Story
Meet Sugar!  This gorgeous and sweet girl was found in the streets of a very busy city with her partner (Cane) and her 9 puppies!!!!! This girl is not only extremely friendly, but an amazing mom.  She loves to cuddle and wants affection. Give her some tummy rubs and she'll be your best friend for life. She has a very well balanced personality and gets along great with other dogs. She is currently learning to leave kitties alone so hopefully she will be cat friendly soon too.  She is also very smart and learns quickly. Her favorite things are toys, walks and spending time outside. She would love a fenced yard with a doggie door where she can come and go all day long if possible. She is housebroken, crate & leash trained.  She is fully vetted and ready to find her furrever home.  Her ideal family would be one with other dogs and children.  She loves to be around humans. A really great fit for any living situation. She is being fostered in Salem, OR and is available for meet and greets.   Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future from a city that has an animal crisis.  We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wondering our streets.  So many have been dumped and cannot find their way home.  Many never even had a home and were born on the streets.  WE gave them a chance.  Every animal deserves a chance. We know if adopted by you they will be loved and cared for . We believe in our local and out of state applicants.  There is a reason we drive to the Pacific Northwest every 2 weeks.  You are worth the drive. We have AMAZING adopters and we need more like them.  No matter if you live here in Houston, the Pacific Northwest or Canada we welcome you!  Thank you for considering to adopt and not shop.  If we are in Houston, then how can you see our posts?   Spring Branch Rescue has fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Yes our rescue is in Houston.  Our available animals live with foster families.  This is a win for you as the transition from our home to yours will be a much easier one.  We do have foster homes in your area.  This is why you are able to see our posts. Almost all our animals traveling have been adopted those who haven't been adopted are transported up to local foster families until they find a perfect match.  We have been doing this since 2019 and very successful.  Please take a look at our adopters reviews https://greatnonprofits.org/org/spring-branch-rescue ##1781575##

Say hello to Junior!  He is incredibly sweet and smart.  This adorable boy can be a little shy at first, but once he opens up you will feel all the love he has to give.  Junior has learned a few tricks and if you have a yummy treat he will be glad to show them to you.  Our adorable boy is also crate traned (not his favorite place as he loves to be part of the action, but will sleep very well in it).  This smart boy is also leash train and does very well in the car.  He will be an incredible fit for any family.    Why adopt from Texas? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future. An opportunity to be loved and cared for by good and loving families. There is a reason why we make the trip to your area every two weeks. You are worth the drive. Story
Meet Daisha, a remarkable and resilient canine who has overcome unimaginable hardships. At just two years and six months old, this gentle soul weighs around 50 pounds. It's hard to fathom that behind those innocent eyes lies a dog with a heart full of love and impeccable behavior. Daisha's timid and submissive nature is a clear indication of the mistreatment she endured in her past. It took two whole days to capture her, as she had become an expert at crawling into corners and hiding in tight spots. On the day she was found, the weather was dreadful - with pouring rain and a bone-chilling temperature of 34°. Despite her physical discomfort, she limped through busy streets, desperately searching for shelter. It seemed as though she had recently given birth to puppies, but sadly, there were no little ones by her side. Today, Daisha has blossomed into a cuddly companion, finding solace in the warmth of human presence. She adores spending time with babies and little dogs, showcasing her nurturing side. However, her experiences on the streets have made her a bit more assertive around larger dogs. Nevertheless, she is playful and enjoys snuggling up on the couch, often falling into deep slumber due to her low energy levels. Daisha's impeccable leash manners and her adorable habit of greeting you with her paw demonstrate her eagerness to please. She has also mastered a few impressive tricks! For those interested in adopting Daisha, transportation is available every two weeks. And if you're a Canadian adopter, you can even meet her in Bellingham, WA. Story
Meet Kuku🩵 On a cold winter night, Danpoong gave birth to 5 puppies at Korean city shelter. She and her pups got severe scabies prompting urgent rescue to Adogs center. Their mother Danpoong took great care of her puppies, and the pups were chubby and healthy. His round eyes and long pointy ears are so lovely! He's such a cute little puppy with an adorable round mouth 😍 * Separation anxiety: None! * Keywords: #gentle, #lovepeople, #timid * Energy level (1~10): Indoors lv.6, outdoors lv 2-3 * Loves people so much, gives kisses to everyone he meets wagging with his tail-copter! 😍 * Very social and gentle 😊 A little fearful but adapts quickly wherever he goes! He can handle meeting one dog by taking time but is a little fearful of dog cafes as of yet. * He has become more active lately! Hops around in familiar places and when visiting new places, he sits calmly next to his guardian or naps. * Rarely barks, he barks only at his own reflection in the mirror or with sudden noise. 😊 * Very well-mannered during walks! Does not pull his leash, waits when the caregiver stops * Already mastered “Sit”, “Shake”, and “Down”. He’s a quick learner😊 * Favorites: stuffed animals, squeaky toys, food, people, sticks

Story
Meet Susu🩷 On a cold winter night, Danpoong gave birth to five dogs at Korean city shelter, one of which is Susu. After receiving such good care from her mom, Susu was in great health, and she is now staying with a foster family. Susu is a cutie who like to cuddle with her foster fam all the time❣️ She doesn't bark at strangers, but doesn't like sudden approaches from the strangers. She likes to say hi slowly. Susu is curious about everything. She likes to climb up to high places and get into small spaces like a cat🤣 * Separation anxiety: Susu whines when she finds no one around after waking up. But she plays well after a while. * Potty training: 100% success with pee, 95% with poop. 🤣 * She greets family with joy and tries to play with them! But she is also good at being independent. * Susu rarely barks. She only barks or whimpers when a stranger comes into her area suddenly or when she is being scolded. * Loves dog friends! She approaches dogs with no fear and tries to play with them🥰 * Great with bathing! Doesn't run away during bath time. * Not so good on car rides. She vomits on rides over 10 minutes.😢 * Great with walking! * Mastered "sit," "paw," "down," "bang(play dead)" "hi-five," and "fetch" 👍🏼👍🏼 * Favorites: playing tug, ball 💙 Susu's foster instagram 👉🏼 @chchicchoc

Story
Got Luna as a puppy from a shelter at 3 months old. Raised her until about 5 years. My partner and I recently had an infant and have had to downsize our house. Unfortunately Luna cannot come with us to the new apartment but we still love her very much and would like her to have a warm and loving home. She loves to dig and run and chase smaller animals. She is crate trained and knows sit and lay commands. She is extremely sweet and loyal but needs more time and space than our family can manage at this time.
