Story
Hi, my name is Ray and I would love to meet you. I have been at the shelter since Aug 16, 2024. I can be a bit of an introverted pup. I like having my own space at times and prefer quiet time with my person or people compared to big social gatherings. I have a lot of love to give, you just have to give me a little bit of time to show it all to you!

Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. SAM is the most outgoing of this litter. He was the chosen one to go with the Foster to her Yoga class and get handled by all the ladies. He loved every minute. He loves to be held and cuddled and especially to get tummy rubs. This is the sweetest litter of possible Australian Shepherd mix. DOB is 2/28/24. We expect them to be about 30#s when grown. They all love to play with each other, toys, and people. They are crate trained and they are getting accustomed to a collar and leash. These will make great family pets. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You can ask us about how pre-adoption works and our "trial period." If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from their foster family or the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at shaynerescue@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to WA/OR. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/ This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Story
We rescued Floki when he was a couple months old. He was given to a rescue because the mini Aussie puppy mill couldn’t sell him with his elbow defects. He will be 6 years old this August and has lived such a happy and healthy life with our family. Hes been spoiled rotten and has picked up some naughty behaviors like jumping up and licking your face all over, barking at delivery trucks and doorbells, territorial over food and taking up 1/3 of the bed. He was on daily pain medication when he was young and active to help his elbow dysplasia but now operates without it due to his increased lazy lifestyle that comes with age. He is otherwise healthy and any arthritis he has does not affect his quality of life. He would not do well with daily walks unless you started him on pain medication again. We will wait for the right home for beloved Floki and he is starting to become impatient with the toddlers and Im afraid he will begin biting since he started nipping recently.
