Story
Meet adorable and loving Jude. He was rescued from the Avenal animal shelter in CA, where he spent an agonizing nine months-over 274 days-locked away. At just six months old, he faced a year of confinement that could be likened to seven years in human terms. The boredom and distress he experienced are unimaginable. Now that Jude is out of the shelter, he is learning and adapting, but he has a long way to go. He has been doing so great at training and you can definitely see such wonderful results from the training program! We’ve seen amazing progress at the training facility. He is now looking for his forever home or foster. is done with his training and doing so well! He was in a program for about 60 days and has proven to be ready for a foster or adoptive home. Trainers are able to give some sessions to show what he has learned! He would love to be in his new home for the new year. Jude is 1.5 years old, neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. Jude is currently still in San Jose but plans to transport as soon as we have a foster or adopter. Jude is VERY dog friendly and his adoption includes one on one training sessions with you. He would do best with older children but is good with people and has learned to be open to his new surroundings. Jude walks well on a leash, is house trained and he can’t wait to meet you! Jude is a tall handsome boy that just need a chance. Jude has graduated his training program and looking for a great home. Please apply so we can help this boy stay on his training routine and make your life better! Please contact Priscilla at packlyferescue@yahoo.com.

Story
Axel is a mix of an Australian Shepherd and Rottweiler, born on March 23, 2021. He is a smart, and energetic dog who excels at learning new commands and enjoys being outdoors. He is a very anxious dog by nature but responds well to training. We have worked with professional trainers, and he’s shown great progress, especially in learning new commands. Axel has had some resource-guarding tendencies in the past. We feel that Axel would be better suited to a home without small children to avoid any resource guarding issues that may reappear. He does do good with children though as he has grown up around our 8yr old and now our 1yr old. He does well with other dogs, loves playing at doggy daycare, and thrives in outdoor spaces. He’s not the cuddliest dog but will join you on adventures and occasionally seek affection on his own.

Story
Marley was rescued from a pound in Okanogan County. He was free roaming the reservations over there. He is not cat friendly but likes other dogs. He is active and loves to play fetch but does get distracted easily. He loves cuddles and does have some separation anxiety when he can't be with his people. He isn't a leash puller but needs some training on how to walk on a leash. More on the submissive side of temperament. We just had him neutered and he is up to date on vaccines!

Story
Hi, my name is Comet and I would love to meet you. I have been at the shelter since Apr 29, 2025. There’s no better place than cuddled up close to my human on the comfiest couch. I’m the kind of dog that enjoys an easy-going lifestyle. Movie marathons, binge-watching shows, designated nap times, and regular pets are some of my favorite activities to do with my people!

Story
Hi there! My name is Baer! I was surrendered to RASKC by my owner and now I`m looking for a new home! I`m a young and energetic boy who has not had a ton of socialization so far. I was previously kept as a mostly outdoor dog and haven`t gotten to meet a lot of new people in my life. Because of this, I can be a little skeptical at first. Once I warm up, I`m wiggly and playful like any other puppy! I seem to especially enjoy playing with water and always make my way to the pool in the yard here at the shelter! I am 45lbs and a little chunky. My new family will want to work with their vet to determine an ideal weight for me. I am considered a medium sized dog. I am a spirited dog with a fun-loving personality! I am still working on my manners, so I would do best with a family who is willing to work with me and help me become the best dog I can be!
