Weighing in at a perfect snuggle size of 57 pounds, he is just the right companion to curl up with at the end of a long day. Link is a well-behaved pup who has already mastered the art of being potty trained. He knows basic commands like "sit" and "give paw," making him an obedient and intelligent pup. Staff has also been teaching him "speak" and "touch!" He's a very quick learner who loves to please his humans and will eagerly show off his newfound skills! One of Link's favorite pastimes is going on walks and exploring the world around him. He enjoys the fresh air and all the scents nature has to offer. But beware, as Link has a high prey drive, he would do best in a home without small animals. Instead, he can focus all his attention on you and be your loyal and loving sidekick! Hello there, I'm Archie, a lively 1-year-old Beagle/Cattle dog mix with a heart full of curiosity and a spirit that's as boundless as my energy. I ended up at the shelter because my family had to move, but I'm here with a wagging tail and a heart full of hope, looking for a new family to call my own. At 55 lbs, I'm the perfect mix of cuddly and active. I absolutely love being close to my humans, especially at night when I can snuggle up and keep you warm. But don't be fooled by my cuddly side - I'm a very active dog who needs my daily dose of exercise. Whether it's a game of fetch, a run in the park, or a hike in the woods, I'm always up for an adventure. I have a love for chewing, especially on bones, elk antlers, and any other sturdy toys you provide. I'm housetrained, and I take my meals very seriously (I love meal time!) I'm also quite the explorer and will follow you everywhere you go. I'm a fast learner, so I've been working on breaking some habits like jumping on counters, but I promise I'm getting better every day. I have a unique tail with a kink in it, which gives me a one-of-a-kind charm, and I have adorable black markings around my eyes that make me look like I'm wearing eye makeup. How cool is that? Outdoors is where I truly come to life. I love running around, chasing squirrels and rabbits, and playing tug of war. I do have a penchant for digging, so I'll need a watchful eye in the yard. I've mastered the art of signaling when I need to go out by ringing the bells on the door, so you'll always know when I want to explore the great outdoors. I'm good on a leash and gentle when taking treats. I'm also quite smart, friendly, and inquisitive. I've been crate trained, although I'm starting to outgrow my love for it, but with patience and positive reinforcement, I can adjust. If you're an active individual or family looking for a furry companion to join you on adventures, explore the outdoors, and snuggle up with at night, then I'm your guy! Duke came to us this past summer. He is 3 years old and we are looking to rehome him as we just don't have enough time to give him the love he truly deserves. Duke is a lover, and loves to be with his humans. In fact, when he's away from his people, he can get quite anxious. He takes two medications at night to help keep him calm and would probably need to continue these medications at his new home. Duke is crate trained and is crated when we are not at home and at night. Duke does amazingly well with our two children and our three cats. He also LOVES other dogs and often goes to doggy day care when mom is at work. Duke also loves food and we call him the "Thief" at our house. Watch your food with this one! Duke would do best with a family that truly loves dogs and can take him lots of places with them. Dog parks and doggy day care are favorites of Dukes, so would love to see him go to a home that continues this or has other dogs for companionship.

I was found on 8/19/19 by some bikers when I was just a puppy.  I was abandoned on the side of road with my six siblings!!!  I was very lucky, I was adopted and loved for 4 years, but then my parents got divorced and I started acting out.  I bit a small child in the face.  No one knows why I did it, and I am not saying why I did it.  I just was unhappy with the whole situation, but now I found myself back at the shelter because of what I did. I really am a good dog.  The girls are telling me they will find me another family without children so I don't get in trouble again.  I love people, but I am very sad about being back at the shelter.  I have new friends in my pen, but I really miss my humans and living in a house.  Will you give me a chance to be a good boy again? Brooks was born 05/08/2019.  He is 28.8 pounds and his adoption fee is $250.    This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast.
