Story
Jax is a 3-year-old Australian Shepherd with a big heart, lots of energy, and an affectionate, playful personality. He loves walks, fetch, chew toys, dog bones, cuddling, and being the center of attention, and his signature Aussie “butt wiggle” is sure to make you smile. Due to limited socialization with his first two owners, he struggles with other dogs and would do best as the ONLY pet in a patient, experienced home. He thrives on companionship and would especially benefit from a household with two or more people who can share in giving him the attention, structure, and ongoing socialization he needs. Jax is neutered, healthy, knows basic commands like sit and high five, and is eager to continue learning. While I love him dearly, I’m unable to provide the time and consistency he deserves, and I’m committed to finding him a safe, loving forever home where he can truly thrive. Please reach out by email or leave a voicemail if you're interested, I will respond as soon as possible :)

Story
Darrow is full of energy and fun. Loves to play fetch and even run on a treadmill. He love toys that squeak must be tough to avoid fluff everywhere. He needs a good yard to run and play in. He has no problem with cats, but he loves to try and chase them to play. He has currently been living with small children but would do better with out children. Active and lively household would be great. He does not do well with other dogs. Must be an only dog. He was attacked as a puppy at a dog park and will be on high alert near any other dog. He knows all his basic commands. (Sit, stay, lay down, roll over, shake.) House trained, Crate-trained. He does have a bit of separation anxiety. He is very talkative. must tell everyone when someone is walking near the house, or when he finds a good stick. He has leash reactivity, but does okay as long as no other dogs are near. He is up to date on all vaccinations and is neutered. I believe he is microchipped.

Story
Jules is already showing flashes of the clever, spirited personality that Australian Shepherd / German Shepherd Dogs are known for—just with that fresh, wide-eyed puppy innocence that makes every day a new adventure. At just over a month old and tipping the scales at a petite 8 pounds, he’s spending his days exploring the world alongside his littermates and soaking up lessons from his mom, laying the groundwork for a lifetime of curiosity and companionship. Living with Jules means welcoming a pup who’s just beginning to discover his voice and his paws, full of eagerness to play and learn. His energy is gentle for now, but it won’t be long before he’s ready to keep up with the active lifestyle that his breeds are famous for. Patience and playtime will be your best tools as he grows into his big-dog potential. Jules is set to join his forever family starting July 11, so this is the perfect time to prepare for a young dog who will thrive with consistent guidance and plenty of love. He’s looking for adopters who understand the journey of raising a puppy — the training, the socialization, and the joyful chaos. His future home should be ready to embrace the playful, smart nature of an Australian Shepherd / German Shepherd mix and provide the mental and physical outlets he’ll need. If you’re ready for a puppy with a bright future and a heart full of promise, Jules might just be the one to grow alongside you. Learn more about welcoming him into your life at workingdogsnw.org and start the adoption process today. Every new home made for a pup like Jules opens the door for another deserving dog to find theirs.

BEST WAY TO INQUIRE, EMAIL CONTACT@BAMMRESCUEPDX.ORG From his foster: “Ralphie – Your Adventure Co-Star1 year old | 48 lbs | Australian Shepherd MixRalphie is the kind of dog who forms deep bonds and wants to truly be part of your life. He’s intelligent, expressive, and athletic — a classic working-breed mix who thrives when he has structure, purpose, and connection. At one year old, and still figuring out the world, he can be sensitive in new situations and has shown some fear-based reactivity in the past. The good news? With structure and training, he has been making wonderful progress and building confidence every single day. He is looking for experienced, steady leadership to help him continue that upward trajectory. He would do best in:• An adult-only home (no young children)• An active household that enjoys walks, hikes, and enrichment• A secure yard (he’s athletic and curious!)• A home with breed experience and commitment to continued training    ##2622392##
