*** MUST HAVE POWER BREED EXPERIENCE*** *** MUST HAVE FENCED YARD ***   NAME: GERARD WAY LITTER: GERARD is part of the "MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE" litter  AGE/GENDER: JUVENILE (born 8/05/2022), Male BREED: BELGIAN SHEPHERD MALINOIS TEMPERAMENT: Playful and mischievous, headstrong, protective, territorial WEIGHT: 50ish lbs and growing HOUSE TRAINING: He's working on it still and doing great, but he can get a little excited.  CRATE TRAINING: Good, he is crate trained. OTHER DOGS: Good. He will need continued socialization, like all puppies! He is a dominant-type personality. CATS: No cats as he has a strong prey drive. CHILDREN: Dog-respectful children, 12 and older - he is a maligator after all ADOPTION DONATION: $600 HEALTH: GERARD is doing well, but he came to us as a puppy who could not walk and was hospitalized for pyothorax as a young puppy. He has stunted growth and may not have the endurance of a typical healthy Malinois. Prior to adoption, puppies will be altered, microchipped, flea treated, and dewormed. Puppies are given vaccination boosters in our care; however, adoptive families will be responsible for the remaining vaccinations that puppies need. Your adoption donation goes toward the cost of this vet care as well as transportation and general care costs. HISTORY: Gerard Way came from a backyard breeder. He was unable to walk when he originally came to us. We worked with him and got him stronger and able to walk only to have tragedy strike as he succumbed to a lung infection. After emergent care and surgery, where it was touch and go, our miracle Malinois defied the odds.  NOTES FROM FOSTER HOME: GERARD WAY is a puppy so he's playful and has a lot of puppy energy! He is super cute and fun, but a lot of work. His forever family should be committed to lots of training - obedience, housetraining, and socialization. This will ensure that GERARD grows into a confident, well behaved adult! Puppies' personalities are dependent on their environment, and the structure and training they are given, in addition to socialization. Their personalities continue to grow and be shaped by their new adoptive families. Puppy daycare and socialization classes or puppy kindergarten are highly recommended for their personal development. He will more than reward you for all your hard work with lots of love, loyalty, and laughs.   Gerard is a Malinois, which is a working breed of dog. These dogs need to be worked, mentally. They need a job. They are not a dog for a first-time dog owner. You cannot compare Malinois to a German Shepherd. Gerard requires an adopter with power breed experience. Someone who has worked with and trained power breed dogs. He would appreciate another dog playmate in the home. Gerard, while sometimes naughty since he is still very much a puppy, loves to train and will need an adopter who has training experience and someone who enjoys training and working with their dog. Gerard is a typical Maligator and is very mouthy, which is why he needs a home with older children. He is not a protection dog, as he is highly socialized to people due to his lengthy hospitalization and frequent vet care.   All dogs adopted from Motley Zoo come with a leash and either a Martingale collar or a harness, depending on each dog's particular needs.   Welcome to Motley Zoo Animal Rescue. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization that is run entirely by volunteers. Motley Zoo does not have a brick and mortar shelter location. Instead, all our rescue animals are cared for in private foster homes where the animals receive one-on-one care and attention in a home environment until permanent placement is found. Please email adopt@motleyzoo.org and request an adoption application and we will work toward approving you as an adopter with our rescue so that we can set a time for you to meet!   For more information, please visit www.motleyzoo.org.   Thank you for considering adopting a dog in need!   Woof,   The Motley Zoo CrewSeptember 26, 2023, 12:09 am

If friends' playing style mathes with her, she would play around with little barks, play-neck biting, catching with front legs, and etc. ▶ [Relationship with cats] Can be in the same household. ▶ [Relationship with people] At first sight, she has a bit of fear, but after few hours, she would follow around. Does not display aggression. ▶ [Potty training] Outdoor potty. Loves going for walk and is well mannered. ▶ [Energy Level] Has high energy since she'a still a puppy. ▶ [Hates] Trying to pet them in very sudden manner, bath, loud sound of blow dryer. ▶ [Peaonality & Recommended Houshold] - Would be great if the household already has other dogs, or where she could see other friends. - Seems to have high energy even as puppy. Story
Hi everyone! I’m Cristal (pronounced “Chris-tall”... the Puerto Rican way). ;) I am 3-5 years old and appear to be a Belgian Malinois because of my beautiful reddish coat and Shepherd stance. I weigh 48 lbs and am working to gain a little weight, but I’m not a glutton so it’s hard for me. I am very well-behaved: I’ve been exposed daily to new dogs, cats, and chickens and I am very respectful and watchful; I really like to play with other dogs and Kitty Kitty Meow Meow. I love humans, and follow my fosters everywhere while still allowing new people to pet me and say “hi”! Although I am leash trained, they have also been allowing me free roam when they are outside with me, because I listen so well and come when called. On the adventures that are not dog-friendly, I stay in the outside kennel and am quiet until you return. I have already become friends with Kitty Kitty Meow Meow - who lives with us - and who used to make fun of me by jumping out of bushes to see my reaction. I absolutely LOVE to take car rides. In fact, I show so much joy when the truck is out that they don’t want to disappoint me so I often get to tag along. I’m excellent on a leash and I love sniffing the outdoors, and so my fosters think an adopter that likes to be outside would be a good match for me. Even though I like going on adventures, I am a really chill dog and have low overall activity, so I’m also content to hang with you at the house watching television - as long as you stop to scrub my ears every now and then. Because I am coming as a rescue from Puerto Rico, there are some limitations on timing to get off the island safely during the hot season. Therefore, my fosters will take care of me until I catch a flight to Seattle on November 15th, which is when I have trusted people available to fly with me. As my chosen adopter, you will be required to meet us in the baggage claim upon landing (around noon), and flight times can change… so if this is a commitment you cannot keep, please apply for another dog. It’s early, but APPLY TODAY to get the screening process completed, as my foster family is VERY interested that the absolute BEST person is chosen as my new family; they will miss me!

Hi! My name is Dusty and I am available for adoption.I was brought in by my previous owner on 6/14/23. I lived in a home with another large dog. I weigh 47 lbs and am considered a `medium breed` dog.I am very shy at first but once I feel comfortable around you I am an affectionate lovebug who would be thrilled to cuddle up with you at home!I am full of energy and I love to play! I will need a home that can dedicate time to training! I have so much to learn and am very smart - engaging brain games, long walks and games of fetch will be crucial to helping me become a social and well manner companion. Because of my shy nature, I would do best in a calm, quiet home.I am an older puppy!! I will need to find a home where someone is available for me in these early days. It is important to be consistent with me and socialize me so I can have the best companionship with people and other animals. Puppies require patience because everything is brand new so I will need some TLC while I learn. I am not potty trained or crate training yet and teaching me those skills will help tremendously on a road to success! If you and your family are ready to fall in love my awesome self, please check me out!!My personality color is BLUE. I am a gentle and loving dog who likes to take things slow. I may get nervous in new situations, so I am looking for a family who understands that I might take some time to warm up. Once I get to know you, I will be a very devoted friend!

Story
HI - I'M SCARLET! I'm a lovely, sweet, and very active 8-year-old Belgian Malinois currently in a foster home in Northern Oregon! Previously, per the shelter that housed me, I came from a hoarding situation in California. I'm an affectionate girl, with plenty of energy for walk, hikes and other outings. I will be your best friend and co-pilot, as I love spending time with my people. I do have strong protective and territorial instincts, and will protect you from an intruder. I'm extremely intelligent and I learn quickly at your command. Even though I'm only 55 pounds, I am strong, and need a strong owner. I am easily distracted on a walk, but I'm gentle, too. I do not do well with cats and have a prey drive. Belgian Malinois dogs can have a long lifespan if taken care of properly, so don't let my 8 years scare you. I don't act like an 8-year-old dog at all, and in fact, I'm ready to go for a long hike! I may be younger, too, as my age is a shelter estimate. I'm also a bit of an escape artist, but that's because I'm so smart. So please don't leave me out in the backyard for hours on end as I could figure out a way to get out. I will do fine if left in a utility room - I do not have accidents in there nor am I destructive. All in all I'm a wonderful dog who needs a wonderful, experienced, loving owner. Can you adopt me?

Click the button to download the adoption application. The application is a form-fillable pdf. Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi!  My name is Shiloh from Korea and I am a wonderful approximately 5 month old  male Belgian Malinois.  I weigh approximately 28 lbs. and so excited to find my new forever home.  I am very happy, affectionate, smart, and friendly.  I was saved from the Korean kill shelter where I was due to be euthanized. The activists came and saved me and I can't wait to come to America and find a family to love and care for me forever.  Approximately over a million dogs a year are slaughtered to be eaten.  I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family.  Take me on car rides, walks in the park, and I will become your best friend.  I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs.  I will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of love, and affection!  On all overseas adoption, we highly recommend our pet rescue dog trainer who will help train your new pup for only $75.  My adoption fee of $1,295 will cover my spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate and airline transport cost from Korea to Seattle.   A GPS tracker or Apple AirTag is required for all adopted dogs. You can bring your own when adopting or you can purchase an AirTag from us   We cannot guarantee breed or age. The adoption fee is firm and helps save the life of another dog needing rescue and our other dogs in need of medical care.  Donations are always appreciated to help pay down our vet bills at Greenwood Vet.  Ginger's Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501C-3 organization.  Please e-mail   admin@gingerspetrescue.org   for an adoption application. Meet Sugar!  This gorgeous and sweet girl was found in the streets of a very busy city with her partner (Cane) and her 9 puppies!!!!! This girl is not only extremely friendly, but an amazing mom.  She loves to cuddle and wants affection. Give her some tummy rubs and she'll be your best friend for life. She has a very well balanced personality and gets along great with other dogs and has learned to be okay with our cat.  She was never aggressive though, she just thought kitties were fun to chase. She is very smart and learns quickly. Her favorite things are toys, walks and spending time outside. She would love a fenced yard with a doggie door where she can come and go all day long if possible. She is housebroken, crate & leash trained.  She is fully vetted and ready to find her furrever home.  Her ideal family would be one with other dogs and children.  She loves to be around humans. A really great fit for any living situation. She is being fostered in Salem, OR and is available for meet and greets.   Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future from a city that has an animal crisis.  We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wondering our streets.  So many have been dumped and cannot find their way home.  Many never even had a home and were born on the streets.  WE gave them a chance.  Every animal deserves a chance. We know if adopted by you they will be loved and cared for . We believe in our local and out of state applicants.  There is a reason we drive to the Pacific Northwest every 2 weeks.  You are worth the drive. We have AMAZING adopters and we need more like them.  No matter if you live here in Houston, the Pacific Northwest or Canada we welcome you!  Thank you for considering to adopt and not shop.  If we are in Houston, then how can you see our posts?   Spring Branch Rescue has fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Story
Meet Daisha, a remarkable and resilient canine who has overcome unimaginable hardships. At just two years and six months old, this gentle soul weighs around 50 pounds. It's hard to fathom that behind those innocent eyes lies a dog with a heart full of love and impeccable behavior. Daisha's timid and submissive nature is a clear indication of the mistreatment she endured in her past. It took two whole days to capture her, as she had become an expert at crawling into corners and hiding in tight spots. On the day she was found, the weather was dreadful - with pouring rain and a bone-chilling temperature of 34°. Despite her physical discomfort, she limped through busy streets, desperately searching for shelter. It seemed as though she had recently given birth to puppies, but sadly, there were no little ones by her side. Today, Daisha has blossomed into a cuddly companion, finding solace in the warmth of human presence. She adores spending time with babies and little dogs, showcasing her nurturing side. However, her experiences on the streets have made her a bit more assertive around larger dogs. Nevertheless, she is playful and enjoys snuggling up on the couch, often falling into deep slumber due to her low energy levels. Daisha's impeccable leash manners and her adorable habit of greeting you with her paw demonstrate her eagerness to please. She has also mastered a few impressive tricks! For those interested in adopting Daisha, transportation is available every two weeks. And if you're a Canadian adopter, you can even meet her in Bellingham, WA.
