Story
Wylie is not just a dog; he’s a testament to resilience and the power of community. At 10 years young, this handsome senior has a heart as big as his beautiful, well-groomed coat—one that requires a bit of daily brushing but rewards you with endless cuddles in return. For years, Wylie lived a life that many would find difficult. Alone on the streets, he faced challenges that would leave most feeling defeated. Yet, thanks to the kindness of local construction workers who made sure he had meals, and the teenagers and children who took time to sit with him, Wylie developed a spirit filled with love and gratitude. Generous souls along his journey even laid out warm beds for him, ensuring he had a safe place to rest each night. Now, Wylie is ready to find a forever home where he can finally experience the love and warmth he deserves. He’s a gentle companion who thrives on human affection and companionship. Whether it’s snuggling up on the couch or enjoying leisurely strolls around the neighborhood, Wylie brings joy wherever he goes. Wylie has a wonderful knack for getting along with everyone—adults, kids, and other dogs alike. His sweet demeanor makes him the perfect addition to any family looking for a loving companion. Plus, his heartworm negative status means he’s ready to start this new chapter of his life without any health concerns holding him back. If you’re looking for a cuddly friend who embodies the spirit of resilience and joy, Wylie is your guy. He’s ready to fill your home with love, laughter, and plenty of wagging tails. Will you be the one to give him the forever home he’s been dreaming of? Discover the love and warmth that only a senior dog can offer. Together, let’s give this beautiful soul the happy ending he truly deserves. Why should you consider adopting a senior dog? Adopting a senior dog is a truly rewarding experience that brings immeasurable joy and companionship. Senior dogs are often overlooked in shelters, yet they come with countless benefits. They tend to be calmer, well-mannered, and already past the hyperactive puppy stage, making them perfect for families or individuals seeking a loyal companion. Many have been trained and have established routines, making the transition into a new home smoother. Plus, senior dogs are incredibly grateful for a second chance, showering their adopters with unconditional love and affection. By adopting a senior dog, you’re not just saving a life; you’re gaining a devoted friend who will fill your days with warmth and joy. Give a senior dog the love they deserve, and experience the profound bond that comes with adopting a loving, wise companion. To add Wiley to your family, simply send us an email at springbranchrescue@gmail.com for adoption and fee information. He is wagging his tail and wiggling his butt at just the thought of finding his forever home and his story is just beginning! His next chapter could be with you! Our adoption fee includes transport, all age required shots, microchip, & a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. We look forward to receiving your application! We will review it shortly and give you a call to set up a phone interview.  We are thrilled to offer transport services every 3 weeks from Houston to the Pacific Northwest and the East Coast, ensuring that these incredible pets can find their way to you no matter where you are. This makes the adoption process smooth and convenient, allowing you to focus on welcoming your new family member with open arms. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future away from a city that has an animal crisis. We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wandering our streets. So often are these animals dumped, abandoned, or born on the streets and never find a home to call their own. We are giving them the chance that every animal deserves. We know that since you are looking to add a furry family member to your home here, you will provide the love, care, and attention they need to thrive. Thank you for considering adopting and not shopping. ##2039507##

Say hello to Junior!  He is incredibly sweet and smart.  This adorable boy can be a little shy at first, but once he opens up you will feel all the love he has to give.  Junior has learned a few tricks and if you have a yummy treat he will be glad to show them to you.  Our adorable boy is also crate traned (not his favorite place as he loves to be part of the action, but will sleep very well in it).  This smart boy is also leash train and does very well in the car.  He will be an incredible fit for any family.    Why adopt from Texas? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future. An opportunity to be loved and cared for by good and loving families. There is a reason why we make the trip to your area every two weeks. You are worth the drive. We have AMAZING adopters and we need more like them.We have fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Due to Covid 19 restrictions all Meet & Greets have been cancelled to keep everyone safe. Our adoptable pets are in Houston living with local foster families making the transition into your household a whole lot easier. Our transport company leaves Houston every 2 weeks for Oregon, Idaho, Washington, and Canada (Canadian adopters will meet us in Bellingham, WA). We will book your baby as soon as adoption & transport fees have been received.   Our adoption fee includes transport and a Health Certificate from a local vet to certify your new pet is clear to travel accross state lines. If you have fallen madly in love and would like to make this baby part of your family, then go to www.springbranchrescue.org ##1451332##

Prepare to fall in love with Sunshine, the sweet and affectionate girl who gets along with everyone she meets. With her easy-going nature, Sunshine is a breeze to have around. She's housebroken, crate trained, and walks beautifully on a leash—truly a gem among our fosters! Sunshine's Journey: This brave mama was found in North Houston with her nine tiny pups. Despite facing harrowing stormy nights, she never strayed from their side, even moving them under pieces of collapsed fencing to keep them safe. Despite her past hardships, which included being kicked and pushed around, Sunshine's loving and gentle spirit remains unbroken. She has permanent damage to one eye, but can see out of it. According to our vet the eye does not need to be removed.  She adores other dogs and is eager to be part of their circle of trust. With Sunshine, you'll always know how much she cares. If you're a loving adopter searching for a loyal companion, look no further! Sunshine is fantastic with humans, incredibly gentle with kids, and completely non-reactive to cats. Don't miss out on this diamond in the rough—Sunshine is ready to bring joy and love into your home! To add Sunshine to your family, simply send us an email at springbranchrescue@gmail.com for adoption and fee information. Story
Name: Harris Age: 2 years Breed: German Shepherd Health Status: Heartworm positive (treatment provided) About Harris: Harris is a charming 2-year-old German Shepherd with a heart full of love and a gentle spirit that will capture your heart. He was found camping out at an abandoned hospital alongside his lady friend and 40 other dogs, showing incredible resilience despite the challenges he faced. Now, he’s ready to embark on a new adventure with a loving family. Though heartworm positive, Harris’ joyful personality shines through. His friendly demeanor makes him the perfect companion for families, individuals, or anyone looking to add a loyal friend to their life. Heartworms are alarmingly common in stray dogs in the Houston area, primarily due to the region’s warm and humid climate, which creates ideal conditions for mosquitoes—the primary carriers of the heartworm parasite. Heartworm treatment will be provided for him and his new family.  When you choose to adopt a heartworm positive dog, you're not just giving them a second chance at life—you're also embracing the opportunity to make a profound difference in their journey to recovery. Heartworm positive dogs are often overlooked, but they are just as loving, loyal, and deserving of a forever home as any other pup. By adopting one, you’ll experience the joy of watching them blossom into a healthy, happy companion. Your love and care can help them overcome this challenge, and in return, they will shower you with unconditional affection and gratitude for the rest of their lives.  Personality: Harris is the definition of easy-going. He’s incredibly friendly and gets along wonderfully with people and other pets alike. His gentle nature makes him great with kids, and he thrives on human companionship. His intelligence shines through in his training – he’s already crate-trained and walks beautifully on a leash. Whether you’re taking a stroll in the park or snuggling on the couch, Harris is up for the task! Why Harris Needs You: Harris is looking for a loving home where he can continue to thrive. He’s ready to bring joy, companionship, and a sense of peace to your household. With your support, he can overcome his heartworm status and live a long, healthy life by your side. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to a loyal friend who has already shown so much courage, Harris is waiting for you!  To add Harris to your family, simply send us an email at springbranchrescue@gmail.com for adoption and fee information. Story
Meet Kuku🩵 On a cold winter night, Danpoong gave birth to 5 puppies at Korean city shelter. She and her pups got severe scabies prompting urgent rescue to Adogs center. Their mother Danpoong took great care of her puppies, and the pups were chubby and healthy. His round eyes and long pointy ears are so lovely! He's such a cute little puppy with an adorable round mouth 😍 *Separation anxiety: None! *Potty-training: Prefers outdoor potty, 60% aim on pad. He may make mistakes in a new environment! 💟 Personality / Characteristics *Keywords: #gentle, #lovepeople, #timid *Energy Level (1~10): Lv. 6 *He is a very social, gentle pup.😊 Can be timid but adapts to new environment pretty quickly! Can greet one dog at a time slowly but is still slightly scared to visit dog café where he will see many dogs. *Kuku really loves people and greets them by giving kisses! His tail wags like a helicopter! May take some time to adapt to a new person he met for a first time. *Kuku turned to be more outgoing recently! In familiar places, he hops and jumps around. *Is still scared of unfamiliar places, he is getting used to new foster home. Once he becomes more familiar, he becomes lively right away! *Is fearful of doorbell sounds or strange sounds. This should get better through desensitization training! *He used to nibble from teething but got all better through training! *When Kuku looks at the mirror trying to dual with his self-reflection or hearing a sudden noise, he can bark a little bit but doesn’t bark too much. *Due to his weekly medicated bath, Kuku doesn’t prefer bathing….😢He is fearful of nail clipping too. When his fear level is at its peak he can become aggressive. *He is a good boy with good mannered walking! Of course, he doesn’t pull his leash and can stop and wait when his walker stops or waits at a road signal. He may get tense from fear when a car or person goes by. *He has a little carsickness, especially from long car rides. *Can have some shedding! *Mastered Commands: "Sit, paw, lie down, nose" He can learn quickly by teaching him just once👍 *Favorites: Plush puppy toys, squeaky toys, trests, people, wood branch

Story
Meet Nunu🩵 He was rescued from dog meat farm where they illegally slaughtered dogs for 14 years. Nunu looks very handsome and has dark eyelines who resembles wolves, and because his eyes look extremely charming, we have named him Nunu(Eun Woo)🥰 (Cha Eun Woo is a very good looking, handsome Korean actor). Nunu has an outgoing, energetic personality who gets along well with both human and other doggy friends and gets praised in any places.🐶 *Separation anxiety: He can whimper when his foster mom and dad leave together, but when they leave separately in 30 seconds to 1 minute apart, he doesn’t whimper and takes a rest. *Potty training: Housebroken 99.9%, pees on pad when he can’t wait. *More interested in people than doggy friends, and more interested in human adults than children! He likes to act cute and be a lovebug to even human strangers.🐕 *Gets along well with puppy friends, likes to play with small sized dogs and can be very sweet to puppies. *Likes to greet people outside but can be shy to visitors coming to his foster’s home and doesn’t go near to visitors. *Meeting men over 50 years old is scary so he growls in a low voice and tries to run away but no nipping. When meeting people outside, he walks good and doesn’t like someone to pet him but still accepts it. *Interested in cats so he approaches them first. If you say “No”, then he comes back. *Likes to go another place after his walking training is done but once his leash gets pulled, then he follows the foster right away. *Will whimper if he wants something, but he gives up quickly and stops making a whimpering sound. If you say “No”, he stops right away. *He doesn’t cause accidents or no indoor marking!😊 💌Health condition💌 * Neutered * Microchipped, heartworm negative upon retesting 💙 Nunu’s foster Instagram : @lovelyari_adogs_eunwo

Meet Danpoong🍂🍁 (Danpoong 단풍 means maple in Korean) * Interaction with People : Is not particularly interested in strangers, but if she wants to befriend someone or to acquire something from them, she quietly comes closer and stands by. Enjoys sleeping together with the family and checks on the family by visiting rooms. Is smart enough to come to family and boast that she has consumed all the food when finishing a meal. * Interaction with Dogs: Has good manners, politely greeting other dogs as they come. Instead of going up to welcome them, she observes them from a distance and is adept at going on walks without paying much attention to them. * Separation Anxiety: Can play well by herself and sleep soundly when the family departs. * Potty Training: Prefers outdoor potty but even indoors, she's 100% accurate with potty pads! * Hygiene: Not a fan of baths or having paws wiped but remains calm until things are done. * Walks: Comes over, wagging her tail even when the leash is up. Knows how to walk in step with a walker and does not pull on the leash much. May become frightened when the wind blows or someone approaches making loud noises. * Car Sickness: Short distance ride doesn't cause motion sickness to her while long distance ride causes mild nausea. 😭 💌 Special Notes💌 * Has mastered commands like 'sit, stay, paw, touch, turn around, give.' A quick learner and a clever pup.

Story
Got Luna as a puppy from a shelter at 3 months old. Raised her until about 5 years. My partner and I recently had an infant and have had to downsize our house. Unfortunately Luna cannot come with us to the new apartment but we still love her very much and would like her to have a warm and loving home. She loves to dig and run and chase smaller animals. She is crate trained and knows sit and lay commands. She is extremely sweet and loyal but needs more time and space than our family can manage at this time.

*EMPTY THE SHELTERS - now through Oct 15th, my adoption fee is only $50, thanks to the Bissell Pet Foundation!*Remi is a friendly German Shepherd Dog who came to the shelter with her friend Rajah. Their foster says they are lovely houseguests. Remi is great at self-entertaining and will toss a tennis ball for herself for hours. She's been good with children and has liked all people she has met. In typical shepherd-fashion, she sometimes has a lot to say when she sees other dogs out on walks. Remi is happiest hanging with Rajah and her foster family in the backyard with some tennis balls or jolly balls. Remi and Rajah can be adopted together as a 2 for 1 special or they can be adopted separately. Please email frontdesk@auburnvalleyhs.org if you would like to meet her.
