Siren is a calm, gentle, quiet girl who joined us from rural Kentucky. It appeared she had had very little human interaction when joining BAARK last year, but with time and patience, she has come out of her shell and has become a little more confident….but does have a ways to go. Siren is definitely a Mix Breed, possibly a Beagle-Heeler, with other breeds sprinkled in! She’s an estimated 32 lbs. born in January of 2021. This sweet girl enjoys the company of other dogs in her foster home, but prefers calm dogs. She can become startled by loud noises and quick movement but as her confident continues to grow, such things will likely not bother her. Siren is most likely to thrive in a quieter household consisting of adults. But older children, respectful of animals, would be good for Siren as well. She’d really enjoy the companionship of a calm, possibly older dog too. A secure fenced yard is also a plus. Siren is up to date on her vaccinations, heartworm negative and on year-round heartworm prevention, spayed and microchipped. She is believed to be housebroken as well. Meet Lilly a sweet, gentle Beagle/Hound who joined us a few months ago, along with two of her sisters, all confiscated from a hoarding situation. She is just over a year old (est DOB 12-05-2023) and weighs about 28 lbs. In her foster home, Lilly is working on her social skills and, learning to become a dog! She enjoys playing with other dogs, and prefers to be with dogs, over people. Lilly may be ok with older children (over age 12) But she especially enjoys being with another dog. Lilly is looking to become part of a family that is patient, compassionate, and loving, and to living her best life in an environment that is calm and not overly hectic. Beagle/hound experience is a big plus. Because she enjoys being outside, a secure fenced (above ground) yard is very important to her. Lilly is not disposed to being an apartment dweller or living in a condo. She likes to bark and such environments would not be appropriate for her. Lilly is fully vetted, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on year-round heartworm prevention, spayed and microchipped. Hi there! Im Walker, a 1-ish-year-old bundle of charm, enthusiasm, and tail wags. I weigh about 35 pounds, which I think is the perfect size big enough for real hugs, small enough to fit comfortably on your couch (or your lap, if invited). My style? A dashing mix of black, tan, and white possibly Beagle, maybe Entlebucher Mountain Dog or Appenzeller Sennenhund (try saying that three times fast). Whatever the combo, it clearly equals handsome. Im searching for my forever home, ideally one with another fun-loving dog to play and romp with. Im a huge fan of fetch (my favorite sport), so a fenced-in yard would be amazing. But I also walk well on a leash I mean, my name is Walker and love exploring, meeting new people, and checking out the local squirrel scene. When it comes to manners, Im potty trained and learning to spend time in my crate like a polite, well-adjusted pup. I know my name and respond to commands like sit, come (most of the time cut me a little slack, Im still young!), leave it, and no. Im reallu good about potty besides the occaional oops in new exciting environments like the vet or events!! I cant help it - just gotta say I was there!! BUT Im getting much better about that as I settle into routines. (I promise Im a fast learner!) I love people, dogs, belly rubs, and giving kisses. And once the adventures are done, Im happiest curled up near my humans content, relaxed, and full of love. In short: Im young, social, playful, affectionate, and ready to find my perfect match. Zina is a precious pup, possibly a petite Beagle-Basset Mix. She weighs just 28 lbs, small for a Basset! She is estimated to be 8 – 9 years old. She had spent several months at an area Animal Control Facility with zero interest, so we at BAARK agreed to transfer her to our program, expecting that she’d get more visibility, interest, and hopefully that forever home that she so deserves. Zina enjoyed the holidays with her foster family! She loves people and immediately engages with them. She is outgoing, playful, and good with other dogs (we do not know about cats). She is also fine with children who have been taught to be respectful of dogs. Zina is an absolutely perfect girl. She is up to date on all veterinary care, including vaccinations, and heartworm testing. She is on year-round heartworm preventative, is spayed and microchipped. Zina is housebroken.
