Story
Australian Shepherd/ Lab is the closest breed we can guess on her. Sorry we don't have good photos of sweet Sally. She was in foster in Texas since a puppy! She is totally trained with playing with a playgroup of dogs several times/day. Finally her turn at about 2 years to be adopted. ! House and potty trained!!! woof woof. Super affectionate sweet loving dog. She is a little shy at first, but opens up quickly. Has done great with other all other dogs even young puppies when done with proper introductions. She is with a rescue that is friends of Lufkin TX Kurth Memorial Animal Shelter friends. loving sweet sweet pup t is nearly impossible to say the breeds but her brother did have some Great Pyrenees in his DNA test. All of her siblings were adopted as puppies, its long been Sally's time to find her FOREVER home. https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application/ If interested we would have you speak with her rescuer. Many dogs are impossible to say the breeds but it is anyone's guess. As we know, mutts statistically speaking will live longer and have less vet bills!. All of our Lufkin Kurth Texas dogs were hand selected and are literally their favorites. Everyone who has adopted adores their dogs. She will totally win you over. , Please do apply!!! All our dogs are spay/neutered, current on DHPP and rabies shots, microchipped, tested hw negative, so all of that is done. Our adoptions include professional dog rescue transport to WA and health certificates (vet visit just prior to coming to WA). Any questions, please email us at shaynesrescue@gmail.com Best to include your phone number and good times to call too!

Story
Meet Ida, a gentle 5-year-old sweetheart who’s ready for a fresh start and a soft place to land. This 64-pound, black, white, and tan beauty—possibly an Australian Shepherd mix—has clearly been through a lot. She has some worn teeth, sensitive skin due to flea allergies, and is currently being treated for a skin infection. Despite all that, Ida’s spirit is incredibly kind and trusting. She leans into affection, quietly seeking the comfort and stability she’s been missing. With consistent preventative care, good nutrition, and a little patience, Ida has every chance to feel better and truly thrive.Ida’s heart is as big as her gentle presence. She came to the shelter with a smaller dog and will likely do well with calm canine companions, especially other small dogs. What she needs most now is someone who will be in her corner—keeping her healthy, safe, and loved. In return, Ida offers unwavering sweetness and loyalty. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will blossom with the right care, Ida is ready to be your girl. The dog adoption fee is $110. They come spayed/neutered, microchipped, first set of vaccines including DAPP (parvo combo), Bordatella (kennel cough), have been dewormed with Pyrantel, and have been treated with selamectin for fleas. Our website updates every hour, but some animals may be adopted faster than we can get them updated online. If you`d like to check on the status of an animal, please call us at 360-352-2510. This is especially important if you are viewing this animal on any site other than Animal Services` website.

Story
We’re helping a loved dog find a home that better fits her needs 🤍 This is Babka, a 2-year-old Mini Australian Shepherd mix with a big personality and a lot of love to give. She’s incredibly smart, eager to engage, and forms strong bonds with her people. Babka thrives on attention, activity, and structure. She has not had much formal training yet, so she would do best with an experienced dog owner who has the time and patience to help her learn and feel safe and settled. She struggles with separation anxiety and can be nervous and easily overstimulated, especially in busy environments. Because of this, Babka would be happiest in a home without small children. A calmer environment will help her feel more secure and set her up for success. With the right support, she has so much potential to be a loyal and deeply connected companion. This decision wasn’t made lightly—her family cares deeply about her and wants the very best for her future.

What a doll! Lucy is the sweetest pup! She loves spending time with her people, snuggling or going on adventures together. Lucy does great in the car and is such a wonderful companion on hikes or trips to the café, farmers market or even camping. She's a very smart girl and is so eager to please. She has done well around other dogs and cats, though young children make her a bit nervous. Truly, this lovely girl is an absolute gem!

Story
From his foster: “Ralphie – Your Adventure Co-Star1 year old | 48 lbs | Australian Shepherd MixRalphie is the kind of dog who forms deep bonds and wants to truly be part of your life. He’s intelligent, expressive, and athletic — a classic working-breed mix who thrives when he has structure, purpose, and connection. At one year old, and still figuring out the world, he can be sensitive in new situations and has shown some fear-based reactivity in the past. The good news? With structure and training, he has been making wonderful progress and building confidence every single day. He is looking for experienced, steady leadership to help him continue that upward trajectory. He would do best in:• An adult-only home (no young children)• An active household that enjoys walks, hikes, and enrichment• A secure yard (he’s athletic and curious!)• A home with breed experience and commitment to continued training    ##2622392##
