Story
Butler is at a foster home and needs a rescue. He’s 2-3 years, 45 pounds, fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped. Butler is a handsome 2–3 year old Beagle mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He absolutely loves people and is as sweet and friendly as they come. Butler thrives on human companionship and will happily follow you around, keeping you company and making sure you never feel alone. He’s lovable, affectionate, and a true snuggle enthusiast—curling up close is one of his favorite pastimes. Butler also enjoys getting outside and would make a great hiking buddy, especially for someone who appreciates stopping to sniff all the good smells along the way. With other dogs, Butler can do well but will need slow, proper introductions to set everyone up for success. And true to his breed, he has that classic chatty Beagle personality—he’s expressive, vocal, and full of charm that will keep you smiling and laughing. If you’re looking for a loyal, people-loving companion with lots of personality, plenty of cuddles, and a little Beagle commentary sprinkled in, Butler just might be your perfect match.

Story
Meet Popper! 🖤🤍🐾 Popper is a 9-month-old Beagle mix with big ears, a quirky personality, and an even bigger heart! If you’re looking for a dog who can keep you laughing, join you for some playtime, and then happily crawl into your lap for cuddles, Popper may be your guy! His foster family describes him in three words: funny, cuddly, and sweet. And honestly, they couldn't have picked better words. ❤️ Popper's Personality Popper is an easygoing, affectionate boy who has mastered the art of knowing when his people need a little snuggle time—and when they might need some personal space. He loves to jump right into your arms (and for a little guy, he has some impressive hops!), curl up next to you, and enjoy endless belly and booty rubs. He's also perfectly happy to get up and run some laps around the yard, chase his foster siblings, or settle down with one of his favorite chew toys. And those big Beagle ears and quirky personality? They're guaranteed to make you smile! 🧸 Playtime & Favorite Things Popper is still very much a puppy and loves to have fun. His favorite things include: 🧸 Bullymake toys 🦴 Benebones 🐾 Chasing his foster siblings around the yard 💨 Running and playing ❤️ Snuggling with his people 💤 Taking a good nap 🛏️ Sleeping in his foster family's bed 🐶 Being part of the action He's a medium-energy pup who enjoys activity but is equally happy relaxing afterward. Popper is a little bit of everything: playful when it's time to play, and a total cuddle bug when it's time to relax. 🏡 Life With Popper Popper has a predictable daily routine and does well with structure. His mornings start with a potty break and breakfast, followed by play and activity throughout the day. He enjoys afternoon runs and playtime, has dinner around 7:30, and is usually ready to settle down for bed around 8:30–9:00. He would love a family who will give him opportunities to play, explore, get daily exercise, and then relax together at home. 🐶 Other Dogs & Leash Manners Popper gets along wonderfully with the dogs in his foster home. He loves playing with his foster siblings and is very comfortable sharing his home with other dogs. When he's out and about, though, Popper is still learning his leash manners. Seeing unfamiliar dogs while on walks can be exciting for him, and he may react by becoming overly interested or wanting to engage. He'll need an adopter who is willing to continue working with him using patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. With the right guidance and continued practice, Popper can keep building confidence and becoming a better walking buddy. Because he can be selective with unfamiliar dogs, slow, thoughtful introductions are important. He could be happy as the only dog in the home or potentially live with another dog with the right introduction and personality match. 👧 Kids Popper has interacted with children as young as 3 years old. As with any young dog, children should be taught to respect his space and interact with him appropriately, especially when he's resting or enjoying his crate. 🎓 Training Popper is still a young dog and will benefit from continued training and consistency. He's crate trained and potty trained, although he can occasionally have an accident if he's left alone for too long. He has no food, treat, toy, or people resource guarding. ⚡ Energy Level Popper has a medium energy level. He's active enough to enjoy running, playing, and daily activity, but he's also perfectly happy to be a couch potato afterward. His ideal day might look something like: Play → zoomies → toys → snacks → cuddles → nap → repeat. ❤️ 💕 Why Popper? Popper is one of those dogs who makes you smile just by being himself. He's goofy, affectionate, playful, and incredibly sweet. He can entertain himself with his favorite toys, run around the yard with his foster siblings, and then somehow turn right back into the world's biggest cuddle bug. He knows how to enjoy life, and he really loves his people. Popper isn't looking for a perfect family—he's looking for his family. Someone who will appreciate his funny personality, give him plenty of love and activity, and be patient as he continues learning how to navigate the world around him. If you're looking for a sweet, funny, cuddly young Beagle mix with big ears and an even bigger personality, Popper is ready to meet you! 🖤🤍🐾 https://www.woofanimalrescue.org/adopt This dog is currently located in Chicago's southwest suburbs and can be seen by appointment once an adoption application is completed and approved by the rescue. Story
##2751243## Gabby is a beautiful young girl, estimated to be around 1.5 years old, who is searching for a patient and understanding family willing to give her the time she needs to truly shine. After arriving at the shelter as a puppy, Gabby spent about 8 months growing up behind kennel walls. Because of this, she's still learning what life outside the shelter is all about. New sights, sounds, people, and experiences can feel overwhelming at first, and Gabby will need a family committed to following the 3-3-3 rule and allowing her plenty of time to decompress, adjust, and build trust in her new home. Gabby is shy when meeting new people and does best with slow, gentle introductions. She may not show her true personality right away, but once she feels safe, she blossoms into a playful, affectionate, and incredibly sweet companion. The bond you build with Gabby will be well worth the wait. This goofy girl has a curious side that keeps everyone smiling. She's fascinated by her own reflection and can spend time trying to figure out who that dog in the mirror is! As she gains confidence, her playful personality emerges, and she becomes more eager to explore the world around her. Gabby can be sensitive to certain sounds and unfamiliar situations, so she'll thrive with patient adopters who can help her navigate new experiences at her own pace. Because Gabby spent much of her life in a shelter environment, she is not yet fully potty trained and is still learning what a consistent routine looks like. Her future family should expect to continue working on house training and understand that accidents may happen as she adjusts. With patience, structure, and positive reinforcement, she'll continue making progress. Gabby isn't looking for perfection, she's looking for someone who understands that trust takes time and that learning how to be a family dog is a journey. With love, patience, and consistency, this sweet girl will continue to grow into the confident, loving companion she's meant to be. If you're willing to give Gabby the gift of time, she'll reward you with a lifetime of loyalty, love, and plenty of laughs along the way.
