp, wrestle, and burn off that classic herding-breed energy. He’ll happily be your outdoor adventure buddy — hiking, running, playing fetch, exploring — and at the end of the day, he transforms into your loyal protector and total love muffin. On leash, he’s doing well but would benefit from continued guidance to perfect his heeling and timing. As a smart and agile herding mix, Koda will flourish in a structured, dog-savvy home that understands the needs of intelligent working breeds. He needs consistency, leadership, and a predictable routine with dependable people who are committed to him for the long haul. He has already lost one home — he doesn’t need to lose another. A fenced yard would be wonderful for him, or an active apartment home committed to long walks, runs, dog park visits, and regular mental stimulation. Herding breed experience is strongly preferred, as Koda will thrive with someone who understands how to channel his intelligence and energy into positive outlets. This bright, beautiful boy is worth every ounce of time and training — the reward will be years of loyalty, laughter, and adventure. If you are ready to give Koda the stable, loving future he deserves, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com. We are based in Nashville, TN and transport to northeastern states every weekend. Koda is ready NOW.    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com February 18, 2026, 6:23 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Zara! I am a beautiful gray and white 3-year-old Australian Shepherd Poodle mix. While ladies typically don’t disclose their weight, I am about 50 lbs. If you are a smart and active person or couple looking to adopt a dog with a similar temperament, then we could be a great match! I love going for walks and would appreciate having someone who can incorporate that into my daily routine. Getting outside for exercise is something I enjoy, and I would also make an excellent running companion. Visiting the park or going on hikes would be a lot of fun, too! Not to brag, but I believe I'm quite a looker, and I’m confident that if you took me to the park, we would make lots of friends together. While I love people, I am not used to being around other dogs, so a dog park wouldn’t be suitable for me. However, I’m always up for hanging out where the people are! I’m also a bit too energetic for young children; I sometimes forget that I'm bigger than they are and might accidentally knock them over. It would be wonderful if someone in the household could work from home, as I am crate-trained but don't like spending long hours alone. I thrive on human interaction and am seeking a loving home.  I promise to return your love! If you would like to be considered for my forever family, please contact Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com. Please note that an approved application and adoption fee are required. (I am currently in Tennessee but can be transported north upon adoption.)    July 30, 2025, 9:47 pm

Story
Stella is a friendly and intelligent dog with plenty of energy. We want her to be happy and have a space where she can run around and play with other dogs. Previously, Stella lived in the mountains of Colorado, where she enjoyed a large fenced yard and had lots of friends to play with. Now, she is living in a townhouse without a yard, which has been challenging for her. As a very active young lady, she is currently feeling unhappy. Stella is a mix of Australian Cattle Dog, Husky, German Shepherd, and Golden Retriever, and she is expected to weigh around 30 pounds. She is a loving and eager-to-learn dog who picks up new skills quickly. Stella would be an amazing agility dog, as this would engage both her mind and her need for physical activity. If agility training isn't your interest, she would also thrive in an active lifestyle with an avid walker, hiker, or runner.  Stella is a very quick learner and was immediately fully potty trained.     To ensure the best for Stella, her new owners should have a yard or live on a farm, and it would be great if they have another dog and children.  Stella has plenty of energy to add playing at home to her list of activities.    Stella has been spayed and is current on all her shots until May 2026.  To be considered for her forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Stella is currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.)  July 30, 2025, 9:47 pm

Story
Teddy is a well trained lovely dog. He was owned by my daughter and her husband but he gets very agitated with infants and toddlers. My husband and I have been caring for Teddy but we are having health problems and can no longer care for him. He is not a high energy dog. He likes to catch frisbees and loves to be with adults.
