The Captain is ready to "lift your spirits" with his adorable antics!  He is a big, lovable goofball who doesn’t quite realize how large he is—but that just adds to his charm! Story
Robin is happy girl who loves to play but likes her down time as well. She can be very timid when she first meets people but craves attention. Her age is estimated to be 3 years old and she weighs approximately 45-50lbs. In April, Robin was found dumped in a remote park, along with another German Shepherd mix, Batman. She has been in a foster home since then that has helped to build her confidence and trust in people. Robin would love to have another dog to play with, and her ideal family member would be Batman, who is also available for adoption. While they can be adopted separately, they’d be happy to be back together. Robin loves to play ball and will go as long as you’re willing to throw it. She loves other toys as well and will entertain herself. Her home must have a very secure, fenced yard as she is a run risk. She can never be taken off leash outside of a contained yard and we strongly recommend that she wear her harness and be double clipped to her harness and collar on walks. Robin has a strong prey drive and will take care of any moles in your yard but has done well with cats indoors. We aren't sure if a cat was outdoors and ran if her prey drive would kick in, so we suggest a home with no cats or indoor only cats. We also recommend a slow introduction with the cats having a place they can escape to while they adjust to life together. Kids in the home must be dog savvy, and aware enough to know that they can’t forget to close the door.

Story
Shepherd Smarts + Husky Sparkle = Sol ☀️ Hi, I’m Sol! About 2 years old and 52 lbs of sweet, cheerful, love bug. I’m the kind of girl who’s happiest when life includes fresh air, a routine, and someone I can really trust and bond with. I came from a tough start, rescued just in time from a high-kill shelter, and I’ve been doing the brave work of learning that people can be safe and life can be good. What you’ll love about me: I’m super quick to learn and I do best when you give me clear guidance. I already know sit and shake, I’m happy to hang out by myself in the house as long as there’s a comfy couch to nap on and I got my exercise. I don’t destroy anything in the house; only occasionally treats myself with any snacks you leave around 😉 I can also sleep in my crate overnight, and I’m great at telling you when I need to go outside to potty. I especially love pets and bonding time with my human! My vibe: puppy kisses + sniff walks + play time + snuggle time I’m an adventure kid at heart; hikes, exploring, sniffing trails, all of it. And if you have a playful, high-energy dog my size, it’s even better. I love playtime and would absolutely thrive with a matured dog sibling who matches my energy. I can be very enthusiastic when meeting new dogs, so we’re practicing calmer greetings on walks and I’m improving quickly with consistency. I’m cat-curious and making real progress at my foster home. Recently I stayed calm longer around resident kitties, didn’t bark until a kitty hissed first 😅, and instead of trying to chase, I followed at a slower pace. I’ll still need thoughtful slow intros and guidance, but I’m showing I can learn. My best match: I’m looking for a home with: • a confident, steady human who enjoys training, routine and needs a partner in crime! • an active lifestyle (sniff walks, hikes, enrichment) • I could be your on and only dog or have a playful husky or similar energy sibling. I have enjoyed playing with huskies and shepherd mixes I met at my foster homes. If you want a dog who brings lots of joy, cuddles, keeps you moving, and becomes deeply connected to her person, look right into your eye, I might be the one you’ve been waiting for! Please contact my rescue PawesomeBaby to plan a meet and greet! ✨🐾 You can find more photos and videos of me on Instagram: @PawesomeBaby —————————————————————————- About Sol: —————————————————————————- • Age: approx 1.5 - 2 yr • Weighs 52 lb • Potty trained at foster home. • People friendly • Dog friendly You will be adopting a dog who got the care listed below - • Spay/neuter • Rabies, DHPP, Lepto, Bordetella vaccines • Either negative fecal test or dewormed • Wellness checkup, Heartworm, blood tests • Microchip registration with AKC reunited • Lots of tender loving care at amazing foster home! • Professional training help with leash walking We are looking for adopters in Washington state or BC Canada. We may consider neighboring states AB or OR, if it’s a perfect match lifestyle and you are willing to drive. Please contact to schedule a meetup! Her adoption fee is USD 400 (CAD 500). We charge an adoption fee for our precious dogs, to make sure they go to a good home who can afford caring for them as a family member. Dog ownership is a lifetime commitment of over 10-15 yrs. Training: —————- She can get some help with leash walking and excitement/ frustrated greeting seeing dogs on walks. We are working with trainers to guide her. We’ll share all the information you need to continue the routine her foster mom had been keeping. And connect you to the trainers Sol works with in both BC and WA. Training Resources: ————————————— Regardless of who you adopt, we recommend training your pup regularly, to build an everlasting bond with your pup and help them continue to be an amazing canine citizen. We can provide a list of reputable trainers who use positive reinforcement methods to help you establish a training protocol and an everlasting bond with your newly adopted furbaby. —————————————————————————- [IMPORTANT] —————————————————————————- Below listed requirements are for any dogs we adopt out, meant for everyone’s safety. • If you have other dogs, then you must also be knowledgeable and have good hands on experience with running a multi-dog home to be able to adopt a dog from us. What’s expected of the adopter is just keeping basic house rules like (1) keep the dogs apart when feeding, monitor & put away left over food, (2) help them build mutual trust before leaving alone with treats, toys around (3) keep dogs out of kitchen when handling food etc • As with any dog, earn their trust around food handling. This is an essential training for every dog, so they learn to trust their new human. It takes only a couple of practice sessions around meal time with most dogs with no history of food guarding. Teaching to sit, then hand-feeding food & high value treats is one of the best ways to earn trust. • If you have children at home, they should be at least 8+ yrs, and know to safely & respectfully interact with dogs, to be considered for adoption. We think families with younger children will likely not have the time needed to exercise and nourish a new dog. And the time needed to train little kids to safely interact with dogs, read their body language & respect their personal space. Most dogs do not enjoy little ones clinging to them, pulling their fur, crawling or lying on them. We do not want to risk the safety of neither your child nor our dog. Follow @dogmeets_baby trainer on Instagram to learn more on this topic :-) Of course, we understand there are exceptions and some parents are on top with this. Please contact us if you are one of those exceptional parents :) • We discourage the use of choke, pinch, prong collars on our dogs. Training to walk on a well fitted no-pull harness is encouraged. All our dogs come with a “no-pull” harness. If needed for training, you can use humane collars like regular buckle collars, martingale collars or ‘gentle leader’. For adoption process details, check out PawesomeBaby.com and send us a message here. Thank you for considering to adopt a husky in need. God bless!

Story
Meet Kiara Kiara is a courtesy posting. If you are interested please apply and we will forward your application on to our rescue partner. Kiara’s story begins the way too many do — abandoned and left to fend for herself. When she was picked up after being dumped, one thing was immediately clear: she had been living with pain. She was scheduled to be spayed right away, and once she recovered, further evaluation began for a chronic limp that had been ongoing for over a month. Kiara tries so hard to power through it. She is weight-bearing, but only placing about 50–60% of her weight on her right front leg. After sedation and radiographs, the extent of the injury became clear. Kiara has significant trauma to her right elbow — likely 1–2 months old and possibly consistent with being hit by a car. Imaging revealed: • Elbow dislocation • Medial epicondyle fracture • Possible coronoid process fracture • Bone debris and arthritic changes The damage appears permanent. Surgical repair carries a guarded prognosis for restoring normal joint function. One option discussed was elbow fusion, which could reduce pain but would eliminate movement in that joint. If pain cannot be managed long term, amputation may ultimately provide her the best quality of life. Despite everything she has endured, Kiara is incredibly resilient. She doesn’t complain. She doesn’t give up. She just keeps trying to be a dog. Because of the complexity of her injury, several rescues have declined to take her on. But she deserves a chance — not just to survive, but to live comfortably and safely without chronic pain. She will be evaluated again next week to determine the best path forward. If amputation is recommended as the option that gives her the greatest quality of life, we will move forward and raise the funds needed to give her that chance. Kiara did not choose what happened to her. But we can choose what happens next. Stay tuned as we advocate for this brave girl and work to give her the pain-free future she deserves.
