Meet adorable and loving Jude. He was rescued from the Avenal animal shelter in CA, where he spent an agonizing nine months-over 274 days-locked away. At just six months old, he faced a year of confinement that could be likened to seven years in human terms. The boredom and distress he experienced are unimaginable. Now that Jude is out of the shelter, he is learning and adapting, but he has a long way to go. He has been doing so great at training and you can definitely see such wonderful results from the training program! We’ve seen amazing progress at the training facility. He is now looking for his forever home or foster. is done with his training and doing so well! He was in a program for about 60 days and has proven to be ready for a foster or adoptive home. Trainers are able to give some sessions to show what he has learned! He would love to be in his new home for the new year. Jude is 1.5 years old, neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. Jude is currently still in San Jose but plans to transport as soon as we have a foster or adopter. Jude is VERY dog friendly and his adoption includes one on one training sessions with you. He would do best with older children but is good with people and has learned to be open to his new surroundings. Jude walks well on a leash, is house trained and he can’t wait to meet you! Jude is a tall handsome boy that just need a chance. Jude has graduated his training program and looking for a great home. My uncle took in Pepper from someone who abandoned her. Given his chronic pain & low monthly budget, she needs rehoming. She has some accidents in the home, this would be curbed w/ training & regular walks. We have found that she has seizures at night. The seizures don't seem life threatening, but are disorienting. She has never been formally diagnosed & was in-heat last week. Pepper can be aloof & likes to settle down for long naps on a made bed. She is like a cat that wants to lay in the sun. She doesn't seem to know how to play with toys. She can be around other dogs, but it's hard to read if she enjoys playing with them. She is definitely fine w/ low energy dogs. She seems scared of big dogs while on walks. Pepper is a sweetie for sure. She enjoys pets. Her favorite thing is to be talked to sweetly while receiving pets. Pepper has responded positively to calm, patient, attentive care. Overall, to thrive she just needs a loving home & to be cared for with patience & kindness.

This is Max. I have had him for 5 years now. He is one of the sweetest boys. You have ever met. He has been with me since my son was born. He loves children loves people. You would never think that he would hate dogs. He does not like other adult dogs. He become possessive and aggressive with people around other dogs. I don't know where it came from. He was like that since I got him. But as of right now, he does not get along with my husband's too older senior dogs. He has bitten them over nothing. It's been very difficult and a big struggle to make this decision. However, once she calms down, she’s okay with brushing and nail trimming. It's also possible to give her a bath or dry her if you soothe her through it. * Walk: Is timid and doesn't walk ahead. Rather, she tends to follow from behind without pulling on the leash. Doesn’t get excited when she sees other animals like dogs, cats, or birds. Sometimes tries to bolt to get away from people during walks, so using a double leash is a must! * Likes other dog friends and enjoys spending time with them. * Is scared when people suddenly try to touch her, or if they make large movements.

Sweet, silly, Gage was not given much care in his previous life. He came to us underweight, with a lot of hair loss and teeth badly damaged. Since being rescued he is filling out nicely, had a dental and his hair is growing back well. He is a cutie! Gage has been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. He is feeling soo much better. He is ready for his forever home. Approx 2years old, 36lbs. Gage is crate trained, potty trained and good with confident dogs on a case by case basis. cats not recommended since he is a herding breed. Gage loves to play fetch and would love to have a big backyard. Very trainable. Would likely do well in dog sports. He also loves a full body cuddle on the couch.
