Story
Meet adorable and loving Jude. He was rescued from the Avenal animal shelter in CA, where he spent an agonizing nine months-over 274 days-locked away. At just six months old, he faced a year of confinement that could be likened to seven years in human terms. The boredom and distress he experienced are unimaginable. Now that Jude is out of the shelter, he is learning and adapting, but he has a long way to go. He has been doing so great at training and you can definitely see such wonderful results from the training program! We’ve seen amazing progress at the training facility. He is now looking for his forever home or foster. is done with his training and doing so well! He was in a program for about 60 days and has proven to be ready for a foster or adoptive home. Trainers are able to give some sessions to show what he has learned! He would love to be in his new home for the new year. Jude is 1.5 years old, neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. Jude is currently still in San Jose but plans to transport as soon as we have a foster or adopter. Jude is VERY dog friendly and his adoption includes one on one training sessions with you. He would do best with older children but is good with people and has learned to be open to his new surroundings. Jude walks well on a leash, is house trained and he can’t wait to meet you! Jude is a tall handsome boy that just need a chance. Jude has graduated his training program and looking for a great home. Please apply so we can help this boy stay on his training routine and make your life better! Please contact Priscilla at packlyferescue@yahoo.com.

Story
Meet Nova — 17 lbs of Mystery Mix Magic! DOB: 3/5/23 Breed: Super Mutt (Spaniel mix? Mini Aussie? Long‑haired Chi mix? Your guess is as good as ours!) Sex: Male Weight: 17 lbs Status: Unclaimed stray Neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped Nova is the kind of dog who makes everyone smile — partly because he’s adorable, and partly because no one can quite figure out what he is. Some see Spaniel. Some swear he’s a Mini Aussie. Others are convinced he’s a long‑haired Chihuahua mix. Whatever his DNA cocktail may be, one thing is certain: he’s absolutely precious. With soft white curls and warm orange highlights, Nova looks like he stepped out of a storybook. But it’s his personality that seals the deal. Nova is an active, social, people‑loving boy who fits beautifully into a variety of homes. He’s great with dogs, cats, and has been tested with children (9+ years old). He loves attention, enjoys being part of the action, and is happiest when he’s included in family life. He came to us as an unclaimed stray, but he’s ready to leave that chapter behind and start fresh with a family who will adore him. Nova’s Ideal Home: • Active or moderately active • Enjoys walks, playtime, and companionship • Has other friendly pets (optional but welcome) • Wants a sweet, social, easy‑to‑love companion If you’re looking for a small dog with a big heart — and the cutest curls you’ve ever seen — Nova may be your perfect match. Apply to meet Nova and let this little mystery mix brighten your world. For Western WA adopters: We will be meeting approved adopters in Ellensburg within the next 1–2 weeks. If you are unable to travel east, we will do our best to coordinate a volunteer hand‑off closer to your area. For Eastern WA adopters: Approved adopters may meet in either the Moses Lake or Omak area. Adoption application link (copy/paste): https://forms.gle/PUKXrshWYAVhGCYE6

Story
Meet Pazoomi! He is 4 years old and a giant goof ball. He had a great start at training as a puppy, but didn't get the consistency he deserved, so his skills and manners are pretty messy at the moment. He is a bit of a tank, excitable and isn't quite sure where his body is in space, so he often bumps into things. Our 11year old border Collie never took to him, but it was manageable when we had acreage and lots of space to run. We recently had to move and now have no yard. He and my older dog get into growl fests and due to health problems combined with his pulling, I'm not able to help him get the exercise and activity he deserves. He is a wonderful boy, but needs an active family who can finish his training with patience and love and give him lots of space to run and play. He has grown up with cats, but looks at them a bit intensely, so I would proceed with caution around cats. Negotiable fee for a home nearby where we could visit or meet up for hikes with his new people sometimes.
