This handsome boy is deaf, but don’t let that stop you from getting to know him — he’s a wonderful dog who has so much love to give. Avery was recently returned to our care after several years in an adoptive home, through no fault of his own. We know a transition like that can be difficult, but Avery is ready to put the past behind him and start the next chapter of his life with a family who will love him for good. Avery is dog-friendly and enjoys the company of canine friends. With his happy spirit and loving nature, he has so much potential to be a fantastic companion. He is currently around three years old, I got him from someone who couldn’t keep him anymore when he was just 1 year old. The kind of home that I'm hoping would take him is a home in which he can be the only dog or at least amongst others his size. He isn't aware of his strength but still deserves to be loved. Great ways to describe him is loving, curious, adventurous and quite an appetite. He can be a bit nervous at times but generally means well, just wasn't truly socialized as a pup. He does well as a home body but would also be very great for those that are active.

The reason that I'm trying to find another home for him, is he doesn't take too well from male dogs and the male dog we have at home is a third of his size. He takes quite an offense when a male dog corrects him and its best if that male dog was atleast his size. Otherwise with the other dogs we have he's fine with but we assume it’s because the other ones are female.Bonus: Is leash trained, and can sit and lay

Lola has moved to a house with Cats and does not get along, we can no longer keep her. I'd love to have her go to an active family that is not in an apartment where she can get a ton of energy spent on walks and runs. She knows basic commands like sit, lay down, and especially no! But she is so very smart…food is her language.
