Story
We are trying to help this sweet girl called Bonnie Belle to find a home since her elderly parents are in failing health and cannot care for their five dogs.  Bonnie Belle is a mix of some interesting breeds.  We think she has some Aussie and maybe Boxer in her.  The Australian Shepherd trait is what makes her a protector of the yard and home when strangers approach.  She is the home security dog officer!   This girl is losing her home because her elderly parents have fallen into bad health.  Bonnie Belle is 4 years old and weighs a little over 40 pounds.  She adores people and is good with the other dogs that she spends time with in the fenced yard.  She is housebroken, affectionate and a devoted girl to her family.  If you would like to give Bonnie her next forever home, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue who is helping her at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.June 12, 2024, 2:32 pm

Story
Lora Lee is a very sweet dog that is just 2 years old and weighs 35 pounds.  She is said to be an Aussie mix with some Terrier.  Whatever the mix is we think she is a most unusual and truly a beautiful girl who well with other dogs in her foster home.  She is a friend to all and apparently she is house trained as long as taken out regular. Lola Lee is crate trained but cannot be left for long hours in the crate.  She is not leash trained  but is trying to improve.   We are requesting that applicants have a fenced yard for her because she is an active girl that needs to run and play with freedom and not at the end of a leash only. This beauty loves to cuddle and be by your side like your BFF and shadow. If you have another dog that would be great for her to have a playmate that can help her wear out her energy every day.  Lola Lee is a great girl and she is going to need an active family that can challenge and meet her need for exercise and be able to keep up with her.   She is really not a dog for a retirement couple that are ready to have a more laidback dog with fewer exercise demands.  If you are interested in this girl please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.June 12, 2024, 2:32 pm

Story
Our precious little Australian Shepherd girl is called Calista and she was found on a very obscure country back road and had apparently been running for days and maybe longer.  She was so scared and the country neighbors that saw her day after day running with such confusion, finally cornered her in a ditch and caught her to stop the fright and flight pattern she had been chasing. This little girl is 5 months old and weighs 18 pounds.  She is learning that her foster home is just so much fun with their other dog to play with and we feel that this girl should have a partner dog to grow older with .   A fenced yard is a must for this active herding breed girl.  This sweet girl is just a cuddle bug and she hangs out just fine with cats as well as dogs and of course her favorite humans...even  a 4 year old busy, active little boy.  We also know that she is good with the chickens and goats that roam the foster mini-farm.   She is a true beauty and has apparently all the standard Australian Shepherd traits that denote a purebred dog.  How she came to be dumped is beyond our comprehension.  These days the dog abandonment is on a huge rise and curve that leaves us so puzzled.  She will not be more than a 40 pound girl when fully grown. A tri-colored Aussie girl with a kind spirit and a softness in life.   If you are interested, please contact us via email and ask for an adoption form.  ccrnewengland@gmail.com    She is ready to go!!! PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 12, 2024, 2:32 pm

Story
This is Blue Eyed Lola and she came to our rescue as a very starved nursing momma dog with 6 puppies draining her daily while nursing.  She had been a stray with no food provided for her as she tried to keep her babies alive.  She has now put back on her weight and a tad more than needed but she is safe and loved and trying to find her new family to love.  She is a timid but extremely calm girl that is an Aussie mix with the prettiest blue eyes.  She just wants to belong to someone and her foster mom is so touched by her sweet soul and how she tries to almost be invisible in life and not be a problem.  She needs some confidence building and some training that will make her feel smart!  She is good with other dogs and very submissive to them.  She is just fine with cats and almost completely housebroken.  We love our little Blue Eyed Lola and want the rest of her life to be easy and for her to a treasured part of someone’s family or even a single person’s BFF.  She is great on a leash and rides very well in a car.  She is ready to explore life with someone that wants her to come along.  Lola will be forever grateful to have a chance to love you.  Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested.  Let us know where you live:  city and state. Story
We are pleased to offer a truly adorable and well socialized Aussie Doodle puppy named Andy to the world of dog lovers.   He was surrendered by an overwhelmed breeder who was getting out of the breeding business.  He and his siblings have been raised around young children, other dogs and he has emerged as a fully vetted and neutered young puppy.  Andy is smart and listens really well to the discipline from his foster mom.  He has learned basics like sit, wait, back away and OK as a command to go ahead and eat.  Andy is not a hyperactive puppy or a crazy Doodle like some can be.  But we do want an active and exercise oriented family to adopt him to better provide him with the best match for his breed of Australian Shepherd and Poodle.  He is currently 12 pounds and will not be much bigger than 45-50 pounds when fully grown.  Crate trained and almost housebroken, he will need a skilled or eager to learn family who will polish him into a real diamond of a dog.  If you are interested please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com ASAP! Luckily, he is with K-9 Lifesavers now and is hoping to find a home where he will be loved forever.  He is a very nice boy, but was very scared being in the shelter. All George wants is to have his home life back again with someone who cares. He is a smart fella and already knows some commands - sit , down and come. He loves his toys and affection from his people and will do best with older kids. He is also house and crate trained, but he is not always a fan of his crate and will let you know. All in all, George is a sweet boy who deserves a loving home, so why not fill out an application today and consider sharing yours with this lovable guy.Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.       Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life.
