Story
From his foster: “Ralphie – Your Adventure Co-Star1 year old | 48 lbs | Australian Shepherd MixRalphie is the kind of dog who forms deep bonds and wants to truly be part of your life. He’s intelligent, expressive, and athletic — a classic working-breed mix who thrives when he has structure, purpose, and connection. At one year old, and still figuring out the world, he can be sensitive in new situations and has shown some fear-based reactivity in the past. The good news? With structure and training, he has been making wonderful progress and building confidence every single day. He is looking for experienced, steady leadership to help him continue that upward trajectory. He would do best in:• An adult-only home (no young children)• An active household that enjoys walks, hikes, and enrichment• A secure yard (he’s athletic and curious!)• A home with breed experience and commitment to continued training    ##2622392##

Story
Kai is a 5-year-old Mini Australian Shepherd with a big heart and lots of love to give. He is vaccinated, very friendly, and gets along great with both kids and other dogs. Kai is an energetic and playful dog who loves walks, playtime, and being part of everyday life. He’s also very people-oriented and forms strong bonds with his humans. He would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time, as he doesn’t like being alone for long periods. Kai is looking for a loving, responsible home where he can be treated as a true family member and get the attention and companionship he needs.

Story
Sweet, silly,  Gage was not given much care in his previous life. He came to us underweight, with a lot of hair loss and teeth badly damaged. Since being rescued he is filling out nicely, had a dental and his hair is growing back well. He is a cutie! Gage has been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. He is feeling soo much better. He is ready for his forever home. Approx 2years old, 36lbs.  Gage is crate trained, potty trained and good with confident dogs on a case by case basis. cats not recommended since he is a herding breed. Gage loves to play fetch and would love to have a big backyard. Very trainable. Would likely do well in dog sports. He also loves a full body cuddle on the couch.  Apply today to meet Gage, herding breed experience preferred but not required.  All adult dogs are given a 2 week trial adoption with potential adopters. To insure its a good fit for pup and people.

Story
Ru is a tri-pawd mini American Sheppard and Australian Sheppard mix. She has been with us for the last 6 years, since she was a puppy and is a part of our family. She is very loving, loyal, and always up for an adventure A year ago, Ru lost her leg due to a freak accident that required amputation. She has recovered fully and loves playing frisbee and ball. She has no clue she used to have 4 legs! Also a year ago, her humans had a baby. The combination of these two things has made Ru a little more anxious - if you know aussies, they are high anxiety dogs as it is - and we just feel we aren’t giving her the attention or life she deserves. Ru would be best suited for a household that has no other dogs (cats are fine) and the family has a lot of time for walks, cuddles, and play. She does well with children, and with all humans in general. She does not get along with other dogs.

Story
Meet Quarry - URGENT FOSTER NEEDED! We'd love to get him into a loving home ASAP and we also need to make some moves in which dogs are where, so we're hoping someone will step up to take this guy in! Quarry is one of five young Aussie pups we rescued from a puppy mill situation in Eastern WA. Like the others, he suffered porcupine quill injuries—but his were the worst we’ve ever seen. This poor boy even had quills down his throat. When we found him, Quarry was starving, in pain, and desperately pawing at his face to try to escape the agony. It broke our hearts. The good news? He’s been to the vet, the quills are gone, and he’s on the road to recovery. At the rescue kennel, he’s started taking food from our hands (pill pockets are his favorite!). But Quarry is still very shy—understandable after the trauma he’s endured. Now we need your help. Quarry needs a patient foster home with no cats, where he can finally leave the kennel behind, learn to trust again, and discover what it means to be safe and loved. If you can open your heart and home to this sweet, gentle soul, please fill out a foster application today at RedWagginRescue.org The sooner we find him a foster, the sooner he can heal—inside and out. *************************************************************** ADOPTION INFO Dog adoption fees include: - All Basic Dog Vaccinations - Rabies - Bordetella - Flea & Tick Treatment - Spay (Up to $400) - Neuter (Up to $300) - Microchip & Registration All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs and cats in our rescue. Australian Shepherd Mixed Breed (Medium)

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Ren is a 1 year old, likely mini Aussie/spaniel mix and is just a gorgeous small-medium boy at just 29 lbs. Ren started out with us so very quiet and sweet, and learning to trust this big new world! Ren was surrendered to the rescue and his life was quite limited, very small and not much exposure up until now. Ren is now learning about living in a home, with a safe yard for playtime, good healthy food and how good life as a regular family member can feel. Ren has now had time to decompress and is really opening up - he has shown a lot of affection and kisses now, seeks out his foster mom for affirmation that he is doing well or if something makes him nervous. And, he has proven to be quite a ball dog and will drop or toss the ball back to you for even more fun! Ren is wired to be an athlete and truly enjoys chasing his ball and stretching his legs! He would do well with an active owner who understands the herding breeds need to move and get appropriate mental stimulation. While loving and gentle, this boy is not simply a couch potato! While Ren is doing well now he's had time to adjust to his current foster home, he will still need a person or family who will give him the time to decompress and realize he is safe when adopted- people that make him feel safe! Ren is completely potty pad trained, but will go when outside as well. Simply, he has just spent a lot of time up to now alone with no other potty options. All that has now changed for the better and Ren is looking for his life partner to see how really wonderful life is here in the PNW. Due to his breed and his tendency to run from scary things in this big new world, Ren will be adopted to someone with a fully fenced secure yard of at least 6' in height. Ren is vaccinated and Microchipped and is now neutered included in his adoption donation.

These pups are in Newcastle, Washington too!
