Oliver is a young 3.5 year old mini Australian Shepherd, we raised him since he was just about 2 months old. He is has been a great boy and learnt a lot, he is a quick learner and needs lots of attention. We love him but unfortunately dont have the time to care for him anymore due to the fact that we own another dog and have busy schedules. Oliver needs a spacious home and lots of grass to run around in. We prefer Oliver to be the only pet in the house because he needs a lot of time and gets jealous, although Oliver does love kids so that is also important for us. We have children and Oliver gets along with them and plays so nicely. Our goal for Oliver is to join a family that can give him an amazing life and care for all his needs. In Ewing: Casper is a 2 year old super sweet big ball of fluff. He’s almost 60 pounds. He’s fully vetted and has been neutered. He is great with other dogs and plays with my other foster for hours. He is sweet with my 3 yr old granddaughter and plays well with the standard female. He is NOT good with cats or other small creatures like raccoons and opossums. He has had a rough start in life. His original owner is in hospice. The hospice coordinator took him to her parents but dad is in a wheelchair and he got loose and hit by a car. They paid for his leg to be fixed but knew they weren’t the right placement. Casper can run like the wind as you would expect a 2 yr old Aussie to do and needs a family to keep up with his energy. A fenced in yard is preferred. Say hello to Theo, a 2-year-old Australian Shepherd mix with the softest ears and at the sweetest personality. Theo is happiest when hes getting lots of attention, lots of activity, and lots of treats. Theo is afraid of other dogs he doesn't know, so he would thrive in a quieter, rural or suburban home with a fenced yard and few canine neighbors, where he can relax, explore, and not run into dogs around every corner. He has gotten along well with other resident dogs--he just needs a slow, careful introduction period. Hes a classic herding dog wants to be by your side and wants to join you in the garden in the summer and in the garage in the winter. He would do well with an experienced dog owner, and even better with someone who has experience with and love for herding dogs. He is good with all humans, whether friends or strangers, but he is shy at first. Once hes comfortable, Theos true personality shines: *Eager to pleaseand loves to learn*Loves a good stuffed boneor an antlerand isnt a counter surfer*Housebrokenand doesnt see the point of a crate *Enjoys hikesand keeping the yard free of chipmunks*Favorite phrase:Lets go! Theo is currently in Jersey City, NJ, but city life isnt his thing, as close encounters with other dogs make him anxious. When he feels overwhelmed, he will bark or lunge, so in the city he wears a basket muzzle on walks as a precaution to prevent an inadvertent bite from his reactivity or redirection. He has lived with another dog before and might do well with the right match, but hed be perfectly happy as an only pet in a consistent home where he can just be himself. Theo has not been cat tested. Pay no attention to breed here….Ms. Beary is a mix of so many breeds - we stopped counting at 15 breeds so we just say she the best of ALL the breeds! Ms. Beary Berries is 75 lbs, and about 5 years old. She is crate trained and house-trained. She also walks well on the leash. She is great with people and with children. Beary is very bonded to her daughter, Blue Berries however she is dog selective otherwise. She tends to be an Alpha and her reaction to other dogs depends more on their dominance. For this reason it would be best if the Berries were the only two dogs in their home. Ms. Beary is part of a bonded pair so she will need to stick her with her daughter Blue Berry. She is a similar size and is listed for adoption as well. Interested in becoming a forever home for Beary Berries? Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed.
