Story
Lila is a 13 year old, very spirited Aussie/Border Collie mix in perfect health. She typically does well when there's a lot of stimulation, people to be around, and lot's of exercise. Although she can display reactiveness when on leash, she is easy to calm. She can play well with dogs at the dog park and in the home. Would not recommend for a house with small children or cats as she is a herding breed. She is very sweet, will listen well, and is always ready for an adventure!

Story
Meet adorable and loving Jude. He was rescued from the Avenal animal shelter in CA, where he spent an agonizing nine months-over 274 days-locked away. At just six months old, he faced a year of confinement that could be likened to seven years in human terms. The boredom and distress he experienced are unimaginable. Now that Jude is out of the shelter, he is learning and adapting, but he has a long way to go. He has been doing so great at training and you can definitely see such wonderful results from the training program! We’ve seen amazing progress at the training facility. He is now looking for his forever home or foster. is done with his training and doing so well! He was in a program for about 60 days and has proven to be ready for a foster or adoptive home. Trainers are able to give some sessions to show what he has learned! He would love to be in his new home for the new year. Jude is 1.5 years old, neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. Jude is currently still in San Jose but plans to transport as soon as we have a foster or adopter. Jude is VERY dog friendly and his adoption includes one on one training sessions with you. He would do best with older children but is good with people and has learned to be open to his new surroundings. Jude walks well on a leash, is house trained and he can’t wait to meet you! Jude is a tall handsome boy that just need a chance. Jude has graduated his training program and looking for a great home. Please apply so we can help this boy stay on his training routine and make your life better! Please contact Priscilla at packlyferescue@yahoo.com.

Story
Hi, my name is Kitara and I would love to meet you. I have been at the shelter since Jan 25, 2025. New people and places can be a little scary sometimes, but when I warm up you’ll see my personality bloom! I know that with you by my side, you’ll see my confidence grow every day. I would love to go through life with you as my person! If I could have the perfect day, it would involve a casual stroll with you, overseeing meal prep in the kitchen, and then curling up at your feet. I’m the perfect little shadow! I want to be where you are, do what you’re doing, and be the perfect companion.

Story
In foster in Olympia, WA https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ Please apply to adopt. This works with all the dogs posted the above link to apply to adopt. ARIEL is a 33# Shepherd? type mix. Maybe she has any of these in her? Schipperke and/or Pomeranian and/or Shiba Inu and /or Australian Kelpie? She certainly looks like she does! We do not know! She is adorable and looks like a darker longer legged fox in many ways. She is for us, super quiet, will potty on the leash and potty trained!. However, she is shy at first, so hopefully a quieter home, that is suburban or rural. At this time we cannot YET see her with younger children (too noisy) or in an apartment in a noisy place because she is still shy. Maybe a quieter apartment NOT surrounded by a lot of noise could work for her? In time we are certain she will blossom and come into her own and act like any other dog. It just takes time, love, patience and appropriate socialization. DOB 1/1/24. That is an estimate. She was found as a stray in San Antonio, Texas. Texas has MILLIONS and MILLIONS of strays :( She is active and happy weighing only 33#. She needs loving and training. She is smart and happy to meet people. I would not recommend her for an apartment unless you will exercise her (mentally and physically). . She is used to being in the house and did great with the other dogs in rescue. . She also left my cats alone… but if they ran I’m sure she would chase. She seems happy to see all people, though. She's doing great with her leash training. Ariel likely could keep up with going on hikes and roughing it on a camping trip. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. Story
Ms Lulu is quite the character! She is happy and funny and Loves to run and run. When she stops, she stops! She took over the house and yard the first day protecting and keeping all threats away from the fence. She is a snuggler and will sit on the couch and sleep in the big person bed or an open crate. She does prowl and protect through the night. She is house trained and uses a doggy door. Lulu is okay with small dogs but maybe no dog under 20lbs until proper intros are made - otherwise male or female dogs are fine. No idea about cats. She is a cattle dog and seems as if she may have been trained to herd beyond what comes natural? She got out of the gate once and was fine with the goat and chickens. Cattle and horses would be safe. She is an active working dog who would love an active lifestyle if you can provide it. She loves the water too. She will herd children by nipping on their heels so maybe a bit older children who understand that's just what her breed does and won't cry. She does pretty well on a leash, rides in the car like a pro, loves puppies because she was a mom a time or two. Her tongue hangs out and her jaw is a bit off (maybe birth defect or an injury) but it does not affect her appetite! She is spayed, HW negative and up to date on shots. Lulu is a really sweet dog and wants a home of her own. please apply at www.krrtx.org/forms Please note Lulu is located in San Antonio, TX and is available for transport to your location through Your Tx Rescue Connection transport service. The fee includes adoption fee and transportation fee.
